"This is my third stay at Summit Park. I continue to come here because it's clean and everyone is nice."

"Very nice premises. Ample facilities on-site, from banks to hair salons. Seemed very clean, staff also seemed very friendly. The facility is very large and has ample parking. They have a lot of activities for seniors, and residents seem to be very happy at the facility.Management mentioned that they were nearing capacity. The initiation fees to move in are VERY expensive -- definitely out of most peoples' price range. They seemed a bit pushy about signing up.The rooms were large and amply furnished. Overall I would rate it positively.In the end, we ended up looking elsewhere for my aunt. It was a bit too far south of Baltimore for us, and family would be visiting regularly. It also seemed very expensive compared to comparable facilities, although the friendliness and courtesy of the staff may make up for that.For those south of Baltimore, however, it is conveniently located near I95. Easy to get to, wooded around the facility. Excellent views for residents. "

"My brother was there about 2 months ago on A wing all the staff that worked with him were very polite. I felt like he was in a good place just because the unit manager Yolanda felt like she cared about my brother. I would recommend this place "

"My mom is at Forest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. It's a nursing home facility and we chose that because they have a memory care unit, which was our top priority. They seemed to be very welcoming. The staff is very nice, caring, and compassionate. Mom is in a shared room with two beds, two TVs (so both residents can watch what they want), and a Jack and Jill bathroom. They do lots of activities and things that interest my mom and keep everybody involved and socialized. There's bingo, music appreciation, and a nail/spa day where they paint the residents' nails and stuff. It's a little outdated but it's clean."

"Frederick Villa Nursing has a very kind atmosphere. But, depending on the stations patients were set in, it defined the state in which their situation continued. I remember the third station, farthest from the entrance, had residents with a very lackadaisical idea of the workplace. I came to them for a friend who had, had an allergic reaction(minor of course) and they just stared without a response. I put a random complaint in when I heard a few of the residents in this station discussing an accident where a patient fell. This caused the patient to have to redo most of their rehabilitating courses all over again. The resident responsible was apparently just "vacant and looking everywhere but the patient in need".On the other hand, the first station closest to the entrance had impeccable residents who worked swiftly and efficiently. These were the residents we went to whenever we had a question needing an answer or an avenue for quick information to continue our work. It never smelled unclean and the residents did their best to help everyone. And usually succeeded.And the people in charge of laundry always did their job well. Maybe a few would lag behind but there always someone to make up for any leftover or uncleanliness without fail. They were very dependable people. Nice to speak with on downtime as well. Sometimes, in their free shifts would help out the residents and in communications between the residents, the kitchen, and even guests visiting their family members. "

"This facility was the cleanest and neatest of several my friend lived in over the period of a year. This facility was cleaned with products that kept everything spotless while never smelling like a nursing home. The decor was low-key, easy to keep clean and remained very cheerful. It wasn't done up in a fake, fancy style, but was designed to look bright and clean. The staff was vigilant regarding residents' needs and moods. Residents who were truly unable to help themselves were never neglected and didn't have to beg with their eyes when they needed something. Those residents who could converse always had a chance to talk to staff. Unlike other facilities my family friend briefly occupied, our hearts didn't break every time we had to leave him in this nursing home. Nobody here was medicated into a stupor for staff convenience, people were called Dear or Sweetie because the staff couldn't be bothered to read their names on the door.A doctor or RN was available for questions and answers even over the weekends and on holidays, which is unheard of in most skilled nursing homes, and residents' comfort and peace of mind are considered the only was of giving complete care, not just something that is provided as time permits. Visitors are treated with respect and with thanks for helping to keep residents from feeling isolated and forgotten. This nursing home would be the average, in a utopia. "

"St. Martin's home is wonderful. They're very attentive and very caring. The staff was wonderful and that's just terrific with residents. There are nuns there who are big part of it. I just love everything about it. It's in a very nice area, very peaceful, and beautiful. "

"I will be completing my rehab at PVC within a couple of weeks and I must say the stay at the facility went well. The staff from Nursing, Rehab, Food Services, Social Work, Recreation and Ms. T from EVS all treated me with respect & courtesy. I was in a semi-private room which was fine."

"My mother was in Charlestown Care Center for rehab. She was on 24-hour watch because she just had a stroke, and they took good care of her. The place was well kept, and the people I talked to seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. The staff members were very friendly, the therapist was genuinely concerned, and the social worker was really good and understanding. The place was clean and didn't have an odor. They had good activities and church service. The cost was pricey, and my mom wouldn't have been able to afford it if not for her insurance."

"My father is a resident of Lorien Columbia. They had more rehab days. They seem to encourage him more and he spends more time with them. The staff were good, and they contact me also. They were under construction, and they still look pretty good."

"I've been here for over a year. The staff treats me well. I love the activities, especially bingo and I like painting. The rooms are kept very clean. The staff always gets me what I need, when I ask for it. I’ve certainly been making some improvements in my health, since I got here. I would recommend this to my own friend, if they were looking for this type of care. It's really been all good times for me here. "

"There were several missteps my first week. They had me share a room with a patient who was recovering from a collapsed lung he had COVID, pneumonia, and was on oxygen & a nebulizer. He crashed by the end of the week. I'm currently recovery from a broken ankle and surgery to fix it. I was sent to the hospital twice to make sure I didn't have a blood clot in my lungs. My first occupational therapist was ok but he kept kicking my leg from under to keep me from putting pressure on it. I was afraid I might fall. I returned with the promise of a private room and they would do better. The room has a draft but clean and the service has been better. They have a new director and seem to be taking steps to improve. This is my second time the first time I couldn't walk. I was here while 2 other family members were residents. "

"My mother was in Resorts of Augsburg for three months in the rehab section. It is an assisted and long-term nursing facility. The staff was very good. The place was very clean. The physical therapy people were very good. They were polite, but the upper management who were not there on the property, I didn't care for them too much. They had bingo, movie day, and church service. They have a hair salon. They have a daily newsletter they bring around to everyone. Based on the prices at other places, they're a little higher, but I think the quality might be above the others."

"My mother is in FutureCare - Lochearn. It's a nice community. They take care of her pretty well. Some of the staff are OK. The food looks pretty good. It's a great big building. It was a cathedral some years ago. The atmosphere is OK. She doesn't eat in the dining area. She eats in her room. They bring her her food. The courtyard has some benches to sit on. She has another lady in her room. It's not that big. It's enough for two beds and it has a curtain to separate the beds, and there's a bathroom in there."
