My mom is staying in Westminster Village in Dover. She's in long-term care. I like the facility itself, it's spacious. They have a lot of activities there for the residents too and everyone is friendly. They provide good service and the type of care that my mother needs. She requires a lot more attention than most. I know that they can't do one-on-one but they do the best they can with her. She is a dialysis patient and they get her there on time. It's very hard to find a place like that because a lot of the places don't even take dialysis patients. She is in a room by herself and it is a spacious room. Once it's time for her to be changed, because of her dementia, she yells out, which would disturb somebody else quite a bit so she is in a room by herself. They have nice big closets in there. They have plenty of wheelchairs because a lot of the patients there need them. They roam around freely in an area that is secured so they don't get lost. Safety is a big thing for them. It's a very large facility and they're very clean too. In every place that I've looked at so far, they would be number one to me, that's why we ended up putting my mother there. They may cost more than the other places, but we understand why and that's because you're getting better care there. We moved her from a different facility because we wanted more cleanliness and better care and that's what we ended up getting. They cost more than the other facilities that we've checked out but because of how large that place is, it has different wings for different types of patients. The cost that they have is where it is because of the type of staff they have and how large that building is. They do just about anything that you need. For my mom who requires different things, they accommodate different things that she needs. If it's something that they don't have, they get it for her. I appreciate that she's not missing anything that she had at home before having to go into a skilled nursing home because she's getting everything there.

Westminster Village in Dover was very, very nice. I liked everything about it. I looked at the assisted living for my husband, and we drove through their independent community. I liked the assisted living. However, he chose not to go. They had very cute little apartments. The people there were wonderful. I spoke to them several times, but my husband chose not to go, so I didn't pursue it any further. The staff was very kind, very knowledgeable, and very pleasant. They had a pretty, little, almost like a cafe-type setup, with a piano.

I went on a tour at Westminster Village in Dover and what I liked the best was the 2-bedroom unit. It felt like you were cozy with your neighbors, but you had your own autonomy. You could go in and out from the outside or the inside of the building. They also showed me a cottage, but I decided the cottage was a little too isolated for me. I saw the apartments, the dining room, and the activity room. And I saw the way the landscaping was done. I saw all of that. The staff was a very, very nice woman. She was very knowledgeable about what my options would be there. They showed me the library, and they had a fitness room and a pool room. I saw some ladies that were shooting pool. The grounds were particularly charming, and you could do a little gardening if you wanted to. I thought that was very nice. And I found it to be very conveniently located.

My mom will be moving into Westminster Village in Dover. It was very well decorated. The rooms were a very generous size with private bathrooms. What I particularly liked about it was that it's a nonprofit organization. They had a patio area just outside the memory care unit. So, it's enclosed and safe. The staff who assisted us was very positive, upbeat, and informative.

My mother is in Westminster Village at Dover which is a continued care facility. We were very pleased with it and we recommended it to my mother-in-law. It seems like a really good choice other than a nursing home. It seems like a place that would take care of her and she's comfortable there. My oldest sister is the one they communicate with, and she gets updates on a weekly basis by phone. My mom loves it. They haven't opened up activities because of COVID, so she's only met about 5 of her neighbors. She's very excited about the activities, but she hasn't participated in them yet and she just got her second vaccination. It's very clean. My mom had an issue with her heater when she first moved in and maintenance came and fixed it right away. They have a gym, they've got a dining room but I think they give classes too but they're not open right now. She has meals delivered to her door 3 times a day. My mom is real picky about her food and she is really pleased with all the dinners that she's been given. We've had lunch with her twice now; they're really delicious and healthy.

I visited Westminster Village in Dover, but my sister doesn't earn enough to go there. It has independent and assisted living levels, and a nursing home. It was a lovely, clean community, and the people were nice and friendly. There was a family atmosphere. We liked the living arrangements. The apartments we saw were like hotel rooms, and we were just looking for an efficiency room. The rooms had a kitchen with a microwave and a small refrigerator and offered one to three bedrooms with a den. The size was good; there was lots of closet space and space in the bathroom for your wheelchair. On one floor they had a nice kitchen-like cafeteria where everyone could come to sit down and eat. The staff explained everything to us. I talked to one of the nurses and to one of the people who cleans the room and helps with the laundry; they were great.

