"I toured United Methodist Communities at The Shores. It's large, there are more care levels from hospice down to independent senior living. There's a variety of opportunities for working out, for socialization, and for engagement with the community. It's very well-kept, nicely decorated, and very accommodating. The staff was very gracious, pleasant, clean, and professional and all identified with their badges."

"It is like personalized care. My father likes it there. They cater to all the residents. They maintain his room once a week and then I go in between that time and I clean up for him. They have a large family room, and then they have a smaller room. They have set planned activities every day. Even though my father doesn't participate, he is in the common area. If they have ice cream, they'll bring ice cream over to him. Even though he is not participating, they still bring refreshments over to him so that he could still see and know what's going on. It looks like a regular home, but when you go in, you see that they have little apartments like about 30 studio apartments in that area. They keep it nice-looking on the outside. It's a welcoming atmosphere. They always have flowers like a home. A lot of times my father doesn't like to come out and he is not up, but they have breakfast ready in his room for him. I'm not sure if that's part of the deal, but they know him now and they do that for him."

"Brandywine Living at Brandall Estates is very lovely. It's a beautiful place and well cared for; however, their price was very high. The rooms were lovely. They were large. They had kitchenettes. The lobby was large, and they had staircases going up on two sides, which formed a balcony on that top floor and it was kept very well. I met the woman who was the activities director, and she was lovely. The people there seemed very, very happy. It was well-appointed. The girl who took me around was very knowledgeable. It was a lovely place, but it was more money than any other place. That was the drawback. I was very impressed. Several gentlemen were sitting outside, talking, laughing, and joking. That's why I went there on my own, because I saw this and I said, 'Gee, these people seem very happy here, let me go see what it's all about.' And yes, they have reason to be happy. It's a very lovely place. They had very caring staff."

"J C Plaza seemed really nice. The staff during my visit were nice. They were quick to answer. It was convenient, as it was right down the road from us. "

"A friend of mine was over at Villa Raffaella Assisted Living. She was at the assisted living and then she progressed to needing more care. The community was immaculate, it was very clean and very warm. The employees were just very caring. They always had a smile on their faces when they checked in on my friend. I would be there for 2 hours, maybe 3 at the most, and they would have checked in with her twice just to see everything. She also said the food was great. They had activities every morning and every afternoon. They also had mass and they did the rosary, so there was plenty to do. They even got to know me coming, they knew who I was going to visit, and there was always a big hello. Everything about it, to me, was very appealing. I said if I needed to go somewhere, that would be my first choice."

"New Standard Senior Living at Millville was new, so everything was in good shape. The facility was clean. The residents seemed well cared for. It wasn't as homey, so it was kind of sterile-looking, like there was very little artwork on the walls. It's just pretty basic. It was light and bright. I saw the staff member interacting with the residents. When we walked into the room, a lot of the residents waved. The staff waved back at them, like the residents obviously recognized her and saw her as a friend. They had an activities director, and they seemed to have a full calendar. They had three or four activities a day on their calendar. They had a gym and a hair salon. There weren't TVs in the common areas where they could watch TV together."

"I toured New Standard Senior Living at Egg Harbor Township. The facilities were brand new. Everything's clean and organized. The staff was very knowledgeable and ready to work hard to take care of your family member. They had workout facilities for anybody that needs rehab or anything like that. They had a pool table. They had one of those arcade basketball games to play with family members, which was cool. They had a cafeteria. The menu looked really good and very nutritional."

"The rehab I did at Millville Center wasn't much. They were supposed to rehab me for my right leg, but it was nothing more than getting your blood circulating. It wasn't helping me at all. They had a nurse practitioner there and she didn't respond well to my needs. Some of the staff also didn't respond to my needs, so I wouldn't recommend that place. My accommodation wasn't bad in that respect but I ended up being on long-term, and I had a roommate, and I didn't like that guy. They have an activity room where they had some guest musicians and arts and crafts activities."

"Baker Place was a very, very nice facility. I had an opportunity to tour a couple of rooms, and they were very, very good accommodations for my wife. I saw an activity there, and they were playing bingo. They had a lot of common areas like a big TV room and a couple of areas that had a television and a couple of sofas and chairs. They also had an activity room and a dining area. The dining area was very good. The staff said their capacity was like 47 tenants, so it's a lot smaller. I saw the courtyard from the room where a lady was at the time. The courtyard goes around but they're all connected, so it was very nice. I was impressed with the community. I talked to one staff member, and then as we were doing the tour, I met the director and three or four nurses that were right near the area of the bingo room. They seemed very friendly. What I liked the most was the people that I met and the cleanliness of the place. It was a step above, so that's the one I'm going to zero in on. It was very impressive."

"Our mother recently passed and I wanted to give an honest review of this facility. Our family is forever grateful to Seashore Gardens Living Center for the exceptional care they provided to our beloved mother during the final two years of her life. From the moment she arrived, we were struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the professionalism of the entire staff. The nurses, caregivers, and administrative team consistently went above and beyond to ensure our mother was not only well cared for, but genuinely comfortable and happy. While the food may not have been gourmet, it was nourishing and consistent, and more importantly, our mother was content and well-fed. We brought her snacks and treats as well when we came to visit. We highly recommend Seashore Gardens Living Center to any family seeking a nurturing, respectful, and supportive environment for their loved one. "We went to The Lodge at Historic Lewes. It was absolutely stunning. It was beautiful. They offered a lot. It was like a $20,000 buy-in, but your monthly was $10,000. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. The place was very, very nice. Everybody was wonderful, friendly, and very nice. They allowed dogs, and so we took our dog with us, and they went crazy over her. We didn't have a meal, but we had some snacks there. The sizes of the rooms was wonderful. I loved the patio. It was really, really nice, and it was big. They had a dog park, which I liked for my dog. It was beautiful and lovely."
