I am/was a resident of this facility

Eat meals with your loved one, lunch and dinner are inedible. The smell alone is a turn off. It is ALWAYS important to know about the food that is served, anywhere. I personally came in taking 4 prescriptions, and in 7 weeks , was on more than 20. I was not well enough to know better. I believe ,I was being dugged to sleep. Something else you should always get copies of, are RX lists. I was using a walker when I arrived, but left in a wheelchair. I fell and cut my brow, and as I laid on the floor, I was actually mocked by employees. Very difficult situation for me. ( I will say I did not see one of them again. ). The rehab staff are nice, honest, and hard workers. The nursing staff is abysmal. I actually caught them making rude comments about my family. I know this sounds like a rant. But, I will never fully recover, from that place. Literally, I lost a dangerous amount of weight. This was spring of 2023.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This place is a joke. Might not be any different from other facilities but don't send your loved one there for acute rehabilitation, and possibly not for skilled nursing care. My father was there at the end of 2022 for acute rehabilitation which was largely nonexistent. This is not about the staff, which is largely caring but grossly unavailable. The place is understaffed. The administration, including the "nurse navigator" position is unresponsive. There is no navigation or coordination of care. This place has been cited before for abuse; I don't think it is abuse; it is just not adequately staffing the facility and allowing the employees to provide care. if your loved ones pressed a button in the room for an emergency, they might see someone in 2 hours. look for some other place to care for your loved one.

I visited this facility

My mother is in Pruithealth - Carolina Point for rehab. I am not satisfied with that place one bit. During that time she was supposed to have her blood pressure checked, and her weight checked. I requested a week ago that she get bloodwork, and they haven't done it. Her mental health is in question. She's confused. What really irritates me is there is no direct line to anybody in the facility. You have to call the main desk and the main desk will send you somewhere. I have no way to contact anybody. There's no telephones in the rooms. If my mom didn't have a cellphone, I wouldn't even know she fell. They did not call me and let me know that she had fallen and gotten hurt. They pretty much let her just do what she wants to do. I don't know who's responsible for her care. She did say the physical therapist was great as far as showing her exercisesm and she is pleased with that. We're not happy. The last visit we had, we had to fight cockroaches, three were in her bedroom. We're not impressed.

My family member is not the easiest person to deal with on a daily basis. All of the staff have been great - very understanding and helpful. They keep me informed.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Please, I beg you please do not send your loved ones here! The staff takes advantage of the fact that the majority of the patients aren’t in a position to make complaints or realize how terrible the conditions are that they are living in. The facility is filthy! It reeks of feces soon as you enter the building. The staff gathers around socializing the majority of the shift. This place needs to be shut down!! The nurses are very lazy!

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am a resident of Pruitthealth and I had my own large, private room with my own television, shower, and commode. I was treated very nicely by the staff. The place is really nice, and you cannot smell any urine or bad odor. If there is something that you don’t like to eat, they will bring you something else. They have different activities that we do every day and a computer room.

I am a friend or relative of resident

I'm not happy with this facility. I have a sister that was sent here after she was released from hospital and the staff hasn't been very helpful nor have they had a caring attitude! The doctor left without seeing my sister and they got her meds messed up and haven't done anything to correct the issue. Needless to say we are currently looking for a new facility to transfer my sister to that actually cares about their patients and can provide professional care. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!
