"I want to say how amazing Lakewood has been over the last few weeks. Their safety precautions and restrictions were early and on target, and they have made life in the community pleasant and easy for residents who are self-isolating. My mum's meals are delivered as desired, residents have gotten beautiful free breakfast bags this week, and groceries can be delivered to the security gate and brought up to the residents. Exercise classes - her favorite - have been on the Lakewood TV, so she hasn't had to miss class. Thanks to the excellent management team at Lakewood and Lifespire for the confidence you give me and my family and the care and consideration for our mum!"

"We've chosen Cedarfield. It appears they have all that we need. We simply have a deposit and we know a number of couples and single people that live out there. We feel comfortable, and that is our best selection. We did see a model room of one that we would most likely want to get, and there's a good setup for what we need. The staff is friendly, courteous, and attentive. Another reason we chose it is because it's a continuing care community. We evaluated the living facilities in the future, and that is our best bet. They've continued to reach out to us before we officially joined to give us health or home discussions, and we attended one or two, but it's very nice that they reached out and sent us these letters and things."

"The staff was incredibly polite and helpful, my chess partner suffered from a stroke that left the right side of her body paralyzed, the nurse that helped her was very kind, not condescending at all. The maintenance people were very efficient, unless something had to be ordered, any issue was fixed within minutes. It is however in a very old building, so things seem to break down fairly often. The Sunday service was very pleasant, and the choir is made up of residents of the home. The activities that the residents could participate in included bingo, and any card game you can imagine, from skipbo to spades (and some of those old women were putting down hefty bets.) to gin rummy. They have an excellent physical therapy regimen for my friend, which she says is helping immensely. After a couple chess matches we went down and played in a wii bowling tournament organized by the home, and had tons of fun. Came real close to winning too. Then we ate dinner together - apparently they have a great deal of variety - we had panbroiled lemon chicken with seasoned potatoes. I can't say much about the average meal, but thus one was great. Overall, I would give the Hermitage a 10/10, as would Agatha. RIP. "

"Westminster Canterbury is excellent; the room is decorated really nicely with a pretty carpet. The staff is very nice, smiling, and friendly too. They have a lot of activities for the residents. They have a swimming pool, arts and crafts, exercise classes, choirs, and an auditorium where they have shows and plays. "

"I knew some people at Masonic Home of Virginia, as well as being familiar with the place, so therefore we decided that this would be the place that we would choose for my husband. The staff are very good. I have eaten there a number of times, and the food is good. Their room is spacious enough for everybody. Their rooms are very good. It's a little bit larger than most places. They have a whole bunch of activities, like they have bingo and crafts. They also go on to tours. Actually, they have 25 different activities a week. "
