"I went to look at The Hamlet at Queenstown. The facility was well-run. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The amenities and the facilities were very nice. If my mom only needed assisted living, it's a nice place. The kitchen was very clean. Nobody was expecting me to come, but the facility was extremely clean."

"We toured Harmony at Enterprise. It's very quiet and clean. Nakia was extremely helpful, outgoing, friendly, and knowledgeable about the independent living system. The dining area was very nice, restaurant-style, and the facility was like a cross between a hotel and a resort."

"Resilient Care Assisted Living was very clean and very organized. They had the menu up of what they would feed the residents. The staff was very nice, very pleasant, and very welcoming. The manager owner herself is a registered nurse. She and her husband own it together. They also have another manager on staff, who's also a registered nurse and I like that fact, and the fact that they want to be involved and they want to know all the information. They keep you involved. I met other residents and they seemed very pleasant. They seemed like they loved being there. They call their place home. If one of the residents can go and come as he pleases, he just has to be back in by a certain time, just let them know where he's going. I like the fact that they keep track of everybody and they let you know everything that's going on. They encourage families to always come and visit. It was very clean. They had ramps throughout. The few little steps they had, they had a chair lift for those steps to be able to get residents up and down the steps. The staff showed me the bathroom areas, and they were very clean and sanitized. She had sanitization products all around to keep the property nice, clean, and sanitized."

"I like that Golden Shield Ark Assisted Living Facility is small and family-owned and it's close to my grandfather. I don't know if there's anything that I like the least. The staff was very knowledgeable. I believe two of them are RNs, and I forgot what the certification is for the other aide. It was very clean. It's a small homelike atmosphere. It's very similar to my grandmother's house, so it was great. The dining area was fine. The size of the room was great and the layout was nice. They will allow us to bring a hospital bed and it has enough room for a Hoyer lift. There were probably two or three people that could sit in the room with her. It was great."

"I went to look at Edens Homes. The people I met were friendly. They answered all my questions. The facility was clean. All the rooms were nice. They had walk-in showers. The staff member who took me around was friendly, very informative, and approachable. They serve two meals and a snack. They had a nurse who would come in once a month. They put small refrigerators in the room. They have transportation."

"I toured The Lewis Apartments. The location and the whole complex were very nice. It's a relatively new senior living facility. It was clean and quiet. The people I encountered were nice. I walked into the office and the apartments, and the residents greeted me. They were sitting in the lobby area. The manager greeted me, gave me the information about the apartment, and showed me the apartment. It didn't take long, but it was a nice, pleasant experience. They had general appliances, stainless steel. I preferred a gas stove, but they only had electric stoves."

"I was nervous about finding a place for my mother, but when I found this one, I was so glad I did ! . Not only was my mother well cared for here, but the staff and owner of the facility made me feel very welcome . They were also very helpful in keeping me updated on my mom, who I visited frequently and who was in wonderful hands. They host alot of activities , game nights and they even go out some time to keep the residents busy . If you're looking for a place to call home for a member of your family, I would absolutely recommend this location. Thank you Mrs.Kim !!"

"I'm on a waiting list for the Waterfalls of Catonsville. They're redoing a wing of the building. They were very welcoming and I like that it's more of a home feel of an environment. That's what a place where my mom used to live was like. It's a smaller facility and they only have a limited number of residents, so they can get more care. There were always people with the residents. Even if they were in their bedroom or if they were in the common areas, there was always someone with them. The facility was nice and clean and all the people were clean. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The room was more like a small bedroom with a bed and a dresser. The room wasn't as large, but the common spaces were large. They were doing art when I was there. They had a courtyard and they do activities in the dining room when it's not dining time. It's more like a multipurpose room. It used to be an old mansion that they've turned into housing. There are no long walks. They back up to parks, so they can walk in the park. They back up to a wooded area. They had their own chef."

"I like The Belnor Senior Residences very much. I like the amenities, the property highlights, and even the units. The kitchen was open and spacious. I like the floor plan, but they don't have enough closet space. The other features as far as the property is concerned, the laundry space and the fact that they have a community garden and greenhouse, I liked everything about it, even the reserved parking for the residents to make sure that we have enough parking. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The tour was very thorough. My questions were answered because there were just two features that I was interested in: the kitchen and the closets. You have to prepare your own meals."

"My dad moved into Evergreens at Columbia Town Center. The facility is very well kept up. There are some younger, older people. Everyone's very friendly. There are lots of good common spaces and activities. There's a pool, a hot tub, and grounds outside for you to sit and hang out. There's also a grill, so there are things to do when people come to visit. The staff is fantastic so far. They are very responsive. There is no dining area. The community organized bingo nights. They have music, movies, and water aerobics. It was very reasonably priced. The other thing that's worth noting is that it's right in Columbia Town Center, so there's a lot of good stuff nearby and attractions."

Our staff participate in monthly training given by the nurse practitioner to ensure resident comfort and care. In addition to our janitorial staff, Open Hand's uses germicidal lamps to sterilize our facility, to combat germs. The meals at Open Hand's are made in-house to perfection, with nutrition in mind. For our bed-bound residents, we are under contract with doctors, nurse practitioners, and even nail techs to upkeep our residents. "This facility is exceptionall! The staff works VERY close with us to ensure mom's care needs are handled. She wasn't very active, and veryy reluctant to transition into a facility. Now she's become a social butterfly! The place is beautiful, bright and ALWAYS CLEAN! Activities are always coordinated for Mom. The Nurses and therapist are very sweet. After 2 years, I'm happy to say we've made the right choice! "