There care for the residents are not good. The nurses and CNAS are intimidating toward the residents. They dont groom them they yell at them. And when things are reported nothing gets done. The State just look at whatever paper work that the management seem to make sound good and the problems still exist. They are not compliant if there is not enough staff. On paper says one thing but seeing the truth of being there of what is really going on. They have no rights they are controlled no showers staff sits around. Residents complain on the transitional care unit all the time they dont get showers and one cna went in a room shut the light off and did not meet the residents need. I would not bring my love one here no activities on the weekend its really sad. Where are your corporate staff to allow this to continue.Where is the federal government to allow this.

Worst nursing home ever. Don't send your loved one there. My mother in law was there as a private pay because she didn't have enough time between stays and Medicare wouldn't pay even though she had broken bones and needed rehabilitation. But the care she received was horrible. They left her nude on the bed to wash herself and never came back. We came in to see her sitting there nude. They didn't come when she called for help. You would think that her basic needs would be met, but not the case. The staff was alerted on all instances but to no avail. We even med with the Nursing Supervisor and nothing changed. People were sitting out around the nursing desk with no one really watching over them. One lady was in a wheel chair pushed up against a table with her forehead on the table. Its horrible how the elderly are treated by these places and the government. Shame on them all!

I had my mother live in Westminster Village because it had the memory center which she needed. The facility is clean and neat. The staff were comforting and responsive to her needs. She never felt pressured inside the facility. They also had appropriate levels of activities for the residents. My mom had an apartment complete with a living area, bedroom and handicapped accessible bathroom.

I was shopping at the thrift store that some of the retirees run every weekend, and I decided walk around and see this place, considering I have family members that would benefit from a place such as this. The grounds seemed well kept and from the exterior, it seemed like a pleasant enough place to live. The housing is apartment style, which allows for people to live individually, however there are community areas, which allows for the people living there to be social as well. The staff seemed to be caring, and very helpful with answering questions and assisting people when they needed it. Overall, it was a rather decent place to be, and I would consider recommending it to some one who wanted an alternative to in-home elder care. The people are friendly, understanding, and helpful, and the living conditions seem nice and homely.

My grandparents moved there years ago after my grandmother had a stroke. Originally, they lived in the independent living area, but then my grandmother's health deteriorated and she could no longer care for herself, and my grandfather was unable to care for her well enough, so she moved into the assisted living area. She has been there for 9 years, and the staff have been wonderful. They give my grandmother the attention she deserves, even though she has Alzheimer's and doesn't ever remember any of them. The only thing my family has ever complained about with them is the bureaucracy of it, in that sometimes the staff will let something slip through the cracks with my grandmother's insurance and she'll get a massive bill because someone forgot to fill out paperwork.

I had no con's about this facility when I visited here. There was one thing that could improve and that is the amount of staff that is on hand. It seems like they are short staff. But the features and accommodations that this facility offers are great. It's very clean and in a very nice area. The staff that was available is extremely friendly and was very helpful and thorough when explaining how things are ran there. Out of all the assisting living facilities I have visited this one would definitely be the one that I recommend for others to go check out. They also have private rooms and semi-private rooms and their nursing care is 24 hours. Their kitchen is extremely nice, and just the entire setup from the time I walked into the door to the time that I left, everything was organized and they seem like they know what their doing, and they do it very well. It don't get any better then Westminster Village.

Westminster Village is a very nice facility. The staff was very courteous and they were willing and able to answer any questions that I had. I currently have my mother who lives in this community. She lives in an apartment and is very pleased with it. The common areas are very tidy and appear to be well kept. Another wonderful feature about Westminster is the location, it is located right in the middle of Dover, and there are plenty of things to do. Many of the stores are just a few blocks away. This is a wonderful facility, with a wonderful staff and an up beat atmosphere. I would highly recommend it.
