    This agency provided NO services. They were contracted to provide a home care aide, but she didn’t show up, didn’t call, the agency didn’t call, and they did not provide a replacement. They had time to call twice the previous day to make sure billing was set up and then to call again to confirm the service. This left me to care for my 71 year old husband who was released from the hospital after major spinal surgery, while just out of bed myself the day before due to a sudden, serious illness. It was extremely difficult and painful for both of us. Completely unreliable!

    It was just the sitter to sit there and take the tube out. We only used them for a week, and purely for a sitter. The biggest issue I had was that it took me two weeks to finalize a bill, they never called me back on. It was a major task to try and pay the bill.

    Beverly was in a real downturn period. I'm not sure if they could have done anything to enhance that other than meeting their scheduling commitments. We had some scheduling issues. We only had a relationship with them for a matter of two or three weeks, and in that period, we were only scheduling one day a week and they had to cancel twice because they couldn't provide a caretaker at the scheduled time.

    They take care of a lot of chores that I can't handle on my own anymore. The caregiver has been excellent. I would recommend them because they fill their spots, but they do it the same as any other company.

    The services improved him daily life in terms of having someone to help him bathe. He was stubborn and did not want them anymore. I can speak to my father that he is not comfortable having someone for him. It would make sense to match the right caregiver to the temper of elderly folks. They could be as consistent as possible with the client's comfort.

    There wasn't a lot to be done. She was bedridden and not very alert. They were willing to do stuff, but there wasn't as much to do. We had the same daytime caregiver and they were easy to work with.

    They could have done their job. First off, they sent someone who couldn't speak English, and the next one was on her phone for an hour. One of them couldn't even help my mom get out of bed. They need to show up and do their job. They book, and then they don't show up to work.

    The first caregiver was here overnight and made sure that he did not fall and helped with getting him ready for the day. He just needed some extra attention, so he did not fall. The first caregiver that came was really good, and the second one was not so good.

    There is really nothing to improve, it just depends on the person who is coming. I would like the agency to improve on more transparency because a few times no one came out or told me ahead of time. As well as more time to get to know the caregiver before they start.

    I would like them to have a backup aid for Khalida. They also need to be better at scheduling their aids correctly as well. I would like them to make sure we always have an aid, and to have a backup aid assigned to give her care. It is hard when we have a caregiver who doesn't show up to work.

    I need assistance when I came home from the hospital, but they told me I did not need them anymore. I thought they did a great job for the most part. I had two therapists; I thought the physical therapist was great, but the occupational therapist was a waste of time.

    They help with his shower and shaving and washing clothes. It helps him tremendously. They can improve by doing more nursing things like taking blood pressure.

    They find workers. They are always following up. They are usually reliable when we make phone calls to them. They are good with scheduling, and they call us back pretty quickly. They try to find a sub if our caretaker can't come.

    They were great and it was nice to have someone there, but she did not like people in her house. I would recommend them because a lot of the caregivers that came out were very knowledgeable with hospice patients and help me understand what was happening.

    We had to follow the guidelines of the facility and they were able to be there to care for her in addition. We were grateful to have them. I liked that they are very communicative between me and my sister. They would let us know through text that an attendant wasn't coming and working to get someone in.

    We had an LPN who worked 16 hours a day and she was a huge source of comfort to our family, and we also had people coming in at night very sensitive to our needs and excellent care. We are highly recommending you to other people. You guys responded quickly and immediately and put 24/7 care for us with very short notice, and all of the caregivers who came in were amazing and just easy to work with.

    My wife is a fall risk, so the caretaker is there to help in case she needed to move around i.e. go to the bathroom. I would tell a friend that this company has a lot of flexibility, which is why I use them.

    By having in-home care, we kept the client home. It helped relieve my brother. If all the care that we got from all the people was that of one of the aides there, it would have been outstanding. In general, at-home care is great to keep your loved one at home, but if it's not satisfactory or they don't show, we still got to our out loved one home but it didn't give us what we were hoping for. We had a lot of no-shows from Care Advantage. I think we had about 4 regular staff and one of them was very good, very reliable, and gave the client very good care. The other one was not very well trained or maybe she just wasn't compatible with the client, but she did not give the care the other one did. One of them for the night shift was very reliable.

