"I went to Pasadena Home Care. It was nice and clean. They were nice people. The layout was good. They had activities once a month. They had bingo. They had meals, too. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were very nice and friendly. The common area looked nice. It's a small place. They could improve by having activities more often."

"I have been to Spring Arbor of Crofton to see their memory care for my father. I was actually given a tour twice, and my experience was very positive. The people there were very welcoming and forthcoming with the information. I like how it seems very comfortable and welcoming. The facility itself appears to be very clean and organized. An added benefit is that it is close to my home. I toured their assisted living in the beginning. A resident allowed us to come into his apartment to take a look and it was very nice. I also took a look at a unit over at the memory care. It's an empty one, but it was clean. I would have no problem with my dad moving right into that unit because it was move-in ready."

"Spring Arbor of Severna Park is very nice, very well-kept, and very clean. It seems like a comfortable environment for anyone to live in. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were spacious, and they had everything that would be needed to keep my parents comfortable. It was a very nice facility. No concerns at all. The dining area is very nice. It's set up like a restaurant. They have nice outdoor opportunities for people to be indoors or outdoors to enjoy the scenery that they had around as well. They showed us the amenities, but I was not able to observe anything in action. The community was very well kept."

"I didn't feel Alma's Grace Assisted Living was a good fit for my mom. The majority of the residents were male. The rooms were satisfactory. The staff was helpful, but I really didn't stay long. It was a quaint house. I didn't have any problems other than I just didn't feel it would be the right fit."

"Sunrise of Severna Park was nice. I liked it overall. I liked the location because it's close to me, which is helpful. My friend needs a high level of care, which they had (because a lot of these places don't have that or they have a nursing home that they want to go into). I didn't want him in a nursing home. I wanted him in assisted living where he could get around with other people and have high-level care. It fits my needs. It also looked clean inside, and everybody was friendly. They took me to a lot of different rooms, showed me a lot of different areas, and were very informative, very helpful, and knew what they were talking about."

"My brother moved into Severna Park. I think the care is adequate. They have lots of activities, a library, a theater room, an exercise pool, and arts and crafts room. The dining hall is nice. They have an outside deck, a pier that you can fish off of, and a pontoon boat. I have had dealing with the person that set it all up and the nurse. The nurse was very helpful getting all the information from one VA hospital area to Baltimore hospital area. The person who showed us the place and the one that we signed the contract with was very nice. I had a meal there, and it was excellent."

"I went to Arcadia of Crofton. I was impressed. There seemed to be a good ratio of people assisting. I got there around the time that they were cooking and the food smelled good. The residents look fine. I visited and I was happy. They have two houses. The grounds look peaceful. It's convenient for me. This is the facility that I may consider if my husband has to go into an assisted living facility. The rooms were fine. They have rooms with a private bathroom and they have rooms where you share a bathroom."

"It is a beautiful and clean place. There are a lot of residents, so I don’t have to worry about Mom being lonely. There are activities like church services, arts and crafts, and games. They take very good care of their residents and are very professional. The staff is very friendly. They seem to love their work and are happy with what they do. They serve three meals a day. I can take my mom to her doctors' appointments or one of the staff can take her. I am very happy that my mom is living there. "

"Brighton Gardens was 3 or 4 stories tall with wings going out. I thought they had up to around 60 or 80 residents. The problem was my mother had short term memory. If she was to leave her room in a facility like that to go down, I understood they had attendants and all those things to accommodate her, however, if she went down to the recreation area, sitting room or even the dining hall then preferred to went back on the elevator, she would not know which floor, wing or room to go to. It was way too much for my mom. They had very nice facilities, but they were not what I considered as accommodating. It was an excellent facility, but it was not for my mom. However, I thought it was excellent. For my wife and I, it would be perfect. It was 3 miles from us, and it was very clean. "

"I saw New Horizon Assisted Living in Overbrook Lane. Most of the people were sharing a room; they have no private rooms. The staff was very friendly, they were there all the time, they lived on the premises. The amenities are kind of limited. It was very clean. It's not far from restaurants and hospitals."

"My sister stayed at Caring Hearts & Hands ALF for respite. She enjoyed being there and she was comfortable. We only met the lady that runs and owns the place. We saw one of the meals that she was preparing and it looked very appetizing. My sister said she ate very well while she was there. When I picked her up, she was in good shape. She was happy there."
