My wife moved to the Independence Court of Hyattsville. They take good care of them. In the morning they help her get dressed and bathe and so forth. Then she goes about her day and she has lunch at a particular time and dinner at a particular time. My wife has told me a number of times how much she loves the food. I tried some of it. The food is good. The rooms are clean. They clean it every day. They come in, gather her clothes, and put the dirty clothes in the hamper. They picked out what she was going to wear, and my wife loved it. The rooms are clean. They have a list of medications, and they make sure that you get that every morning, so everything is good. They have activities going on all day long and sometimes my wife will participate, but sometimes she doesn't feel like it. She just watches TV. They have individual games for them to play crosswords, and things like that to keep them busy. It's a little high, but I guess you get what you pay for.

My uncle is in Independence Court of Hyattsville. The facility is exceptional, as far as their location, their amenities, and their staff. He is having trouble settling in, but they're working with us. They're very hands on. They're very available, phone, text, email, however I want to communicate. If there was a scale, I would rate them at the top of the scale. I think they're bending over backwards to do everything that they can to help him settle in. They have offered, if he doesn't settle into their facility, to help us transition to another one. This is my first time doing something like this, and I'm 100% pleased with Independence Court. I sat with him for a meal, and their service, what they offer, the choices, the presentation, it was like a restaurant.

My dad is moving into Independence Court of Hyattsville. I liked the cleanliness, the friendliness, and resourcefulness of the staff. The dining room setup, and the level of activities they provide for their residents. It's set up like a restaurant, it's inviting. It doesn't look like a high school cafeteria or anything like that. There's a level of elegance. They have like seven or eight activities a day. They have a calendar. They have a patio, they have a barber and hairstyles account.

I liked the Independence Court of Hyattsville. It was a nice and clean facility, and the staff was nice. They had a nice courtyard and they had activities. They had cookouts when the weather was nice, and it seemed like a nice place. The rooms were very nice, but they didn't have the little kitchenettes. You had to bring in your own mini refrigerator, microwave, and electric tea kettle. They had some rooms that weren't set up like the game room wasn't set up as a game room. One room was supposed to be a library that wasn't set up. I think they were in the process of adding some amenities, but they weren't quite added yet.

Independence Court of Hyattsville was OK. It was just average. There wasn't anything bad about it. The staff was OK. They were decent. The rooms were pretty good and they were all right. They were clean.

We chose Independence Court of Hyattsville for mom, because of its proximity to family and the affordability. Also, there are residents there that are acquainted with my mom. The staff has been very good. The facilities are very efficient and the place is very clean. They have a wide range of activities in assisted living like game show nights and stuff.

I like Independence Court of Hyattsville, but they didn't show us a one-bedroom apartment. It was very clean. The people were very friendly. They had a nice dining room, but I wasn't aware of the activities where they have bus trips. That was something I think made me lean towards the other place. They were very compatible with the place that my aunt is planning to move to, but the difference is they didn't have bus trips. The one that toured us was very nice. While I was waiting, the director came out and spoke with me, so they were all very friendly and very accommodating. The facility was very clean and very well kept. I didn't see anything that caused alarm.

Independence Court of Hyattsville was clean and had nice rooms, but their price was a little high. They did outings and other activities, like exercises. They had a community room, which is nice and big, with televisions and nice seats. The staff was nice and told me everything I need to know.

I had a good reference for Independence Court. The rooms were very nice and very comfortable, and it was a small group. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. It was a pleasant environment; it was home-like and had a nice living room. They had about six people, and they were all women that I saw. It was more of a family kind of thing, where they had six women and they were just there like a family.

I had been to Independence Court before and checked it out. I liked it, but didn't go there. I talked to them again and they said they would work with what my friend was getting as to his needs. He is really going into it now, moving around, talking to people, and not staying in his room. He has no complaints so far about the food or anything. The facility is clean. He has a private room and he likes it. I have not seen any negative attitude from the staff.
