"#1 Adoring Adult Care, is a wonderful place! Our sister have been under their care for almost a year. The staff is great, the facility is always nice kept, clean and the home cooked meals are AMAZING. I must say, I would love to come here when my time comes. I have came over and was able to enjoy outside activities as well as bingo and connect four. While visiting my sister, we always feel welcomed and like family. "

"The tour I had of Heritage at Augsburg's independent living was good. The people I met were friendly. The person who gave the tour was a little busy that day. He had other people and a lot of appointments, but he managed to squeeze me in and showed me a couple of apartments, and they looked good. He's also willing to work with me on an anticipated move-in date if we reach that point. The tour went well. They showed me the library, gym, and arts and crafts room. I also saw the restaurant and the community center room. They even offered me a meal, which was very tasty. It was overcast that day, so I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the outside, but the inside of the place was clean and well-kept."

"This facility is exceptionall! The staff works VERY close with us to ensure mom's care needs are handled. She wasn't very active, and veryy reluctant to transition into a facility. Now she's become a social butterfly! The place is beautiful, bright and ALWAYS CLEAN! Activities are always coordinated for Mom. The Nurses and therapist are very sweet. After 2 years, I'm happy to say we've made the right choice! "

Our mission is to provide our residents with the highest level of care, unique to each individual's needs. To ensure the needs of our residents we have an on-call nurse practitioner. Our staff participate in monthly training given by the nurse practitioner to ensure resident comfort and care. In addition to our janitorial staff, Open Hand's uses germicidal lamps to sterilize our facility, to combat germs. The meals at Open Hand's are made in-house to perfection, with nutrition in mind. For our bed-bound residents, we are under contract with doctors, nurse practitioners, and even nail techs to upkeep our residents. We also offer visits to our facility! "My husband was at Angel Core Home of Care for respite. I think he was the most difficult person that they weren't expecting. He'd never been away from me. So, there were things that he did that were not in their best interests, but I like the location and I like the people. I also like the service that they provide and most of all, I like the cost. He was in the memory care there."

"I'm on a waiting list for the Waterfalls of Catonsville. They're redoing a wing of the building. They were very welcoming and I like that it's more of a home feel of an environment. That's what a place where my mom used to live was like. It's a smaller facility and they only have a limited number of residents, so they can get more care. There were always people with the residents. Even if they were in their bedroom or if they were in the common areas, there was always someone with them. The facility was nice and clean and all the people were clean. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The room was more like a small bedroom with a bed and a dresser. The room wasn't as large, but the common spaces were large. They were doing art when I was there. They had a courtyard and they do activities in the dining room when it's not dining time. It's more like a multipurpose room. It used to be an old mansion that they've turned into housing. There are no long walks. They back up to parks, so they can walk in the park. They back up to a wooded area. They had their own chef."

"I've been a resident at Alta at Regency Crest for almost 5 years and it is very nice here. The residents are very friendly, as well as the Management Team, Maintenance Staff and Custodian. The Amenities are many. Such as an Indoor Swimming Pool, Yoga Room, Beauty Salon, Exercise Room, and Game Room. There is also an outdoor Courtyard with tables, chairs, umbrellas and a pond with Ducks that waddle around, that are so cute and will surely bring a smile to your face. Also, there is a a large Great Room with a fireplace inside where residents congregate, play cards, various games, enjoy food (compliments of the Management Team) and a large glass Fish Tank to watch and enjoy all the beautiful fish. There is plenty to enjoy here or you can just sit and enjoy being alone on the front porch. Gazebo or some of the other beautiful areas on the premises!"

"Heartlands at Ellicott City have 48 acres of land and it is a beautiful place. They have small bungalows, efficiency apartments and one-bedroom apartments. The bungalows are spread throughout the property. They also have a nice little patio. This community is close to my granddaughter so I can visit my two great-grandchildren, and for me, that is the best thing that I like about Heartlands. "

"Evergreens at Columbia Town Center had a swimming pool and an eating facility. The apartments were extremely nice. It had a washer and dryer in the units and a full kitchen. They offer a system where you have to check in every morning just to say "Hello. I'm up./I'm awake, I'm moving around." and I kind of like that. They had a lot of activities there and a lot of things going on. They have a food court across the street, in the Columbia Mall. I liked the place. I think each apartment has a balcony. The lady there was very, very nice and very informative. They don't have an entrance fee, which is good. You pay $3,000 or something there upfront before you move in. Everything is prorated in that first month. It was just a little out of my budget because once I did the calculation, I would have pretty much $500 left to work with and I have other bills, a car, medicines, and $500 is not going to get it. Having $500 today is like having a nickel in your hand and nothing costs a penny anymore. It was very nice, though."

"This place is by far the best in Anna Arundel County. Around the clock care, a knowledgeable owner, and great meals. My aunts did respite care here and we ended up keeping her here. The owner and his staff went above and beyond to care for her until she passed. My family and I will be forever grateful for the care my aunt received. My aunt was bed bound ; the team frequently made sure she was turned and had creams applied. Her label drastically improved and she did well up until her passing, which she did at-home hospice care there. Thank you so much Utopia and Mr. Williams"

"When I was looking for a place for my mother to move into, once I visited Elternhaus I knew my search was over. The place is just lovely and the rooms are very nice with windows and nice views. Once she moved in my thoughts were confirmed, she was thriving there. The director, caregivers and staff are very caring and communicate well with families as well. It is a loving Christian atmosphere that makes the residents comfortable. I could go on and on with positives about the place. I would highly recommend. "

"We toured Access Care Assisted Living. It was small and well-run, and we liked the house it was in. It's very close to where we live. The rooms were very nice and spacious. My mom will be in a private room, which is very nice. They've got an activities room and we like that a lot, so she has something to do. We saw them in the room where they were watching T.V. and playing puzzles. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and nice. We think Mom's going to be very happy."

"The thing I like about Wilshire Estates Gracious Retirement Living is that they seem to have a lot of activities. They have three meals a day, so they have a refrigerator. I don't think they have an oven or a stove top because you're not supposed to be cooking, and you're supposed to go down to the dining room. The staff who gave the tour was very good. The building is pretty new. They can sign up for a shuttle bus to go to the local pool, for example."

"Cadence Living Olney is lovely. The facility is really good. We looked at a studio and a one-bedroom. The studio was lovely. They both had a small kitchen facility, but we liked the one bedroom, just to have that extra space. We viewed the physical therapy room, activities room, and dining room. Everything was so pretty and people were so friendly. I was impressed by that. They have a nice screened-in porch and there's a nature preserve behind, which was a nice feature, to have those trees behind you and then a walkway all around the place. They all seemed genuinely friendly. We saw interactions between staff and residents there, and they were all positive. My son and daughter-in-law ate lunch there and talked with three of the residents who were all very positive about the place and happy living there. They like the food."

"I went to Victory Crossing in Silver Spring and spoke with the manager. They said you have to have a specific income that I don't have. I was able to tour their independent living community, and I like it. They were very nice and new. I think they built it in 2017. The staff was also very nice. They really want to give the spot to me, so it's not their fault. They also showed me the apartment and explained how everything works."
