"I will move into The Meadows of Reisterstown l & II. They had balconies, and I loved it. It was beautiful. They're a little bigger than the usual senior apartments, so it just seemed perfect. The kitchen was lovely. They supplied all the appliances. They did have some with bathtubs or showers. The one I saw had a bathtub, and that's fine with me. There's a little trail around the grounds of the apartment buildings, and just outside, there is a shopping center and supermarket. It seemed like the perfect little spot, and I loved the area. It's up there in Reisterstown, Maryland, but it's still perfect. It's quiet."

"I'm on a waiting list for the Waterfalls of Catonsville. They're redoing a wing of the building. They were very welcoming and I like that it's more of a home feel of an environment. That's what a place where my mom used to live was like. It's a smaller facility and they only have a limited number of residents, so they can get more care. There were always people with the residents. Even if they were in their bedroom or if they were in the common areas, there was always someone with them. The facility was nice and clean and all the people were clean. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The room was more like a small bedroom with a bed and a dresser. The room wasn't as large, but the common spaces were large. They were doing art when I was there. They had a courtyard and they do activities in the dining room when it's not dining time. It's more like a multipurpose room. It used to be an old mansion that they've turned into housing. There are no long walks. They back up to parks, so they can walk in the park. They back up to a wooded area. They had their own chef."

"I visited the senior apartments of The Terraces at Park Heights. It was new and pretty. The apartment was very small, but everything else was beautiful. They had an exercise room, a place where you could park your bike, and an outdoor sitting area. It was very nice. They were good. They were polite, and they took us around. We had a nice tour, and the person who gave the tour was very informative and very polite."

"I went to look at Edens Homes. The people I met were friendly. They answered all my questions. The facility was clean. All the rooms were nice. They had walk-in showers. The staff member who took me around was friendly, very informative, and approachable. They serve two meals and a snack. They had a nurse who would come in once a month. They put small refrigerators in the room. They have transportation."

"My dad moved into Evergreens at Columbia Town Center. The facility is very well kept up. There are some younger, older people. Everyone's very friendly. There are lots of good common spaces and activities. There's a pool, a hot tub, and grounds outside for you to sit and hang out. There's also a grill, so there are things to do when people come to visit. The staff is fantastic so far. They are very responsive. There is no dining area. The community organized bingo nights. They have music, movies, and water aerobics. It was very reasonably priced. The other thing that's worth noting is that it's right in Columbia Town Center, so there's a lot of good stuff nearby and attractions."

"This facility is a very caring facility. Soma, who is the nurse, cook, etc who takes care of my Dad, does an excellent job and Tim, the owner/director and Charilyn makes sure all residents stay healthy which I have been so thankful for."

"I was nervous about finding a place for my mother, but when I found this one, I was so glad I did ! . Not only was my mother well cared for here, but the staff and owner of the facility made me feel very welcome . They were also very helpful in keeping me updated on my mom, who I visited frequently and who was in wonderful hands. They host alot of activities , game nights and they even go out some time to keep the residents busy . If you're looking for a place to call home for a member of your family, I would absolutely recommend this location. Thank you Mrs.Kim !!"

Our mission is to provide our residents with the highest level of care, unique to each individual's needs. To ensure the needs of our residents we have an on-call nurse practitioner. Our staff participate in monthly training given by the nurse practitioner to ensure resident comfort and care. In addition to our janitorial staff, Open Hand's uses germicidal lamps to sterilize our facility, to combat germs. The meals at Open Hand's are made in-house to perfection, with nutrition in mind. For our bed-bound residents, we are under contract with doctors, nurse practitioners, and even nail techs to upkeep our residents. "I toured Angel Core Home of Care at Parkmont and looked at their assisted living. I was looking for respite care for my father, and my tour was great. The care provider gave me a tour of the place and showed me the lower floor and the upper level. My father would be on the lower level because he's a level 3. The other residents there were rather high functioning, a little higher than my father. He has dementia, but he could always blend in with them, and he wouldn't be a problem once they had him situated. I thought the house was a nice place. It has a nice yard, a nice front porch where they would take folks to have some outside time, and it was decent. If they had availability for my father, then I would have chosen that. I think they would accept a minimum of two weeks for respite care stays, and I believe they have 5 residents. The place looked fine, kept up well, and was up to par. It looked like it met all the codes, from what I could see. It was someplace that I would choose for a loved one to be."

"I went to look at The Hamlet at Queenstown. The facility was well-run. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The amenities and the facilities were very nice. If my mom only needed assisted living, it's a nice place. The kitchen was very clean. Nobody was expecting me to come, but the facility was extremely clean."

"This place is by far the best in Anna Arundel County. Around the clock care, a knowledgeable owner, and great meals. My aunts did respite care here and we ended up keeping her here. The owner and his staff went above and beyond to care for her until she passed. My family and I will be forever grateful for the care my aunt received. My aunt was bed bound ; the team frequently made sure she was turned and had creams applied. Her label drastically improved and she did well up until her passing, which she did at-home hospice care there. Thank you so much Utopia and Mr. Williams"
