"Sunrise of Annapolis was absolutely beautiful. People were lovely and you couldn't ask for anything more in an assisted living. It was just very expensive. That's the only drawback. They have a barber/hair salon, activities, games, and a nice dining room."

"It had larger facilities and larger living spaces to include private apartments. It certainly looked friendly enough. It was more like an apartment building with the facilities downstairs to go eat and to shop and things like that. So it was advantageous to be in a larger place because they had more facilities and more capabilities. The rooms were very nice. It looked like you could be quite comfortable there. My father is wheelchair-bound, so he's not involved in doing a lot of social activities. I did notice that they had some sort of fitness class. "

"My sister stayed at Caring Hearts & Hands ALF for respite. She enjoyed being there and she was comfortable. We only met the lady that runs and owns the place. We saw one of the meals that she was preparing and it looked very appetizing. My sister said she ate very well while she was there. When I picked her up, she was in good shape. She was happy there."

"I visited the New Horizon Assisted Living LLC in Bowie for my friend. We are choosing it for him because it's close, literally 10 minutes away from me, and it's nice. The community is also smaller than the facility where he is now. There are not as many residents. The capacity, I believe, is five or six, and I like the care. I had a chance to meet the owner and speak with the person who takes care of the patients. I asked a lot of questions, and I just thought the setting would be perfect or a better fit for my friend. The place was well-maintained, super clean, and everything was in its place. The in-home person who takes care of the patients went through her daily routine with the residents. She went over the time of the meals and the type of meals that they prepare. She also asked me questions about my friend's mobility and his cognitive abilities. She asked me multiple questions that I was happy about, because there were a few questions that I would not have thought to mention to her. She informed me that there is an alternate person who comes in on the weekends. She pretty much let me know what goes on in the house and what does not, in terms of recognizing certain events and holidays that they do not celebrate. It's just something that they don't do, but the families are still welcome to celebrate with their family members there, if we choose to."

"We chose Spring Arbor of Crofton because they have the services that we need, a very comfortable atmosphere, and friendly people. During the tour, we were accommodated by 3 different people and they were great; they were nice. They didn't invite me for lunch but the chef gave me a treat."

"My daughter's dad moved into AB Residence Assisted Living. His room is perfect because he was able to take his chair when he was sitting there every day. He had that big chair with the remote that could lift you up and put you down, which sat in his room along with the furniture they had in there. So, he's happy. It was nice and clean. It didn't have any odor, and the outside was nice and clean. It had a ramp for him because he's in a wheelchair, so he can go to dialysis. It was nice and safe. He said the food is good because when he was at my daughter's house he kept having us order him food out. So, he hasn't been ordering any food. He's been eating his food. He said it's cooked really good. The staff is good because they get him to shower every day. We couldn't get him to clean himself. So, when he was with us at home, he would not wash. So, since he's been here, they've been getting him in the shower, and he's been showering every day. He's nice and clean. He doesn't participate in activities, but they have a family room where activities take place. I thought it was a good value because everywhere else I went we couldn't afford it."

"It was great. The staff was very informative and answered my questions. The community is beautiful, bright, clean, and brand new. A lot of residents were out and active. One time, we were there for happy hour, and then we were there for bingo. It was beautiful. Their dining area is large, bright, and clean."

"I saw New Horizon Assisted Living in Overbrook Lane. Most of the people were sharing a room; they have no private rooms. The staff was very friendly, they were there all the time, they lived on the premises. The amenities are kind of limited. It was very clean. It's not far from restaurants and hospitals."

"In March of 2020 we moved my grandmother into this facility, and I have nothing but good things to say. When finding an aging in place home for my grandmother, we wanted nothing but the best, and this is it. Ms. Loretta, the owner in the home is amazing with care and communication, and Ms. Rose, who is a worker in the home, is an amazing caregiver and is very attentive to the residents. The home is always clean and safe, and they make sure to make thier residents and guest feel safe and welcomed. I would recommend this facility to everyone!"

"Holy Hills Assisted Living was clean and bright. It was a smaller home, which is what I was looking for. There was a lot of sunlight coming into it. Everyone was friendly and very knowledgeable. I was able to get a folder full of information to bring home with me to review. Their dining area was spacious and clean. They offer activities. From the time I called, I was able to get in very quickly to see their property, so that was a plus."
