I cared for my father at home for five years before his health needs became more than I could manage. After touring several facilities in Bowie, nothing felt right—until I found Bowie Assisted Living (12001 Lanham Severn Road, Bowie, MD). From day one, the staff treated my dad like family, showing genuine compassion and care. He received daily showers, three daily home-cooked meals, and plenty of activities like Bingo, singing, and group exercises. The staff checked on him regularly, even overnight, and allowed personal touches like his recliner and a bird feeder outside his window. When his health declined, they worked seamlessly with hospice to ensure his comfort and dignity. The facility is warm, welcoming, and far from the sterile feel of many others I visited. Every staff member went above and beyond, and it gave me tremendous peace of mind knowing my dad was so well cared for. If you’re looking for a place that truly treats residents like family, Bowie Assisted Living is it. Five stars all the way.

I can't say enough good things about Bowie Assisted Living. The staff truly provides exceptional care for residents. From day one I was impressed by how they provided care for my mother that suffers from Dementia. They have a warm, welcoming environment and the personalized attention each resident receives is great. My mother is treated with dignity and compassion. They have various activities for the residents such as, physical therapy, dancing, bingo, and card games. They make sure their residents feel safe and valued every day. The facility is clean and thoughtfully designed for those with physical and cognitive impairments. The social interactions have made a tremendous difference in my mother's mood and overall, well-being. Staff is always available to answer any questions or concerns.

Bowie Assisted Living, Inc. caught my eye when I was looking for places for my father. It had everything that suited his needs. It was a single-floor building with dedicated staff. The meals were cooked on-site every day, and they offered physical therapy and other activities. It was a very intimate community.

Bowie is the best. My mother's personality has totally changed for the better since being there. The food is excellent too. It is all hand cooking right there in their kitchen. My mother's room is always very clean. Bowie Assisted Living is for the more dependent residents and not for someone who is looking for a lot of activities. This is more about a place that is very comfortable. They have enough activities for the type of residents they have. It is not for the active person, but the care is excellent. It is very loving and nurturing. The staff members are very attentive.

We have my husband in Bowie Assisted Living since July 1st. It’s very small -- they only have 11 patients -- so they get individual care. The staff is very nice and pleasant. They fix all the food from scratch, so it’s all lovely, and the rooms are very bright and cheerful.
