I visited this facility

I'm on a waiting list for the Waterfalls of Catonsville. They're redoing a wing of the building. They were very welcoming and I like that it's more of a home feel of an environment. That's what a place where my mom used to live was like. It's a smaller facility and they only have a limited number of residents, so they can get more care. There were always people with the residents. Even if they were in their bedroom or if they were in the common areas, there was always someone with them. The facility was nice and clean and all the people were clean. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The room was more like a small bedroom with a bed and a dresser. The room wasn't as large, but the common spaces were large. They were doing art when I was there. They had a courtyard and they do activities in the dining room when it's not dining time. It's more like a multipurpose room. It used to be an old mansion that they've turned into housing. There are no long walks. They back up to parks, so they can walk in the park. They back up to a wooded area. They had their own chef.

Provider Response

Thank you for your kind words, and we are so glad that you enjoyed visiting us here. We look forward to working with your family and for the opportunity to care for your loved one in the near future. We are delighted to be located right next door to The Catonsville Senior Center Park and appreciate the details you shared regarding the history of the property. For those of you who are reading this review, the larger building on the property directly in front of our facility was the home of a Catonsville doctor who had it built in 1911 as his practice and manor, which our owner bought and rebuilt in 1997 as a 15-bed assisted-living facility, originally called 'Parkside' assisted living and now known as 'Rolling Meadows'. The current facility we own, and where we live on-site, started as the original carriage home also built in 1911, which was used to house the good doctor's horses and buggy that he used to make house calls in Catonsville and the surrounding areas. Our owner expanded and converted the historic carriage home into an 11,000 sq. ft. family home. In 2017, we reopened as a family-owned memory care home while still preserving the historic original features of the carriage home. We are especially grateful to share these original features with everyone here, in addition to families visiting for tours for their loved ones. Our owner and family members live and work on-site which is part of what makes this place unique.

I visited this facility

The Waterfalls of Catonsville was pretty clean. It was a big house that they converted. Their staff was nice. I think you have to bring your own appliances. They have a shared kitchen and shared shower too. The staff who gave us the tour, was friendly and nice. They have a lot of outdoor space, a gazebo, a patio, and a big grassy area. The location is good because they are next door to a senior center. The rooms look almost like a hotel without a shared shower.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I must say Waterfalls is a wonderful memory care facility. The management and staff go above and beyond to make your loved one feel as comfortable as possible. The rooms are always kept nice, the residents are clean, the food is delicious and the facility is beautiful inside and out!

I visited this facility

I toured The Waterfalls of Catonsville. It was a very good experience. The facility is beautiful. The staff who walked me through were extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. It's a historic home that has been converted. The rooms are individual with common bathrooms, and then some shared living spaces. I would give it a very high rating for someone who needs a very structured memory care facility. It's a convenient location.

Waterfalls of Catonsville is our Dad’s home and has been since July 2019. It is a small and cozy community in a beautiful wooded area of Catonsville, Md. The owner, his family and all of the folks who work there are kind and caring and do anything they can to help our Dad. If you are searching for an assisted living home, check it out! You will not be disappointed. Individual rooms and you can bring things from home. All food is homemade and all residents come to meals and share the table and meal together. Dad is happy here!
