"We have my husband in Bowie Assisted Living since July 1st. It’s very small -- they only have 11 patients -- so they get individual care. The staff is very nice and pleasant. They fix all the food from scratch, so it’s all lovely, and the rooms are very bright and cheerful. "

"Holy Hills Assisted Living was well organized, efficient, and very professional. They had activities, but I didn't see any going on at the time that I was there. They had three bedrooms, and they were nice. I didn't see many amenities. I guess you could play cards in one of their rooms, but no one was playing any games. The dining area was nice. They keep the place clean. If you were a senior, you didn't have to worry about steps. They just thought through their approach to accommodating assisted living residents. The lighting was great, and it was a great community."

"The staff and the sales manager of Brookdale Woodward Estates were professional, warm, friendly, and caring. I felt like the rooms were comfy. They were a good size. I would like it for my parents. It was big enough. So they could have a living area or if they wanted to have two separate rooms and not have a living area, they could have done that. You could come in and have couches and stuff. I thought it was perfect. The location was perfect, too. I met the chef and said that the seniors picked the vegetables that they had grown and cooked their food. I thought that was interactive and neat. I liked that. You could do your physical therapy in your room or you could come down to a little weight room. They had an area where I saw people sitting and watching TV and it seemed like they liked each other. They weren't stuck in their room and I thought that was a good sign in terms of the ability for them to interact with other people. They also have an arts and crafts room. The other thing that I liked about this place was if you're able to walk, the senior center was right there. You can walk to it. If you can't walk, they have a bus for you to use. If you live in the city proper, then your loved one can get on the bus and come to your house."

"I moved Mom into New Horizon Assisted Living. They had availability, it was a small facility, and so I knew she would get individual attention, plus I already knew somebody who was a resident. The staff is very caring and very attentive. She is eating better and her appetite is so much better. They have some activities, but I'm not sure if she is able to participate in those activities. I like the fact that she has her own room, and they provide privacy. She has a television in her room."

"My dad is currently in New Horizon Assisted Living LLC. It has an open space, and there's more room for the residents to walk around. It's a small community, and it is clean. The staff there doesn't tell me too much. The place is clean and everything is spaced out. It has wooden floors, and it's easier for them to move around. They have a dining area and a little courtyard where the residents can go out and sit."

"We put my cousin in here. They have a full-time activities director and nurses that did the medicine management. They have exercise, trips, and singing. There is a place, a little snack area, where the residents can go if they want something. They have a salon and an activities room, and there is a courtyard garden with a fountain in addition to nice outdoor furniture outside. They have little sitting areas throughout the building where you can sit and visit, or sometimes the residents will sit and chitchat or watch television. Everybody has been very friendly and helpful. They’re pretty responsive. We have been very happy, and my cousin seems to be happy. "

"Beulah Spring Assisted Living LLC had a very homey atmosphere and I felt like I would be leaving my mother in a home environment. It was clean and colorful. I liked that the place was small, so she could have individual-type care. I didn't see any extra thrill about the place and it was priced a little higher than what I had anticipated. I only met with the owner, and I thought that the information she provided was wonderful. She was very open in explaining everything. I saw 2 residents and they were engaged in some type of game at a table. And then they did have 2 other nurse assistants right there with them. I did like the open areas that they had for families to come visit."

"Access Care was an answer to my prayer. I am so thankful for this assistive living facility. Loretta, the owner of the home, and Rose, who works in the home, give nothing short of excellent service all around. The staff truly cares about the residents. My mother, who is 97, moved into this home March, 2020, the beginning of COVID 19. They were successful with keeping everyone free of the virus. Questions and request are answered and addressed quickly and the environment is clean and safe. The lines of communication are always open. I would absolutely recommend this facility."