    The services were helpful. We only did it a couple of times. The person came to be a sitter in the facility where he was. They were great. They were really nice. I would recommend Care Advantage because they did a great job getting him ready for hospice care. It was perfect for timing until we could get the hospice.

    There's a variation of what the expectations are when caregivers come in. Some work better than others. Expectations vary greatly depending on which caregivers come.

    When the caregivers didn't show up, it was hard on me because I couldn't make my appointments I had set up already. Sometimes the caregivers didn't show up, but when they did, they were great caregivers.

    It gave me peace of mind. The second caregiver did fall asleep in the middle of the day, and when we needed lunch my mom didn't want to wake her so she made lunch. I would recommend them because they were very flexible when I needed them to start and finish.

    The first person they sent was very young, and didn't have the experience. She needed more training. The first couple of people that they sent did not work out, but the last caregiver was great. At first, we felt we were having a bad experience.

    I am a current client of this provider

    The physical therapy, occupational therapy, and skilled nursing are helping my husband to get better and be able to walk. He is getting better after three months and is starting to walk again. There are limited-service options because of what kind of patient he is, and this was his only option to be able to walk again while in home. They are helping my husband to walk again. I feel like they are very personable. I feel as though they are collaborative as well. I feel totally confident talking to them about what I see my husband's needs being. They listen to me and we work together.

    It is easier knowing someone is here but we feel like we don't have a great way of knowing how well my mom is doing. We asked for them to call us when they arrived to the home but they didn't do that. It would be nice to have better communication. I would like to see the caretakers be more interactive.

    The care is very inconsistent. I would like to be notified when a caregiver is coming out. On the weekends and holidays, the care is not consistent.     I needed more help than most of the caregivers could provide. I feel like my caregivers could not help with all that I needed them to do. One caregiver was great, the others were not so great.

    I would recommend Care Advantage - Richmond over the other ones. We've had a very good experience with the director there and the lady that handles setting up the homecare people. She's worked very nicely with us. The caregiver we have now from that company is on time, cleans, helps my mom change the sheets, cleans the floors and the bathrooms, and heats their dinner. He's never called out. If he had to take a vacation, he gives plenty of notice. Both of my parents like him. It's all good right now. I would recommend them.

    After my Mother's stroke and rehab, we needed to arrange for help with her personal care. JP, the Client Services Manager at Care Advantage, Inc., got right on it and coordinated with our local CA provider to get us signed up right away.     I called in Care Advantage to assist in the care of my 94 year old Mother. Mom was in a healthcare wing of a retirement community following a fall that resulted in several broken ribs and confusion. Care Advantage was to have someone with my Mom 24/7. The first shift was terminated after three hours as the healthcare nursing staff had to send the Care Advantage aide home due to illness. We expressed our concern not knowing what Mom may have been exposed to. This was followed by a number of last minute no shows resulting in partial shifts or no coverage at all. My Mom's healthcare facility alerted me to complaints they had with Care Advantage i.e., Mom was found walking down the hall by herself as the Care Advantage aide was found asleep in my Mom's room. The second complaint was when the resident physical therapist happened into my Mom's room to find my Mom laying on the bathroom floor with the Care Advantage aide only feet away on her phone and unaware of my Mothers situation. This is the second time that I have used Care Advantage. I entered this agreement with the expectation of providing my Mom with additional safety measures. Unfortunately after 21 days I realized that I had taken a challenging situation and made it worse by putting my Mom in the care of Care Advantage.

    Just the two times that I had the caregiver who was pregnant. She just was not able to help out that well. There were times that I had caregivers who could not meet the needs. There was one lady that was pregnant, and she could not help with mobility which was a concern.

    Very unhappy with the scheduler. Unreliable in notifying me when aids are not arriving, sending aids that sit and play on their phones all day. There were many other infractions, but for now, just know, very unreliable.

