"My experience at Autumn Lake Waugh Chapel was mostly a very positive one. I was fortunately not there under Covid isolation. There were a few minor hiccups when first came to the facility but they were able to get fixed with the assistance of Guest Services. My rehab team was great!! I have to give them a huge shout out for all of their help. My GNAs/Nurses were very good; again after a few hiccups when I first came. I had to go back out to the hospital but I chose to come back to the facility because of the great care that the staff provided to me. I would recommend this place to anyone."

"When my mother left the hospital, she went to Knollwood. Good service. But the building itself was raggedy, and they were trying to update a lot, which was a good thing, but the service was very good. Everybody was on their game; everybody was very good. So this was a very good place. I liked their location; it was really nice where they were. If they had to go anywhere to shop or anything like that, they could go with no problem. She had a roommate there, so you had two people sharing a room, and yet it was kind of nice-sized for two people. "

"The physical therapy was very good in Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center. The security was excellent. You don't get in and out of any door in that place without somebody entering you. They had electronic doors. My friend passed in Heritage, and they were just so kind and so compassionate. They didn't treat you like a piece of furniture. They treated the family really nicely. "

"My mom is staying at Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She's in an individual room, which is what she wanted, it's large, and has a nice window with a nice view. The staffing is good, but we had a little issue earlier about her follow up rehabilitation. When she first went in there, she didn't get any further rehabilitation after she was transferred to the private room that we got for her, which I thought, "Something's wrong." She digressed, and she wound up having to go back into the hospital. When she came back into Fairfield, they went through 14 days of rehabilitation and quarantine, and I told the front desk, her social worker, and the administration, that I felt that they should have continued on with her rehabilitation, because we don't want her to regress again. She's 99 years old, but her mind is sharp, it's just her body is starting to give out. She got a bad hip and a bad knee, and I wanted more follow up from the tests and everything that was done to her when she was in the hospital, and they have done that. This is the first week that she had rehab, and being back in her room, and she's now getting further rehab on her legs and her hip. She's very pleased with it, but she has always been pleased with the level of service that she has been getting there. The activities are limited because of COVID, but she's actually going down to the gym, and working out for an hour. There are some residents down there at the same time, and she likes that she's getting exposed to other people. They have a big rec room, small meeting rooms, a library, and a large dining area, but none of that is used right now because of COVID. The food is excellent. My mother is a true entrepreneur as far as food goes, and she's always been a fantastic cook. She doesn't mind telling you that you're doing it wrong, and she's very pleased with the quality and the quantity of food they have. I have never been there actually, and I am just going by what she tells me, and according to her, her living atmosphere is fine. She got a big nice room with a nice table, and it's facing east, so she gets the morning sun, and she loves that. It's adequate, and she can sit there and read her paper or books. It's expensive to be there, but they're taking care of her."

"Crescent Cities Center was good. They have a doctor for any customer who has Kaiser Permanente. They even have an office in there to coordinate their care. It was good. They had very nice and beautiful staff there. They were kind and very astute, taking care to explain everything fully. I felt relaxed, and there was a peaceful environment. It was an old hospital, so it was very big. The therapeutic area was good, and they had a lot of good equipment. "

"My brother is in Forestville Healthcare Center. I have mixed reviews about them. I feel like it could be better aesthetically, first of all, and just a little more attentive to the patients. There's nothing lively about the room. There are no pictures. We bring pictures of the family, but the walls are just dull. There's nothing to stimulate the senses. They have a community room. They had a room that family could go and gather and celebrate my brother's birthday, and that was nice."

"I am currently at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Cherry Lane for rehabilitation. It's been really good and I have very few issues. They're very intuitive and professional. So, everything's working out OK. The food is pretty good, especially lunch and dinner. They have different activities here. They play trivia games, they have music therapy, and they do a thing about current events. They have transportation to doctors' appointments. All the different members of the staff have come to check on me to see how I'm doing. The management is constantly trying to make sure that everything is going OK for me, and I like that."

"My mother did well at Deanwood Rehab & Wellness Center. They had her do physical therapy. Every time I came, they were working with her, and the therapist was really good to her. The room was clean. She was complaining about her roommate, but other than that everything was really good. The nurses made sure she took her medicines, and I told them if anything happened, call me no matter what time it was. One time at 1:00 in the morning they called me when she tried to get out of bed. "

"South River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center serves as a nursing home, assisted living facility, and Hospice home for the terminally ill. The reason for my visits were to visit my aunt as she was battling cancer. She needed around the clock nurses to help her attempt to beat the illness and unfortunately her family could not provide that at the time. One of the reasons I put this nursing home in such high regards is the fact that they accepted her into the program even though financially we were all incapable of covering the costs. They actually cared to see her make improvements, it was not just about money to them, and that meant a lot to us all. The grounds are beautiful both inside and out, with a colorful and inviting garden in the front that makes visitors and patients feel welcome. Instead of looking like a medical facility, it looks more like a large house that has been very well cared for. They even have a sizable deck on the back of the house with a grill, patio furniture, and garden waterfall. The landscaping was clearly designed with the intentions of providing a quiet, peaceful place for the patients to heal. They allowed her to have her own room, which was quite large and had full cable t.v., a large window, and seating for her guests. The nurses took impeccable care of her; even when she was not able to bathe herself any longer they made sure she maintained her hygiene regularly. Because of an intestinal blockage caused by the cancer and lack of appetite, there were times when she couldn't/wouldn't eat food. Her nurse would make numerous attempts at finding small things she could digest and would enjoy just to make her comfortable. They even allowed us to throw her a small birthday party, giving us full access to the back deck, kitchen, and common living room. Her nurse even bought her a few small nicknacks to liven up her room, and surprised her with circus peanuts, which has always been her favorite candy. They provided her with top notch care, and they fought for her recovery just as hard as the people who were her own blood. When finally came time for her to be with God, they made it a point to contact the family, offered her religious rites of passage, and consoled those of us who just couldn't bear to see another loved one pass. It was a wonderful facility, and even though I hope to never have reason to see another loved one need nursing assistance, if it happens, I hope that South River Health will be there just as they were for my Aunt. "

"Sacred Heart Nursing Home has been an excellent place for my 93-year-old mother. Sister Anna was very professional and compassionate during the entire process of getting Mom admitted. The facility is well run, clean and hospitable, and all of the employees are competent and personable. They have gotten to know Mom's children and grandchildren over the past year, and communicate with us comfortably. We are blessed to have found this facility for Mom. She enjoys being there, which gives us peace of mind. Thank you to the staff! "
