"We toured The Fairfax. That's interesting because the facility is for the military. It was developed by the Army Retirement Residence Foundation, but it's open now to non-military people. It's very military. All the pictures and things are from the Army or the Navy, something like that. Not all, but most of the people there are former officers in the military or the State Department. The floor plans were lovely. They had lots of classes. There's a nice exercise room. There's a lot of outdoors, there's like 60 acres. They have fitness classes. Everybody gets one meal a day at least depending on what your life care is. They have life care, which is nice to know. We went to an enormous dining room with a buffet. They had sections off where people were sitting in the dining room. They had a beautiful view and they were just sitting in there reading or looking out the window. It was very nice. My biggest thing was it was too formal. For dinner, to go to the dining room, men have to wear a jacket. As for the staff, the one who gave the tour was very good. Some maintenance was being done while we were there, but it's very nice."
