"My tour at Woodview Estates Assisted Living was fine. The staff that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable about the place, they knew everything, and showed us everything. It's a place in the woods, out of the way of traffic and everything. It was very clean. They showed us some rooms,. They're the average size for a single person. It'd a homey community."

"All American at Washington Township had multiple floors and that concerned me. The apartment had two rooms and then they shared a bathroom and a common area, and I did not like that as much as having your own room. They had quite an array of activities and a lot of programs going. The staff seemed pretty congenial and pretty enthusiastic. The facility was brand new."

"I visited Terraces at Parke Place. I toured both their memory care and assisted living facilities. I thought it was nice. Their assisted living was much nicer than memory care, but I understand that they have to keep a tight rein on them. It was a nice facility. The staff was nice. The one woman who helped me, I think her name's Aisha, she's very knowledgeable about the facility, and she volunteered a lot of information. She answered questions that I probably would not have remembered or known to ask; she was good. When I went there, they were getting some stuff ready, like games and different stuff. I didn't see them actually playing, but there were women in the game room. They have painting, word find, and different stuff like that."

"My mother is at Spring Oak. It’s a nice place, and it's spotless clean. They have plenty of activities for their residents. They have bingo, parties, and a book club. They have caring nurses, and they are very patient with my mother. They check on her hourly at night and make sure she is not getting up. "

"It is a 1-floor facility. My mother has a nice room, her own bathroom, and her own living space. They have activities. I have dined there, and it's fine. They've got physical therapy and a nice television room. It has easy access."

"My mom has moved into Merion Gardens. It is a very nice and clean place. The staff seems to be fairly efficient and they're pleasant. My mom's room is being kept clean, and she is getting good care. I'm happy with it, and as mad as she was about having to go there, she likes it now. The activities are sufficient for her because she doesn't remember too much. It is a nice place if that's what you have to be in. She has only been there for a few weeks, but I'm pretty happy with it. Food is pretty good, too."

"I went to SpringHome at Galloway. I like the smaller size of it. They have a capacity for a total of 70 residents. I feel that it makes it feel more like a home atmosphere and not like an institutional-type atmosphere when it's smaller like that. I liked everything about it. The apartments were nice. As you walk through the entire area, you feel like you're visiting somebody's home. They have smaller separate dining rooms. They have general areas where people can gather. Those were very nice. They had a pretty garden outside with a walking path, which was very nice. I like that on-site, they have a physical therapist and occupational therapist. They have a therapy dog that comes in once a week to visit with the residents. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I spoke with three different members of the staff when I was there. They give the impression that they're concerned about the care of the residents, that it is the number one priority when they're there. They gave a good impression. Everything looked very clean. It seemed very easy to move about, to go from one area to another. Everything seemed fine with that."

"The rehab I did at Millville Center wasn't much. They were supposed to rehab me for my right leg, but it was nothing more than getting your blood circulating. It wasn't helping me at all. They had a nurse practitioner there and she didn't respond well to my needs. Some of the staff also didn't respond to my needs, so I wouldn't recommend that place. My accommodation wasn't bad in that respect but I ended up being on long-term, and I had a roommate, and I didn't like that guy. They have an activity room where they had some guest musicians and arts and crafts activities."

"New Standard Senior Living at Millville was new, so everything was in good shape. The facility was clean. The residents seemed well cared for. It wasn't as homey, so it was kind of sterile-looking, like there was very little artwork on the walls. It's just pretty basic. It was light and bright. I saw the staff member interacting with the residents. When we walked into the room, a lot of the residents waved. The staff waved back at them, like the residents obviously recognized her and saw her as a friend. They had an activities director, and they seemed to have a full calendar. They had three or four activities a day on their calendar. They had a gym and a hair salon. There weren't TVs in the common areas where they could watch TV together."

"J C Plaza seemed really nice. The staff during my visit were nice. They were quick to answer. It was convenient, as it was right down the road from us. "

"Baker Place was nice and very comfortable. People were happy there. My mom was happy with it. It's a reasonably nice place, and my mom would be comfortable there. "

"I live in a Dorchester cottage, which means I have two bedrooms, two baths, an open living room, dining area and kitchen, a den, and a garage. Having lived in a three story farm house for 65 years, this was no easy transition, but certainly a wonderfully smooth one. My daughters often spend several nights with me, doing projects and enjoying each other. One daughter enjoys creating my flower beds, both of them help me with inside chores. The garage is a bonus, for careful storage, and a car that's ready to go. Beyond the housing bonuses, life at the Village has many great points: the kitchen turns out wonderful meals that we enjoy in the atmosphere of the dining room. Our PT women provide excellent exercises involving strength training, stretching and balance. The Residents Association and Activities Department work together on weekly movies, craft projects, and monthly trips. My life here is good!"
