"Holy Hills Assisted Living was well organized, efficient, and very professional. They had activities, but I didn't see any going on at the time that I was there. They had three bedrooms, and they were nice. I didn't see many amenities. I guess you could play cards in one of their rooms, but no one was playing any games. The dining area was nice. They keep the place clean. If you were a senior, you didn't have to worry about steps. They just thought through their approach to accommodating assisted living residents. The lighting was great, and it was a great community."

"I toured Russell Residence. The lady was informative, helpful, and very good, and it was a nice house. It has a TV, a single bed, a closet, and a dresser. Some of it was private and some of it was semi-private, a nice room. I didn't smell urine. It's very clean."

"Angel Assisted Living, LLC seemed like a nice house. Their room was nice. There was a bathroom off of the room. The residents looked happy. It seemed like there were a lot of nurses and people working there. I didn't have anything negative to say about that place. I liked it. The people there were nice. When I spoke to Angel, she was pleasant and answered questions that I had. The residents were very talkative to me, which means they were happy. They were very pleasant residents. Their dining area had a large kitchen with big tables for eight and chairs all around it."

"My dad is currently in New Horizon Assisted Living LLC. It has an open space, and there's more room for the residents to walk around. It's a small community, and it is clean. The staff there doesn't tell me too much. The place is clean and everything is spaced out. It has wooden floors, and it's easier for them to move around. They have a dining area and a little courtyard where the residents can go out and sit."

"My sister-in-law moved into Brookdale Woodward Estates. I like everything about it. I like how they have it divided up and how attentive they are to everyone. They make the atmosphere very conducive. My sister-in-law loves it completely. They were able to place her around some women that have the same personality. They even got her a good book by this famous author that she loves. After I saw their facilities and the attention that they gave and that she would be around people, I just loved it. The first day that we were there to introduce my sister-in-law so she could pick out a room, we had an ice cream sandwich, and she just raved about it. That won her heart right off, no matter what. But as far as their food, I've seen them at the dining hall, very elegant with the linen tablecloths and the napkins. And she seems to be really up about choosing what she's going to eat the next day."

"I saw New Horizon Assisted Living in Overbrook Lane. Most of the people were sharing a room; they have no private rooms. The staff was very friendly, they were there all the time, they lived on the premises. The amenities are kind of limited. It was very clean. It's not far from restaurants and hospitals."

"My sister stayed at Caring Hearts & Hands ALF for respite. She enjoyed being there and she was comfortable. We only met the lady that runs and owns the place. We saw one of the meals that she was preparing and it looked very appetizing. My sister said she ate very well while she was there. When I picked her up, she was in good shape. She was happy there."
