"This facility was very warm and welcoming. The staff was cheerful and the people living there were also very pleasant. Decor in the building was very classy and bright. The facility is also very clean and organized. I was there around dinner time and I felt that the residents were treated with respect by the staff, they were not treated as children, they were aloud to eat dinner if they chose and they also we able to pick what they wanted. Overall I think this was a great place the staff and residents as well as visitors all seemed to be pleased with the place. One of the residents had a cat that ran around the building and was very friendly. I think having an animal in that atmosphere is a great idea to lift spirits. "

"My mother-in-law is in Merion Gardens, and we are very happy. Whenever we are there, the staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice. The one that she is in right now is very nice and very spacious. I know they have things available to do. She likes that the library is right across the hall from her room. She likes to read, so she likes the access that she has to the books there. I have not eaten there, but my mother-in-law has not complained about the food. The dining room is quite clean and has a nice appearance. "

"I thought Forwood Manor was wonderful. Of all the facilities I looked at, it was by far the best. It’s like a beautiful apartment, you really didn’t hospital feeling or facility feeling, it’s like a country club. The dining facility was fantastic with a 4 or 5 star chef. They had a broad tray that you choose and eat a little bit. They had food for families who will be visiting. It was very nice. One of the things I like was that they have a garden, and they do gardening with the results. They can get outside and put their hands on the dirt. "

"After 4 months of in-home care for our Mom, we decided to look at some assisted living facilities in our area. Although very nice, the ones we visited seemed a little overwhelming to Mom. A friend told us about a newly renovated facility in Arden that had just re-opened. We decided to check it out. Thus began our love affair with Ivy Gables, a beautifully appointed 24 room senior living facility nestled in the community of Ardentown which just happens to be 5 minutes from our home. We particularly liked that it was a small facility, knowing that it would be more comforting to Mom. Of course, what’s a beautiful facility without warm and friendly people to bring it to life!! The staff at Ivy Gables outshines all of its beautiful appointments! They are top notch, professional folks who welcomed us and have went the extra mile to make our Mom (and us) feel at home! Knowing that our Mom is safe and in the hands of such kind and loving folks, has given us such peace of mind!” "

"We took a tour of Juniper Village at Newark. I didn't get a complete picture of what the memory care looked like because it was quarantined due to a COVID case. The assisted living area, which is probably somewhat similar to memory care, looked pretty good. It looked like there was a lot for the people there to do, and all the areas were pretty comfortable for those staying there. It also looked clean to me. The tour guide answered all of our questions and gave us a good idea of how their facilities work, and how they take care of the people there."

"We used Friends Home in Kennett for my mom’s respite care. It was very good, and we were quite happy with it. Everything, including the food, was quite good. The amenities were excellent, the cost was outstanding, and it was close to home. Everything we wanted was there. We’re quite happy with the choice and would go there again and recommend it to others. "

"Harmony at Glasgow had no laundry and no full kitchen inside the apartments. The staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I saw the menu. The facilities were very clean, well-organized, bright, and cheerful."

"My father is in Abbey Manor. It was close to us and homey. They have activities, like listening to music. He's thriving and doing well there. It's really nice. The staff communicates with us very well."

"My mom is at Chestnut Ridge, and they have been taking care of her very well. She is in a nice room, but sometimes when I visit her there it doesn’t smell good as she is a little incontinet. As far as her medications and meals, they do stay on top of those things."

"I toured Meadowcrest at Middletown, and I absolutely loved it. They have semi-private rooms, and it was nice. It had more room than I thought it would have for a shared room. I also visited a single room, and it was rather a nice size. There's a lot of room in there and a lot of furniture. Everything in the entire facility was well-kept. I saw the people that were in there. They were all happy, smiling, and talking to you. The staff was very pleasant. They greeted you and said hi to you as you saw them, even in the hall down in memory care. Some of the people were sitting around tables and conversing, and some of them were sitting around watching the television. I saw where their dining area was, and it was set up rather nicely. They have tea and water in there for their residents to get drinks and some snacks throughout the day (if they need any). The whole place was very clean. I saw their salon and an exercise room. They had beautiful outside places for you to go and sit outside. You would actually see nature, instead of another building or some industrial place. It was like being in a forest with a lot of trees, instead of the middle of the city."

"I have a friend who lives at Arbour Court & she loves it, the staff is attentive & the residents are lovely. We find each time we go to visit that the management & staff cannot do enough for us. What else can we say. Nancy Newman Springfield Delco"

"We chose Rose Tree Place as she lives near the area. The staff seemed to be very nice and so far everything is going along very well. The dining room is very nice, they have tablecloths, it’s like a restaurant, and the rooms were spacious. There are lot of activities like they had outings, bingo night, cards, music, offerings, and trips to the grocery store. The food is adequate, but the food can always be improved on. "

"My mother has moved into Springfield Crossings. She is doing very well. The staff members are awesome. We love them. She is in a newly renovated room, so it's nice. We're having some issues getting some maintenance done. As far as the facility itself, it's a bit older. It needs some work. The dining area is set up like a restaurant. I have not tried the meals, but my mother loves the food. They have lots of different activities. I think she has participated in some of them. They have bingo, music, movies, and crafts. They're right off the highway, so it's secure. It's reasonably priced."

"The receptionist let me walked around the general area of Villa Saint Martha. I saw some folks playing bingo, crossword puzzles, while others were socializing. As far as the food for my mother, if she has certain dietary constraints they would cater to that and she would not be restricted. The staff are very friendly. However, they don't offer as much activities. "
