"I love Arcadia of Denton. It was gorgeous. My mother is a Christian Scientist so they take no drugs, and Arcadia of Denton were willing to try her without drugs, so that's no problem with them. However, when her long-term care insurance is drained, my mother would have to move somewhere else and I didn't want to move her. Arcadia of Denton is spectacular. If you want memory care, go there. There are only 18 people in the whole place that is locked down totally. They have the run of the house and they can do what they want. They could stay in their room and watch television, and they can wander or sit in the living room or in the kitchen to eat family style. They roam around wherever they want in the house. It is spectacular that they are not forced to do anything they don't want other than they have to eat family style. They even help prepare meals. The staff is caring and friendly. I would like to have my mother in there but they don't take Medicare or Medicaid. The menu looked good, and they're prepared right in front of the people. I just love the place. The room is nice and fairly good size, too. They have activities. Residents were helping decorate for Thanksgiving when I was there, which was nice. They were really friendly. It was just like a 18-people family. It was so nice and was more family style. Everybody knows each others' name. The whole building is lockdown, but they can wander free there. It is just fabulous."

"I am so impressed with Complete Care Silver Lake. A big shout out to all the nurses and aids, they are AWESOME and genuinely caring people. Dietary has been very responsive to Mom’s (many!) requests, and they put in 200% effort to serve tasty meals with a smile! Silver Lake also has a great activity program, working hard to offer something for everyone. The administrator is kind and involved—he’s a person that listens to residents, that means so much! It’s been incredibly difficult to realize Mom needed nursing care—but Silver Lake made it just a little easier because Mom is treated like family in their caring community. "My mom is currently staying in Westminster Village in Dover. The place is very welcoming and pleasant. The staff is top-notch. They have regular chair exercise classes available. They have a game night and a movie night. They have religious services on Sunday mornings and a common dining room where they can all sit down and have meals together. The food is very good. The cost is very reasonable. My mother already had some acquaintances living there, so it was a very nice fit for her."

"State Street Assisted Living was very nice, very well done, and well maintained. It had a kind of colonial look to it. The color schemes and the lighting were more of the colonial aesthetic. The decor inside was very nice. They didn't have much in the way of grounds outside of the facility. They had a major front porch with chairs, which apparently, a lot of the residents liked to sit on. The staff was very nice and pleasant. The rooms were a little smaller. I did visit what's called a studio room and it had a kitchenette but it occupied part of the main living space, so it kind of restricted the living space. They also had the Studio Deluxes and the 1-bedroom apartments, which had more room. Their dining area looked like a restaurant, and it was very nice. I saw some pool tables and a chapel. The elevators were clean, and each floor was very similar to the previous floor. They had gathering areas on each floor, and the amenities were good. I was quite impressed."

"Mom is moving into The Residence at Eden Green. I would give them five stars all the way across because they have been more than accommodating to my sister and me through all we've gone through. The staff members introduced themselves to us the other day when we were moving my mom's furniture in there, and they were very pleasant and very kind. It is beautiful, very clean, and very safe."

"We looked at Heron Point of Chestertown which is a continuing care community. It has cottages, assisted living apartments, and a full memory care unit on site. So it's full scale. They have benches by the river, they have outdoor seating and many of the cottages have their own decks and porches. The apartments all have decks or balconies. The grounds are very well-landscaped, it's beautiful with walking paths, and it's walking distance to a small rural historical colonial town. The person who showed me around during the tour was energetic and knowledgeable. The rooms have appliances including a washer and dryer. They have a swimming pool and gym, they have exercise classes, clubs, and a library. So there's a lot to do. It's a very active population."

"It was nice. It was clean and the people were very friendly, very nice, and knowledgeable. They gave us a good tour of the place and gave us a good idea of what we wanted. The rooms were adequately sized and had a good layout. They seemed to have daily activities and larger weekly activities. So, we were happy with it. The menu looked fine too."

"My mother has been at Corsica since Nov of 2016 and I can not say enough great things about the staff. She is in their Homestead Memory Care Unit and the nurses, aides, director and activity staff are amazing. They take such excellent care of mom and this gives me such peace of mind especially since I live in Delaware and I'm not as close as I would have liked. It is such a hard thing to put a loved one in a nursing home but if you need to, I would highly recommend Corsica Hills."
