The tour I had of Heritage at Augsburg's independent living was good. The people I met were friendly. The person who gave the tour was a little busy that day. He had other people and a lot of appointments, but he managed to squeeze me in and showed me a couple of apartments, and they looked good. He's also willing to work with me on an anticipated move-in date if we reach that point. The tour went well. They showed me the library, gym, and arts and crafts room. I also saw the restaurant and the community center room. They even offered me a meal, which was very tasty. It was overcast that day, so I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the outside, but the inside of the place was clean and well-kept.

I like the whole setup at Heritage at Augsburg. Plus, they're remodeling. The dining area was really nice. They showed a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom, and both of those were nice. One was smaller than the other, of course. I like that. The laundry area and the outside were really nice. They showed us where they had little concerts and things. I like the fact that they had balconies and that you weren't confined to your living quarters; you could go out on your own balcony. It was nice that you could go to a theater-type room and watch a movie. You don't even have to have a group if you want to; you just go in and watch a movie on your own. They have a little game room. They have a monthly schedule for what they offer to the seniors and that was good. I saw their cafeteria, and I saw the menu and everything. I didn't like the fact that you have to pay for your meals. I feel like it should be included. I believe the staff said that they would give them $300-something, but over that, you would have to pay for your own meals. Thinking of my loved one who doesn't like to spend any money, I could see him just spending the little bit that he has until the next month, as opposed to if you offer them at least two meals a day, then you know for sure that they would have two meals. Another thing I didn't like is that you have to pay for your own electricity, too. I prefer things to be all-inclusive, so no one has to worry about additional bills. I met the manager in his office. He was good. I appreciated his concern for my loved one as what he wanted and what he was looking for. He called me a couple of times to check up on him and everything. He gave us a really in-depth tour. We saw an empty apartment, and we saw one that was furnished, so you can really get a good idea of how it would look. I think he was very friendly and concerned.

I moved into Heritage at Augsburg. It was nice when I visited. It was much cheaper than some of the ones I had looked at or wanted to move into. I was looking for a maid service or cleaning service, and they had that. They do a monthly cleaning service, but it's a deep clean, and meals are nice. Everybody has been fantastic. Anything I need or request, I get. It's clean and neat, and they are renovating some of its areas. So, I don't see it hindering anything, such as carpets and stuff, in what they were doing, but it's nice. The food is available, and it's delicious. They had two snowballs, and I haven't been to any activities, but I've seen the people, and they seem content, satisfied, and happy with it.

I toured the Heritage at Augsburg. I like the inside of the community. I met four staff members, and all of them were very courteous, kind, and professional. They walked me around, and they answered my questions. I was very happy with them. We looked at the cafeteria through the door, but we did not go in. They didn't offer any food, but they said they had a food plan. I think it's $350 a month for you to eat and use the cafeteria. Outside, the grass was well cut, and everything was clean. It was easy to park, and it was easy to find, too. The rooms were very clean. I used their restrooms twice, and they were very clean. The waiting room was quiet and neat. If you didn't have a mask for COVID, they had a whole box for you. The receptionist was very courteous. The tour guide was very friendly and helpful. They have a weight room, an auditorium, and a theater. The rooms looked nice. They're a good size. I was not able to look at a two-bedroom apartment, but they have a one-bedroom apartment.

It was a nice place, but the one-bedroom apartment that I saw was not big enough for me. They had everything, and they're really nice and very convenient. The layout was nice, too. They had a list of activities and a lot of community things going on.

I live here and it's really nice. It's not as big as the other ones. I wanted a smaller place and not so many buildings. We have 11 buildings actually, but they're not real big. I know most of the people here, so it makes it nice. Every building is different as far as the rooms go, but they're very, very nice. The two-bedrooms are really nice. They have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, too. Some have studio apartments. I have a one-bedroom, but I have a dining area, a living room area, a kitchen, and one bathroom. The staff are very friendly. It's really pretty out here. We're surrounded by woods and trees. Every once in a while, we see a deer. It's really nice. They have a beauty parlor, and they have two beauticians here. They have an exercise room. We have all kinds of classes that you can attend, like yoga or exercise. We actually have an exercise room with equipment. We have people that need rehab. In other words, they need to exercise because their back hurts or whatever. If you give them a referral from your doctor, then they take care of you like two or three times a week for physical therapy.

It was clean. The people were friendly. The atmosphere was very nice. We were pleased with that one, and if we had to do anything, we would totally consider that one as one of the number one picks. We spoke to a couple of people there; they seemed to be happy, and that meant a lot because my mother was a friendly person. They serve more than one meal. They had books for people to read. They had karaoke. They played games like bingo. They had arts and crafts. They showed me a place where they do physical therapy. They supplied transportation to doctor's appointments. The staff was very friendly and informative.

It is a wonderful place. The people were very friendly and there were lots of activities going on. I especially like the rooms because each of the room had a French door leading out onto a little patio and that was true even for studio size apartments. When I decide to do independent living that's where I would go.

We have visited and we liked the facilities there. The fact that it was not too big and that our apartment will be on the first floor was very appealing. The apartments were nice and spacious.

It would be my friend's first choice. It was a very nice facility. The staff was great. Their customer service people were good. They also had the same services and features as the other facilities we looked at. My friend was looking for a private room; however, when she went there, it was like a hospital with a curtain in between, and there would be two people in there and that was not what she wanted.
