Rooms are nice. Staff is professional and caring. Communication was absolutely wonderful! My father did well here. He was here for over 2 months.

Rooms are OK, nothing special. Clean as long as you ask for clean sheets and linens when needed...otherwise you're probably not going to get them changed. Food is low grade quality. It's easy to tell that there is a cook in the kitchen and not a chef. I can't imagine that any of the owners would feed this " food " to their own mother or grandmother. Apparently 90% of the staff has somewhere more important to be other than in the patient's room helping the patient I feel like the slogan for most of the staff, including the aides and nurses should be.. " I'll be right back .....meaning, I'm not coming back. " I've lost time of how many times I've rang the call bell for something às simple as a urinal to pee in , or asked to have my diaper changed , or asked for meds and got the response, " I'll be right back " and have had to wait 2 to 5 hours before someone actually got around to fulfilling my request.

Was visiting my mother and not one time for 2-1/2 hours did a nurse come in. Patients all over were hacking away. Floor was sticky. Her dinner plate was there the entire time. There were ants all over the floor. There was absolutely no rehab to improve her motion or inability to swallow food properly. Nursing staff and patients were outside smoking with door propped open allowing smoke to billow thru cooridor. It was not at all like picture appearance wise and very untidy. Front desk was not at all friendly - more worried about COVID vaccine one day and not the other. Pretty much didn’t look at you when checking in to visit.

Make sure you check on your loved one. Short staffed, disgusting smell, feces on dining chairs and residents. Absolute nightmare.

My mother was on the subacute side of the building for about 3 1/2 weeks. The nurses were great. Some aides (one in particular) seemed to never work. The food was a little bland but if you bring you in any spices you like and it helps. The food would come to the room luke warm or cold, that's really the only thing I can say bad about this place. The social worker did great keeping me updated on Mom's progress and helped ordering equipment for home. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing rehab or long term care.

My husband is at Pelican Pointe Post Acute Nursing & Rehabilitation. So far, all the nurses and the CNAs have been wonderful, and the social worker has been nice. They're short-staffed, though, but I think everywhere is. They also have some activities and it's an enclosed area so they can walk outside if they choose. Some of the food looks good, some are OK. They've all been very, very kind and very good.

I like the fact that Pelican Pointe Post Acute Nursing and Rehabilitation is a smaller setting, not like a big hospital setting. There's only one wing for rehab, one wing for long term care, and one locked dementia wing. The long-term wing really had a bad odor. I would describe the staff that assisted me as very thorough, and she took her time explaining things to me. They seemed to have a good amount of amenities and they stop in to ask their clients in the mornings if they want to join in on the activities. They provide OT and PT. The location is in an area where I can take my sister to stores that are close by or to the beach.
