"I toured the Heritage at Augsburg. I like the inside of the community. I met four staff members, and all of them were very courteous, kind, and professional. They walked me around, and they answered my questions. I was very happy with them. We looked at the cafeteria through the door, but we did not go in. They didn't offer any food, but they said they had a food plan. I think it's $350 a month for you to eat and use the cafeteria. Outside, the grass was well cut, and everything was clean. It was easy to park, and it was easy to find, too. The rooms were very clean. I used their restrooms twice, and they were very clean. The waiting room was quiet and neat. If you didn't have a mask for COVID, they had a whole box for you. The receptionist was very courteous. The tour guide was very friendly and helpful. They have a weight room, an auditorium, and a theater. The rooms looked nice. They're a good size. I was not able to look at a two-bedroom apartment, but they have a one-bedroom apartment."

"I toured Merritt Station II Senior Apartments. What I liked is the location. You can get to a lot of places. The people were very nice. They let me look at the facility and the apartment. Everything has been updated, very nice."

"I choose Arden Courts of Pikesville for my wife because they treat dementia patients only. The rooms are very nice. They are an average size. It has a very congenial environment. The staff is very good. My wife seems to like the food. She never complains. They have activities like bingo and sing-a-longs. I like that it is a locked down facility so you can't go out. The security is very good. "

"I'm on a waiting list for the Waterfalls of Catonsville. They're redoing a wing of the building. They were very welcoming and I like that it's more of a home feel of an environment. That's what a place where my mom used to live was like. It's a smaller facility and they only have a limited number of residents, so they can get more care. There were always people with the residents. Even if they were in their bedroom or if they were in the common areas, there was always someone with them. The facility was nice and clean and all the people were clean. The staff was very nice and very welcoming. The room was more like a small bedroom with a bed and a dresser. The room wasn't as large, but the common spaces were large. They were doing art when I was there. They had a courtyard and they do activities in the dining room when it's not dining time. It's more like a multipurpose room. It used to be an old mansion that they've turned into housing. There are no long walks. They back up to parks, so they can walk in the park. They back up to a wooded area. They had their own chef."

"I toured Regency Crest. I loved everything about it except the price. I couldn't afford it, but everything else was beautiful. I would love to live there, but it was out of my price range. They had the social room, exercise room, and indoor pool. It's very roomy and spacious. I think almost everything was included in it. They had a little courtyard where you could sit, and it was close to shopping areas. It was very clean, and everything was really nice."

"This place is by far the best in Anna Arundel County. Around the clock care, a knowledgeable owner, and great meals. My aunts did respite care here and we ended up keeping her here. The owner and his staff went above and beyond to care for her until she passed. My family and I will be forever grateful for the care my aunt received. My aunt was bed bound ; the team frequently made sure she was turned and had creams applied. Her label drastically improved and she did well up until her passing, which she did at-home hospice care there. Thank you so much Utopia and Mr. Williams"

"I went to look at The Hamlet at Queenstown. The facility was well-run. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The amenities and the facilities were very nice. If my mom only needed assisted living, it's a nice place. The kitchen was very clean. Nobody was expecting me to come, but the facility was extremely clean."

"My dad moved into Evergreens at Columbia Town Center. The facility is very well kept up. There are some younger, older people. Everyone's very friendly. There are lots of good common spaces and activities. There's a pool, a hot tub, and grounds outside for you to sit and hang out. There's also a grill, so there are things to do when people come to visit. The staff is fantastic so far. They are very responsive. There is no dining area. The community organized bingo nights. They have music, movies, and water aerobics. It was very reasonably priced. The other thing that's worth noting is that it's right in Columbia Town Center, so there's a lot of good stuff nearby and attractions."

"The thing I like about Wilshire Estates Gracious Retirement Living is that they seem to have a lot of activities. They have three meals a day, so they have a refrigerator. I don't think they have an oven or a stove top because you're not supposed to be cooking, and you're supposed to go down to the dining room. The staff who gave the tour was very good. The building is pretty new. They can sign up for a shuttle bus to go to the local pool, for example."
