"I am very sad to see the problems people had at this nursing home. I do see that most of them are several years old. I know that there was a comprehensive shake up in administration two years ago because it was going on as my 86 year old mother with Alzheimers was being admitted for rehab . I saw the reviews and was nervous but had choice at the time. I am glad to say that the care she receives in the memory care area is PHENOMENAL. I was so pleased that she is now a permanent resident there and has improved greatly (physically and socially) due to both the medical and skilled care she receives. She is on a very challenging diet and they adhere to it strictly. Her caretakers care for her as if she were their own loved one. I cannot say enough positive words about our experience there. "

"Our 81 year old mother was a recent resident. She lived independently and took a fall which landed her in the hospital and then in Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation. Her stay lasted 3 months. Not one time did she or her family have a concern for her safety or care. She never complained about being there. The staff was so very kind, gentle and compassionate. Her rehabilitation team helped her progress so she could again go home. The activities provided was just what she needed socially. Her room was always clean as was she. As her family we are so very grateful for the work you do. She truly misses the friendships made while being a patient there but is thankful to once again be home. May God Bless!!! "

"I've been to Healthsouth Chesapeake. The staff was very good as was the atmosphere. They had activities where you could join in with other folks, like singing and playing games, etc. The care was very good, and the doctors came in once or twice a day to check on me. There were also nurses available. "

"We picked Salisbury for the price. It’s not perfect, but it’s a nice place. At first, there was some staff we loved and some we hated, but now that they really have gotten to know her, she’s become friends with them. It’s really a lot better. They do a lot of activities, like bingo, arts and crafts, and tree decorating. They give her so much food that she can’t finish it. "

"I've volunteered at Deer's Head Hospital Center as a chaplain, so I know it well. It's state run, and the staff are very empathetic and professional. They take the time to get to know everyone on a first-name basis "“ and they go out of their way to give individual attention. They're also well trained; they're constantly getting updated training. It's located in Salisbury, Maryland "“ and the setting is gorgeous. It overlooks a lake, and the grounds are well kept. They really encourage patients to go outside. They offer fishing, a sweetheart garden with a water fountain, a picnic area, all to get patients out of their rooms. They also have 3 activities each day. It could be exercise, sewing, group newspaper reading, bingo, or something else. And from what I've seen, the activities are well attended. The food is good. It's mostly prepared and brought in from the outside, but it's not the usual institutional fare. And they do make their soups on site. The rooms are mostly 3 patients to a room, but they have some private rooms. And all the rooms are clean and well kept. And they monitor the patients constantly. They're also very serious about safety and hygiene. They have a hand sanitizer in every room. "

"We brought my mom to Genesis Milford Center. It's nice and neat inside. The people are really nice. They have a lot of things for the residents to do. "

"Anchorage has a troubled history but since the new management took over things have really changed. The care is excellent. The staff was wonderful to my aunt. And, wonder of wonders, the food was good. She was delighted. The facility could use a facelift but the quality of care more than makes up for that. "

"My mother is at Country Rest Home. It's very nice and it looks like a country setting. The staff is fantastic. The owner and his son are very helpful, and they're always available. The inside of the facility is nice, but the outside is very beautiful. It looks like something an older person would enjoy. They're doing a very good job. I'm very satisfied."
