They come two days a week and that gives me a chance to get out, have some time, and do some errands. They could be a little better with their communication with us. Other than that, they do a good job with what they are here for.

I'm able to get clean. Because of my arthritis, I'm not able to do things like cleaning. They would have to let the clients know earlier when the aide is coming or not coming.

They get him a nutritious meal. Overall, they are doing very well, and we are happy with them. We had one person come in who was on the phone the whole time, but we let the agency know. Hopefully, we don't get him again.

It is a big help when we need them. The last one I had was great. However, I ended up with my pots and pans destroyed because they didn't know they weren't supposed to use silverware in them. There was one who didn't know how to vacuum or sweep. She tried hard. I've had good and bad caregivers come from there. A couple of them were really good, and there were a couple of others who didn't know what to do.

They shouldn't have charged me for four hours when I only needed a shower. They had a minimum requirement. They come when it's convenient for me and it's easy to schedule.

They have been life saving. My mom fell and broke her hip, and we had to leave the state for a wedding. They stayed and helped her while we were gone. I don't know that I could have attended that wedding without them. They are very organized, and I got a lot of calls to organize our schedule. All the individuals that we worked with have been very good.

The caregiver cleans and brushes my hair. She also makes sure I take my medicine, and she makes me food to eat. This one girl I have is wonderful. If they were all like her, I would recommend them all the time, but the receptionist is rude.

They are not that dependable, they don't talk, they aren't compassionate, and they don't provide transportation to doctor appointments. They can be more assertive to the employees, and they don't allow the employees to take me to doctor appointments. Their help isn't that dependable.

They help her to do basic tasks, like makeup and laundry, and they help her with transportation. They could do a couple little things better. I don't like being billed weekly, I'd rather it be monthly. The way they manage their caregivers isn't great and the hours are rigid. I'm not sure how able the caregiver is to report her hours.

This is a terribly managed company with rude, unprofessional, and incompetent staff. They will not communicate in a timely manner and leave everything for the last minute. The office staff is combatitive and more interested in arguing with you that offering customer service. Caregivers will take time off and clients will never be notified. Also there seems to be no process to ensure caregivers are able tto perform the functions of their job, the main priority is to fill slots in a schedule. We have have had lazy caregivers who are rarely punctual. We have had caregivers who lack basic personal hygiene. One caregiver did not want to be observed on her first visit by a family member when she was with the patient. She then placed a soiled diaper directly on the floor and when she was informed that was unacceptable she stormed out in an unprofessional manner. You are better off going with a small company that cares more about customer satisfaction.

We should have gotten in touch with them earlier to let them pick out someone that could do what we wanted them to do. We were traveling to another state and it was a long trip. We needed somebody to be with us on the trip. They were responsive.

They tell me where I need to go because I am blind and they really pay attention to my needs. They tell me what is best for me. All of the caregivers are very experienced, kind, knowledgeable, and the scheduler can always match me with someone that is good with me.

They did nothing for me. They could have gone over the notes from the initial interview and sent me the right person for what I needed. They need better communication with each other. The caregiver didn't even know that I was in a wheelchair. The communication between the nurses and the staff needs to be improved.

She is getting really good care because she cannot do normal routine things on her own and they are providing excellent care. Susanna in the office really cares and is thorough with her paperwork. The caregiver is also very thorough.

I was unable to do anything in the morning, and they would get my breakfast for me and help me take a bath. Later, they helped me with transportation to the doctor. I was unable to do hardly anything the first day, and the person who came on the first day was wonderful.

I needed help because I had a pretty big surgery, but I had already prepared for most of what was needed because I didn't know I was going to have help. They really didn't have that much to do. The first caregiver that came in pointed at my furniture and told me that they had to go. She turned my table upside down, moved all of my papers, took the table apart, and then sat on the couch and watched things on her phone rather than actually helping. I called the office because I wanted her to be counseled and corrected.

They were available to come for me and it was a lifesaver for me because I am diabetic and my blood sugar was erratic after my surgeries. They made it so that I could stay in my house instead of having to go somewhere else. I did not feel like that I was respected by one of their caregivers who came to assist me because one day she went ahead and opened my blinds, even though I asked her specifically not to.

Without the services, my mother couldn't live alone. She depends on the services to live alone and be a little bit independent and live at her house still. They're very dependable and their aides are very professional. They are on time, they follow through, and they care. The office communicates well when there is an issue. They're familiar with the schedule and the needs of the patient.

Care Advantage's quality of service is not that good. I am disappointed on some things. I was once charged for a half an hour of service that I did not have. It's great because I get to get out. I can afford it, too.

The caregiver has really bonded with me. The caregiver knows my routine and does what needs to be done without being asked. She does the laundry without me asking. The caregivers know what my routine is, and they don't just sit down in a chair and give me advice. I don't mind taking suggestions.

Unfortunately, after two months of trying to form a relationshihp with Care Advantage, I had to terminate my contract. This multi-branch agency in my community turned out to be an inconsistent provider of home health services. Care Advantage came highly recommended by our local hospital, so I felt confident they would be reliable and responsible. I needed someone to stay with my mother three mornings a week while I was at work, so the agency sent several individuals for me to interview. I chose a lady named ""Alice,"" who seemed to be bright, related well to my mother, and was willing to do more than just ""babysit"" during the 12-15 hours I needed her. ""Alice"" showed up on time the first day and was great. However, things went downhill from there, when the agency told me ""Alice"" was no longer available, since they had fired her. Care Advantage then proceeded to send me a selection of aides that did not measure up to the original person, ""Alice."" The next aide came 15 minutes late and smelled like cigarette smoke. Then they sent a woman who could not communicate in English. The CNA after that fell asleep while she was supposed to be looking out for my mother ... I found her snoring when I came home from work. After that, I had a young lady who felt that using my perfume, inviting her boyfriend over and talking on her cell phone was all appropriate. This agency did not do a good job screening their applicants, nor did they provide good training to the CNAs. After so many problem aides, I had no choice but to sever my relationship and look for another care provider. When you are paying almost $20 an hour for experienced healthcare support, you expect them to arrive on time, act professional and maintain good hygiene(physically and emotionally). I paid extra to have the aides I hired be able to monitor and dispense medications, but only one of the aides actually followed the care plan. The rest of the workers were content to sit and watch TV and raid my refrigerator. Care Advantage seems to have the ability to provide the basic care that individuals need who are not quite ready for a nursing home. If you are going to engage Care Advantage in a contract, please make sure that they release you go the right place.
