"Frederick Villa Nursing has a very kind atmosphere. But, depending on the stations patients were set in, it defined the state in which their situation continued. I remember the third station, farthest from the entrance, had residents with a very lackadaisical idea of the workplace. I came to them for a friend who had, had an allergic reaction(minor of course) and they just stared without a response. I put a random complaint in when I heard a few of the residents in this station discussing an accident where a patient fell. This caused the patient to have to redo most of their rehabilitating courses all over again. The resident responsible was apparently just "vacant and looking everywhere but the patient in need".On the other hand, the first station closest to the entrance had impeccable residents who worked swiftly and efficiently. These were the residents we went to whenever we had a question needing an answer or an avenue for quick information to continue our work. It never smelled unclean and the residents did their best to help everyone. And usually succeeded.And the people in charge of laundry always did their job well. Maybe a few would lag behind but there always someone to make up for any leftover or uncleanliness without fail. They were very dependable people. Nice to speak with on downtime as well. Sometimes, in their free shifts would help out the residents and in communications between the residents, the kitchen, and even guests visiting their family members. "

"St. Martin's home is wonderful. They're very attentive and very caring. The staff was wonderful and that's just terrific with residents. There are nuns there who are big part of it. I just love everything about it. It's in a very nice area, very peaceful, and beautiful. "

"My mother was in Charlestown Care Center for rehab. She was on 24-hour watch because she just had a stroke, and they took good care of her. The place was well kept, and the people I talked to seemed to genuinely enjoy being there. The staff members were very friendly, the therapist was genuinely concerned, and the social worker was really good and understanding. The place was clean and didn't have an odor. They had good activities and church service. The cost was pricey, and my mom wouldn't have been able to afford it if not for her insurance."

"I couldn’t see anything wrong with ManorCare. Everything seemed nice, well run, and well kept. I liked the friendliness of the staff. "

"I stayed at the facility for a short time but in my short time I started Physical therapy and I gained the ability to walk and get back to my day to day life after surgery. The staff are very friendly and pleasant and made my stay very enjoyable. The Physical therapy team is amazing they really get you back on your feet. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of a rehab facility. A big thank you to all the staff. 👍🏾💪🏾"

"Caton Manor seemed very clean. The halls were clean. There was no odor. My friend that was there said the food was good and their rehabilitation was good. Again, they had a problem with staffing. It was even much better than the place where my husband was at before. It was newer, updated, and freshly painted."

"My dad was there 2 years ago for PT-OT and they were great. We are back after a UTI-hospital stay. They got him all checked in at 4:00pm. Everyone was super nice. His dinner was the best chicken spaghetti I have had. From the CNA-nurse's-admin staff couldn't ask for a safer-nicer staff.. thank you all for the care of my 88 yr old dad. "

"My mother is in FutureCare - Lochearn. It's a nice community. They take care of her pretty well. Some of the staff are OK. The food looks pretty good. It's a great big building. It was a cathedral some years ago. The atmosphere is OK. She doesn't eat in the dining area. She eats in her room. They bring her her food. The courtyard has some benches to sit on. She has another lady in her room. It's not that big. It's enough for two beds and it has a curtain to separate the beds, and there's a bathroom in there."

"My mother was in Resorts of Augsburg for three months in the rehab section. It is an assisted and long-term nursing facility. The staff was very good. The place was very clean. The physical therapy people were very good. They were polite, but the upper management who were not there on the property, I didn't care for them too much. They had bingo, movie day, and church service. They have a hair salon. They have a daily newsletter they bring around to everyone. Based on the prices at other places, they're a little higher, but I think the quality might be above the others."

"Future Care Sandtown is good. They helped my father because they worked with dementia, and they also took care of his feeding tube. He has a basic room with a flat screen, 2 beds, 2 wardrobes, a bathroom, and a shower area. The private rooms seem to be really nice and clean. "

"The Lutheran Village at Miller's Grant was a very nice facility. It's small and they don't offer as much as the other place. One of my concerns was they have no peripheral security. It is in what you would call a safe neighborhood, but even so, if I'm going to take my dog out after dark, I would like to know that there were no people potentially wandering around. It was a lovely place, but the extracurricular activities were limited in certain areas and they were more expensive than others. The one-room apartment had a kitchen, bedroom, and bath. Some have dens and balconies, some don't. The balcony doesn't matter to me and I probably wouldn't use the den because it's an inner room and I don't want to sit in a room without a window. The staff was quite professional and very good. The main problem is that they concentrated on integrating with the community, so any activity they had was just really social with current residents. They had good facilities, good common areas, and good workout areas. I can't fault quite a bit for what they provide. It's just that the number of activities was fewer. It's laid out fairly well. They have a separate facility for people who need care. It's very nice and very clean. They're starting to build another building, so it's going to mess up the site as well and that gave me some pause."

"It is a disaster. My wife's temp went to 106 and it was difficult to get an ambulance. Finally their regional person ordered one directly since this place refused to. Got her to Univ of Maryland to save her life. Next day they had her on induced coma for 3 days. Needless to say it was awful. No one cares."
