"We toured Brookdale Dover and saw the very lovely lobby, sitting area, dining room, and bedroom. We met a number of the residents, and they all seemed happy. Everyone spoke to us pleasantly. The place was clean as a whistle. Everyone was very, very efficient, friendly, and answered all of our questions. It was a very pleasant visit. I found it very pleasant. If we don't find one closer, that's the one I'm going to have my sister go to. The lady went out of her way to check out if there was a specialty therapist in the area because that's what my sister is going to need. She did that so that she would have the answer for me when we went there for the tour. I think that was a special effort."

"Dover Place was excellent. They were just a little bit more expensive. It was gorgeous. It was my pick. I loved it there. It was very accommodating, and they have very entertaining things. The staff was very friendly. Everybody was very pleasant there, even the residents. They were so lovely. The common areas were beautiful, all nice and clean and very professional looking. They had a fish tank in there that was gorgeous. They had a cage of little finches right in the entryway. The residents watch the fish and the birds and all that, so it's good for them."

"Having to choose a place for a family member to live their final stage of life is one of the hardest decisions to make. I researched/visited many assisted living centers in Maryland. My criteria was: high staff/resident ratio, kind and compassionate caregivers and staff, doctor/nurse available, three meals and snacks, low resident/room ratio, activities, reasonable fees and being able to visit and/or contact the facility. Arcadia met every single criterion! The caregivers, the nursing staff and the owner (Donna) are compassionate and caring! The monthly menu is awesome and the daily activities are so much fun. We are able to visit whenever we want and Donna and her staff are always just a phone call away. Arcadia is “home” and I am very aware of how blessed we are to have them taking care of Mom. The staff members introduced themselves to us the other day when we were moving my mom's furniture in there, and they were very pleasant and very kind. It is beautiful, very clean, and very safe."

"My mother is at Country Rest Home. It's very nice and it looks like a country setting. The staff is fantastic. The owner and his son are very helpful, and they're always available. The inside of the facility is nice, but the outside is very beautiful. It looks like something an older person would enjoy. They're doing a very good job. I'm very satisfied."

"I was there for eight weeks recovering from a deadly bone infection. The medical staff were always right on top of my tests and progress, shared that information, and let me know next steps. The PT team was professional and helpful. I felt secure and supported while I recovered. Facility is nice and clean, and there was not a soul on staff, from the food ladies all the way up, who were not encouraging."

"I went to Bayleigh Chase. I was in a yarn needle group there and I visited people who were also in rehab there. The facilities are beautiful and they seem to care about the patients. There are a lot of activities for them. They were just very nice. They have a restaurant where the family can come with them when they visit. It was very nice. They have movies for them and take them on field trips within the community. The staff was very pleasant and tried to do their best for everybody, just very welcoming. I've had the chance to eat in their dining room. The food is good."

"Touring Candle Light Cove was a great experience. It's a nice setting. Financially, it was going to be hard to be able to maintain that one, but the experience of visiting it was wonderful. The staff was great. They took their time with us. They sat down and explained everything. I think it would be a great place for my dad if we were able to sustain it financially. They took us back into the area where, if he were to join them, he might stay. They were friendly. The facility was clean. The residents seemed to be happy and interacting with each other. We had a good feeling walking into that particular establishment. The lady who gave the tour was extremely nice and very informative. The follow-up was great. It's very well kept outside and inside, and extremely clean. It's well put together."

"My parents have lived at Heartfields in Easton for a year now. Our family has been very happy with the care they are given. Mom now participates in many of the activities offered, thank to Jan, the best activities director in town! Dad even participates now too!! The nurses are very attentive and more importantly, excellent at communicating when we have questions about our parents. The building is always decorated in keeping with the seasons or occasions of the year making it feel very festive for residents and visitors alike. I would highly recommend Heartfields in Easton to anyone having to make a decision for someone(s) who need additional care and assistance with their daily living."
