"My mother is at The Pines now for rehab, and it's excellent, very large, clean, and neat. However, I cannot afford it for my aunt and feel it's not suitable for her. The rehab rooms are very nice, big and well set up. For long term care, there's mostly two people per room, but they also have some smaller, private rooms. "

"My wife is in Bayleigh Chase, and it's very good. The care, the rooms, and the staff are excellent. The nurses are very kind. They have a dining room, a library, a workout room, music periodically, bingo, and all kinds of games. I haven't tried the food myself, but my wife says it's very good."

"Candle Light Cove was small and more personal than the big facilities, and the price was better than some of the others I've seen. I was very pleased with the knowledgeable staff. The rooms were small but neat and clean. The facility was very nice, well-kept, and newly renovated. I felt it had a good atmosphere for my aunt. "

"Overall, I was rather impressed with the facility. The staff seemed to genuinely care about their residents/patients, and the residents seemed relatively happy in their environment. The food that was provided to the residents was pretty decent, and there was a substantial amount of activities taking place in various areas of the facility. "

"Manor House was fine and probably where we’ll go because it is life care and we won’t need to go out of state. They told me they are having a fence put in. They do have security guards that walk the premises. It is an older facility. "

"My mother has been in Corsica Hills Center since December..we live in Delaware and although we wanted her closer to us, but we are glad that she is at Corsica. The care and service has been excellent, especially the nursing staff that are always there to take care of my mother's needs. The place is clean, smells clean and the staff is friendly as well as the communication from those in charge and us has been much appreciated....We definitely recommend Corsica."

"i like the place. It has a bit of a family feel to it. The food is not good enough or plentiful enough, and there are not enough activities (the patients can get really bored), but I think that is typical of the average nursing home in the US. I like the nurses and the aides. They are doing the best they can. "

"What I liked the best about Queenstown Landing was that it was clean. It's pretty new and the tour was well-presented. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room size was excellent. They had a salon, a library, and a courtyard. The least thing I liked about the place was the construction that they're starting to add on to the place. That's going to be a deterrent for the residents."

"White Wood is only six minutes from my house. It's a smaller facility with seven residents and six bedrooms. Mom used to be in a bigger facility, but she ran out of money. She's not really happy because there's nothing for her to do. Most of the people there are in wheelchairs, their heads slumped, and they sit all day. But my mom is still able to walk and do things. She said she wants to go back to the nursing home. But I can't do that, so I try to figure out a way to entertainment her and get her out as often as I can. She's not really doing good right now. She hasn't had a shower for 10 days. I'm not satisfied with this facility. I don't think they know how to handle a person who's alive. They should also find some time with the residents doing crafts, playing cards or something. "

"My grandfather was here and I would highly recommend them. One of the first things you notice when you walk in the door is it doesn't smell. In fact everytime I visited i always saw staff cleaning. They show real effort to make residents as happy as they can. They were always very accommodating . When I left i knew my grandfather was in good hands "

"Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge MD was superb facility. My Grandmother was a residence for 3 years and I visited her quite often. The thing that really blew me away about Chesapeake woods was the staff would always plan activities for the residence and made sure they socialized with each other. They had arts and crafts, outings to various events around town and they even had a Nintendo Wii in the common area. The food was also great, I would frequently take a plate home with me when I visited her. If I had to address a complaint about Chesapeake Woods is that when I visited her, it would always be so scorching hot in the halls and in her room, I could hardly take it. The residence never complained and they seemed comfortable but I with there was another area for visitations with a better temperature control. In my opinion, Chesapeake Woods should be the blueprint of what a nursing home should be. "
