Our mission is to provide our residents with the highest level of care, unique to each individual's needs. To ensure the needs of our residents we have an on-call nurse practitioner. Our staff participate in monthly training given by the nurse practitioner to ensure resident comfort and care. In addition to our janitorial staff, Open Hand's uses germicidal lamps to sterilize our facility, to combat germs. The meals at Open Hand's are made in-house to perfection, with nutrition in mind. For our bed-bound residents, we are under contract with doctors, nurse practitioners, and even nail techs to upkeep our residents. "My brother lived and thrived at Angel Core Home of Care for three years. A large, older house with a wrap-around porch, Angel Core was a haven and home for my brother. He received excellent care and kindness. It was most reassuring to find that any change in my brother's health was immediately noted and addressed. Also, he had the chance to engage in various games, dance, and exercises throughout the week with the other residents. I am truly grateful for the outstanding care given to my brother. "I'm on a waiting list for the Waterfalls of Catonsville. They're redoing a wing of the building. They were very welcoming and I like that it's more of a home feel of an environment. That's what a place where my mom used to live was like. It's a smaller facility and they only have a limited number of residents, so they can get more care. There were always people with the residents. Even if they were in their bedroom or if they were in the common areas, there was always someone with them. The facility was nice and clean and all the people were clean. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The room was more like a small bedroom with a bed and a dresser. The room wasn't as large, but the common spaces were large. They were doing art when I was there. They had a courtyard and they do activities in the dining room when it's not dining time. It's more like a multipurpose room. It used to be an old mansion that they've turned into housing. There are no long walks. They back up to parks, so they can walk in the park. They back up to a wooded area. They had their own chef."

"I toured Regency Crest. I loved everything about it except the price. I couldn't afford it, but everything else was beautiful. I would love to live there, but it was out of my price range. They had the social room, exercise room, and indoor pool. It's very roomy and spacious. I think almost everything was included in it. They had a little courtyard where you could sit, and it was close to shopping areas. It was very clean, and everything was really nice."

"I toured Merritt Station II Senior Apartments. What I liked is the location. You can get to a lot of places. The people were very nice. They let me look at the facility and the apartment. Everything has been updated, very nice."

"My dad moved into Evergreens at Columbia Town Center. The facility is very well kept up. There are some younger, older people. Everyone's very friendly. There are lots of good common spaces and activities. There's a pool, a hot tub, and grounds outside for you to sit and hang out. There's also a grill, so there are things to do when people come to visit. The staff is fantastic so far. They are very responsive. There is no dining area. The community organized bingo nights. They have music, movies, and water aerobics. It was very reasonably priced. The other thing that's worth noting is that it's right in Columbia Town Center, so there's a lot of good stuff nearby and attractions."

"This place is by far the best in Anna Arundel County. Around the clock care, a knowledgeable owner, and great meals. My aunts did respite care here and we ended up keeping her here. The owner and his staff went above and beyond to care for her until she passed. My family and I will be forever grateful for the care my aunt received. My aunt was bed bound ; the team frequently made sure she was turned and had creams applied. Her label drastically improved and she did well up until her passing, which she did at-home hospice care there. Thank you so much Utopia and Mr. Williams"

"I went to look at The Hamlet at Queenstown. The facility was well-run. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The amenities and the facilities were very nice. If my mom only needed assisted living, it's a nice place. The kitchen was very clean. Nobody was expecting me to come, but the facility was extremely clean."

"The thing I like about Wilshire Estates Gracious Retirement Living is that they seem to have a lot of activities. They have three meals a day, so they have a refrigerator. I don't think they have an oven or a stove top because you're not supposed to be cooking, and you're supposed to go down to the dining room. The staff who gave the tour was very good. The building is pretty new. They can sign up for a shuttle bus to go to the local pool, for example."
