i like the place. It has a bit of a family feel to it. The food is not good enough or plentiful enough, and there are not enough activities (the patients can get really bored), but I think that is typical of the average nursing home in the US. I like the nurses and the aides. They are doing the best they can.

We brought my mom to Genesis Milford Center. It's nice and neat inside. The people are really nice. They have a lot of things for the residents to do.

The facility is in a very convenient location right off Route 113 is formally known as Milford Manor. The security at the home is very tight, which compared to other facilities I have visited it is a huge plus. From the outside it looks very nice and well kept. Everything on the inside is on one story which gave me a comfort level given my mother's restrictions. The nursing staff was very nice, however there was a general lack of competence among the aides and they had a neutral at best attitude. The place very clean, but definitely had a hospital feel. They were not well equipped for visitors as the living areas were very tight. Once settled into the home you could see signs of the age of the building cracks in the walls, older windows, and fixtures (lighting, bathrooms, etc.). When I used the public bathroom someone had previously tripped the alarm and nobody seemed interested in turning it off. For the money, I felt we could have found something better, but Milford does not have many options.
