My mother in law has been here many times.Staff was excellent with her dialysis treatment and needs. The facility was clean, food was ok (not as good as home cooked),when we called the facility for info,if the person was not available they would call back in a timely manner. I would greatly recommend this facility for a ease of mind knowing your loved one is being properly treated. Remember with this Covid/Omicron.Everywhere you go will not be up to standards and expectations we are use too.If your family is in need of rehabilitation. This is the place to be.

This facility is chronically understaffed including administrative and clinical personnel. Many language barriers between patients & caregivers or if you're trying to get information by phone. The food service is substandard. Covid rules seem to change daily. Very slow response to dads requests for help due to understaffing.

Most staff is friendly, physical care is great but they could do a better job with mental health. My loved one was locked indoors for months due to Covid. Now she is getting outdoors 3 times a week but we still can’t see her. We have recently started doing Zoom calls once a week and that, with her times outdoors, seem to be helping her a lot. They are doing a great job at keeping Covid away.

many old, dated. windows do not open and close. rooms too small. Staff many, many had poor communication skills, hard to understand, if you could get one to speak with you. You had to ask over and over again for a needed rx, blanket, h20. You had be ready for a LONG WAIT for someone to come to your aid. Activities, not much. Amenities? You make things look good as a visitor. But .. you better have a family member or advocate look out for you. Very SAD!!

Rooms are not kept clean. Urine on floor on front of toilets. Tracking urine everywhere. Horrendous smells and residents crying out for help. Call buttons laying on floors resident unable to reach (on purpose?) No customisation of meals. Or assistance with feeding. Residents left in Lift-swings. Was present when Mother's roommate died WHILE WE WERE IN THE ROOM VISITING! Body left in room w/my mother for hours, while dead roommates family traveled from out-of-state. Do not EVER place any one you love here. Mom went in with full set of natural teeth, except for a few, all her teeth broke off at the gum-line from lack of dental care. Horrible place.

I have called Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center on 4 occasions. Each time, I could not get anyone on the weekends who knew my parent (who was a resident). During the week, on 2 occasions, I could not get anyone who knew who was the Nursing Home Administrator. Being very concerned by this, I asked how this is possible, and on each occasions I was scolded, and that would be the right word, and then hung up on. I am not a testy individual, and I find the behavior I received to be very concerning. I find that the facility nurses who I spoke to, admissions counselor, and our social workers, just confidently rude. I asked specifically for nurses (not CNA's) on the weekends since no admin was in on the weekends, but still could not get a DON or ADON, and whomever I spoke to did not know them either. I just do not know Not knowing who is your leadership is concerning. Then, not knowing who my parents is, and I do think they found her in their system, but they seemed just bothered, not busy really, but just not wanting to do their job. It was like getting a quick response that had noting to do with me, nor even my questions per se. Those I spoke to just did not care, and that caused me greaat grief. That is the biggest problem, and when someone who does not care, and somehow that can persist.

My father was recently a patient at Heritage Harbor and was there for 4 weeks. He started off in a shared room which was quite cramped, as he was in the side closer to the door. We requested a private, and after 5 days they moved him to his own room, so that was much nicer and well equipped. The staff was very responsive when we asked for things like a different mattress, a recliner chair, etc. Even if they couldn't help out right away, they responded quickly. The care from the nurses and aides was generally good, although a little spotty. In general I have found that if a patient has an advocate with them, things go a lot better. My dad said he thought that everyone was a lot more helpful if I was there with him. I think for the most part everyone there really tried to make my dad comfortable and accommodate his requests. Also, as he regained his strength and didn't need as much help, things seemed to go a lot better. Overall though, I was impressed by the PT, OT and speech therapists- they are all excellent. Also the two administrators were very caring and attentive. Every time I saw them they chatted with me about my dad and asked how he was doing. The dietitian tried really hard to accommodate my dad's needs, but the kitchen didn't seem to back her up very well. Overall I would say that the care exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Heritage Harbor to anyone needing a rehab.

Having Cerebral Palsy myself the bulk of my thirty year career has been assisting people with disabilities who wanted to leave nursing homes to live in their own home. Some would call me an advocate against nursing homes. That said, after having pneumonia and was in ICU for six weeks, I needed to go into a nursing home for rehabilitation. Based on knowledge of several places I chose Heritage Harbor, and was totally satisfied with my three week stay. The head doctor while mainly treating the elderly made all efforts to understand my needs with Cerebral Palsy. The 7-3 and 3-11 nursing staff was phenomenal, and I was confident in the care I received. My one complaint was the poor quality of care from the 11-7 shift, even from RN'S. Again, my experience at Heritage Harbor was positive. Edward Willard

While there are people at this facility that are professional, the level of hands on care leaves a lot to be desired. Under staffed and some arrogant care givers makes this a facility I would be leary of if you loved one needs special care. Be vigilant. My loved one passed away at this facility and not ONE person contacted our family especially the individual nurse who was attending at the time of the incident that proceeded her death. I was disappointed with her overall care and would not recommend as doctors and nurses do not really coordinate their efforts in the best interest of the patient.

When my mother had a health crisis and needed round the clock care, she was no longer able to remain in her home with a visiting aide. She moved into HHHR and we have all been very satisfied with this facility. She gets all the medical attention she needs, with RNS on duty, either a PA or MD daily, and specialists are brought in as needed, usually on weekends. Her TV has a good picture and a remote paddle that she uses to hear it as well as call for assistance. The food is better than other facilities she's been in before, and the dietitian worked with her to eliminate the foods she can't eat or doesn't like. Her window view keeps her connected with the changing seasons. It's not cheap, but it would cost more to keep her at home at this point and we wouldn't have the medical staff at hand. I'm so happy she has been able to remain in her community where friends and family are accessible and she is getting such good care.

The physical therapy was very good in Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center. The security was excellent. You don't get in and out of any door in that place without somebody entering you. They had electronic doors. My friend passed in Heritage, and they were just so kind and so compassionate. They didn't treat you like a piece of furniture. They treated the family really nicely.