    His mood greatly increased, and he ate more when she was there. She sat with him and helped cut food for him. I liked the young woman who came the most often. My dad liked her very much. She was very attentive and had great attention to detail. My dad was in a facility where things were going wrong a lot, and she helped keep things on track there. She would alert me when they were not following his care plan or not taking him to lunch.

    It is a big help when we need them. The last one I had was great. However, I ended up with my pots and pans destroyed because they didn't know they weren't supposed to use silverware in them. There was one who didn't know how to vacuum or sweep. She tried hard. I've had good and bad caregivers come from there. A couple of them were really good, and there were a couple of others who didn't know what to do.

    They have been life saving. My mom fell and broke her hip, and we had to leave the state for a wedding. They stayed and helped her while we were gone.     The caregiver cleans and brushes my hair. She also makes sure I take my medicine, and she makes me food to eat. This one girl I have is wonderful. If they were all like her, I would recommend them all the time, but the receptionist is rude.

    They are not that dependable, they don't talk, they aren't compassionate, and they don't provide transportation to doctor appointments. They can be more assertive to the employees, and they don't allow the employees to take me to doctor appointments. Their help isn't that dependable.

    They help her to do basic tasks, like makeup and laundry, and they help her with transportation. They could do a couple little things better. I don't like being billed weekly, I'd rather it be monthly. The way they manage their caregivers isn't great and the hours are rigid. I'm not sure how able the caregiver is to report her hours.

    This is a terribly managed company with rude, unprofessional, and incompetent staff. They will not communicate in a timely manner and leave everything for the last minute. The office staff is combatitive and more interested in arguing with you that offering customer service. Caregivers will take time off and clients will never be notified. Also there seems to be no process to ensure caregivers are able tto perform the functions of their job, the main priority is to fill slots in a schedule. We have have had lazy caregivers who are rarely punctual. We have had caregivers who lack basic personal hygiene. One caregiver did not want to be observed on her first visit by a family member when she was with the patient. She then placed a soiled diaper directly on the floor and when she was informed that was unacceptable she stormed out in an unprofessional manner. You are better off going with a small company that cares more about customer satisfaction.

    I needed help because I had a pretty big surgery, but I had already prepared for most of what was needed because I didn't know I was going to have help. They really didn't have that much to do. The first caregiver that came in pointed at my furniture and told me that they had to go. She turned my table upside down, moved all of my papers, took the table apart, and then sat on the couch and watched things on her phone rather than actually helping. I called the office because I wanted her to be counseled and corrected.

    She helped me bathe, helped me with my wheelchair, and helped me with everything I need. The nurses aid came and she was quite good. When I woke up she cleaned me up, had my breakfast ready, and got me to the store.

    She couldn't function without them. It has a tremendous impact on her. They do a pretty good job at matching the personalities of the caregivers to the clients. Everybody is dressed professionally.

    I needed the help because I had been taking care of my husband myself. When the skilled people came to relieve me, I felt comfortable that I could either rest or do something else that had been put off. The caregivers who came were top notch in being sensitive and skilled to what needed to be done at the time.

    They were available to come for me and it was a lifesaver for me because I am diabetic and my blood sugar was erratic after my surgeries. They made it so that I could stay in my house instead of having to go somewhere else. I did not feel like that I was respected by one of their caregivers who came to assist me because one day she went ahead and opened my blinds, even though I asked her specifically not to.

    Without the services, my mother couldn't live alone. She depends on the services to live alone and be a little bit independent and live at her house still. They're very dependable and their aides are very professional. They are on time, they follow through, and they care. The office communicates well when there is an issue. They're familiar with the schedule and the needs of the patient.

    Care Advantage's quality of service is not that good. I am disappointed on some things. I was once charged for a half an hour of service that I did not have. It's great because I get to get out. I can afford it, too.

    The caregiver has really bonded with me. The caregiver knows my routine and does what needs to be done without being asked. She does the laundry without me asking. The caregivers know what my routine is, and they don't just sit down in a chair and give me advice. I don't mind taking suggestions.
