Rayland Acres Assisted Living was very nice and very clean. It's a well-run establishment. The staff was very knowledgeable about everything and very caring of the residents. The apartments were very clean. They had their own space, and everybody there was very happy.

I toured Rayland Acres Assisted Living. I felt it wouldn't be suitable for my mother. She's more active than what the people are there, they're kind of immobile. It's like a house, and it's got a second floor, which I guess the residents that stay up there, that's just where they stay. I guess if they want to come down, they have this seat that you can get on and come down. I know that the lady said that they were in the process of building a new facility. They've bought land and built a new facility, and it will be all on one floor. They have small bedrooms. And there was one bedroom that was more or less like two people could stay in like there was a couple of ladies that chose just to stay in the same room because they enjoyed each other. But I think all the other rooms were just single rooms. They were small but suitable for a patient to stay into. I saw this lady sitting and reading to some patients. It was clean. There's a room when you come in, and that's where my husband and I sat and I guess the house manager, she sat and talked to us and explained everything about the facility. They did have a very small dining area. The staff seemed pretty friendly. They seemed pretty active with the people that were there. They offered to take their people where they needed to go. It looked maintained ok.

We went to Rayland Acres Assisted Living. It was too close quarters, not enough privacy, and too many steps and obstacles for my husband, so we ruled that one out immediately. My husband has Alzheimer's, so he needs memory care. They were very, very nice to me. They gave me all the information I needed, and they gave us a very nice tour. They were very, very nice, and it was a very thorough tour. I saw every room.
