"My tour with Sunrise was excellent. They were very professional, and the tour was done well. The rooms were a little on the small side, and most of the space was used for common areas, including beautiful sitting rooms where nobody was sitting at the time. There were people watching TV together."

"The representative we spoke to at Regency Park seemed very knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and she even gave us some information we didn't ask for. She gave us a nice tour. The facility seemed clean. From what I could tell, there weren't any issues or red flags that bothered me. I think it just depends on the level of care that each person might need of whether that's a proper fit or not. She showed us apartments, and they were clean. They give people the option of whether they will furnish it or you can bring your own furniture in. I think that makes it accommodating for people so that they can make it more like home if they have their own personal belongings. I thought that that was a nice option that you don't have to have the furniture that they've put in there, unless you want to use it. They showed us their activity rooms and they have a library. They gave us a printout of the activities for the whole month. They gave us samples of the meals that they provide. They showed us the dining room. We pretty much toured the whole facility. With assisted living, you can have different levels of care, and we saw some people in there. Some of the residents were up and walking around, and there were others that were not very mobile, and with different degrees of help. Although my mother is 94 years old, she stays active all day long. It might be for somebody that needs more care than what she needs. I don't think it would be the right fit for my mother, but I think if something happened where she were to go downhill and be less mobile, and less able to take care of herself, I would feel perfectly comfortable recommending that place. A lot of the rooms sort of open up into a little living space. So, if you're out in that living space and people have their doors open, you can see in their rooms. There's probably not as much privacy, but for somebody that might need more care, that would allow the caretakers to be better able to keep an eye on the resident. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It depends on somebody's physical condition. It just depends on the needs of the person and how able they are to take care of themselves."

"Came to do a tour of this facility and it was super clean and had a home-like feeling. The clients seemed very happy and really seem to be content with their care. Although we decided to keep my mom home, if ever we decide to put my mom in a facility this will be the one for sure! Thank you Utopias Touch!"

"We had a very good tour of Celebration Villa of Manresa. The staff did a very good job and we appreciated it. She was very friendly, and the information she gave us was very good. The residents were very friendly. It just gave us a good impression overall. The layout of the apartment was good. It was an older building and maybe the outside could have used some help. There was some chipped paint and things like that. But overall, it looked very good."

"The Hamlet at Queenstown is a newly renovated house, and it occupies five people. For a five-person house, they have four people taking care of the patients that were there. They have nurses, doctors, podiatrists, and dentists available. They have everybody that can come in, and whatever the needs of the patient, they come to the house. They have a nice walking area. They go through the woods, and they can take the patients on walks with the use of a walker, or they can go in a wheelchair. It's a very nice environment. It's more of a family type because the maximum number of patients is five. They have hospice care, so they can pass away there at the home. It's a small community, but it's nice. They have a beautiful kitchen, and they fix meals, but it's on a lower scale. The ladies that run the home are very nice and they care about the patients. They're very mature women, and they dress nicely. It's a nice environment. One thing, they have no information for me to take home to study over; They didn't have those available. They did have on the internet, a website, but a little bit. They have all the safety measures that are needed for all the patients, and all the equipment that they will need to transfer patients if they need to be transferred or taken care of."

"I have been to Spring Arbor of Crofton to see their memory care for my father. I was actually given a tour twice, and my experience was very positive. The people there were very welcoming and forthcoming with the information. I like how it seems very comfortable and welcoming. The facility itself appears to be very clean and organized. An added benefit is that it is close to my home. I toured their assisted living in the beginning. A resident allowed us to come into his apartment to take a look and it was very nice. I also took a look at a unit over at the memory care. It's an empty one, but it was clean. I would have no problem with my dad moving right into that unit because it was move-in ready."

"It is a beautiful and clean place. There are a lot of residents, so I don’t have to worry about Mom being lonely. There are activities like church services, arts and crafts, and games. They take very good care of their residents and are very professional. The staff is very friendly. They seem to love their work and are happy with what they do. They serve three meals a day. I can take my mom to her doctors' appointments or one of the staff can take her. I am very happy that my mom is living there. "

"I went to Arcadia of Crofton. I was impressed. There seemed to be a good ratio of people assisting. I got there around the time that they were cooking and the food smelled good. The residents look fine. I visited and I was happy. They have two houses. The grounds look peaceful. It's convenient for me. This is the facility that I may consider if my husband has to go into an assisted living facility. The rooms were fine. They have rooms with a private bathroom and they have rooms where you share a bathroom."

"She's settled at Heart Homes At Linthicum. It was clean and very personable, and it wasn't too large. Everything was good. There are planned activities, and she participates in painting, jewelry making, and exercises. "

One time, we were there for happy hour, and then we were there for bingo. It was beautiful. Their dining area is large, bright, and clean."

"I didn't feel Alma's Grace Assisted Living was a good fit for my mom. The majority of the residents were male. The rooms were satisfactory. The staff was helpful, but I really didn't stay long. It was a quaint house. I didn't have any problems other than I just didn't feel it would be the right fit."

"I saw New Horizon Assisted Living in Overbrook Lane. Most of the people were sharing a room; they have no private rooms. The staff was very friendly, they were there all the time, they lived on the premises. The amenities are kind of limited. It was very clean. It's not far from restaurants and hospitals."

"My sister stayed at Caring Hearts & Hands ALF for respite. She enjoyed being there and she was comfortable. We only met the lady that runs and owns the place. We saw one of the meals that she was preparing and it looked very appetizing. My sister said she ate very well while she was there. When I picked her up, she was in good shape. She was happy there."
