"I toured Harmony at Greensboro, and it was very nice. The floor plan was open, and people were gathered around in different spots and talking. The staff was very nice and friendly and gave good information. I noticed that a couple of the residents were involved in physical therapy for some injury they had, and other people were having coffee and sitting around talking. They have a menu up for every day. The way the food works is that you can pick one meal a day, either lunch or dinner, that you want to have there, which is supplied."

"My client is at Kerner Ridge. It is a very nice place. It is very, very clean. The staff is excellent. They have assisted living and Alzheimer's units. My client has a good size room. It has a private bath. They also have an area that is separate from their normal bathrooms that they could get into a deep soaked tub, kind of a therapy whirlpool. That is pretty interesting too. I thought that was surprising. They have multiple things going on every single day. I have seen a lot of different people doing arts and crafts. They have a huge arts and crafts room. They will have lots of different people that will come in and bring their guitars. They have like daytrips where they will take them where they want to go. However, my client has never participated in that. "

"Carolina House is a very friendly and warm environment. The food is half and half. Some days are good, some days aren't. I'm very impressed with the staff so far. All our needs have been met. My mom likes it a lot when they do activities. She stays really busy. They've gone to the zoo, done shopping at Walmart, done different things at the library, and they cooked cupcakes the other day. They're having a fashion show tomorrow. The place is nice, bright, and sunny and never smells. "

"Brookdale Lawndale Drive was a very nice facility. I was impressed with it. The staff seemed to be very caring and compassionate. The one person who I talked to was very caring. I saw a room and was very pleased with it. It was clean and bigger than what I was expecting. I was there during lunch, and they fixed me food to go that was very good. "

"The reason I chose Spring Arbor Of Greensboro for my mother is because they're very caring and very attentive. When we went there, we thought it wasn't a possibility because of the price, and they worked with us. They just showed more compassion. The place is excellent. If she falls, they immediately call me, they keep me up to date, and they are very attentive to her and her needs. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff is excellent, and after I have been there for a period of time, they make a conference with you, they tell you their evaluation of your loved one, and tell you what needs to be done. You couldn't ask for a better service. My mother is a picky eater but what she says is that the food is great, but the desserts are wonderful. It's very clean, when you drive up to it, they have lots of fresh plants that are blooming so it's very inviting. You don't see trash around it. They have bingo, exercise class, my mom hasn't participated much yet because she had to go into quarantine. They also have 2 activities director. When I went there, I saw a dance class where the older ladies were taking part in it. I personally think they're all very expensive, but this place is lower priced. And what you get for your money is so much more. She got a big living area where she's able to have a little kitchenette, chair, living room, a good sized bedroom and bathroom, and cabinets."

"Very Blessed to have such a loving and caring STAFF that truely put the Resident’s First by knowing each one of them and truely loving them. This is just not a job they do. It takes Special Individuals to do this kind of work and each and everyone of them take this to HEART when it comes to their residents the Staff just don’t look at these individuals as residents they are Family. . "The people at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care were very friendly, and the place was really nice. There were people sitting outside and there were people helping them. They had a lot of activities every day, and we saw their menu. We didn't taste any food, but it looked good, and the choices looked nice. They had a lot of snacks, they had an activity room. The people that we saw looked happy."

"My mom has moved into Mary's House Family Care Home. We chose them because of the size; there are only four residents. My mom is still confused as to why she's there, but we're working on that. But so far, it seems to be good. She enjoyed the food, so I think it's fine. She has her own room there, it's just a small setting and it's nice. It's winter, so there's not a whole lot of outdoor activity at this time. However, when it's been nice, they have gone outside. She has not complained about the food. It's a very nice facility. I think they're all way overpriced, but the last place she was at, for what they charge, she got minimal care."

"The ease of moving my mother to Cadence Clemmons was great. They were very gracious on our timeline. The staff seems very happy and interested in their jobs. The activities are great. There's enough variety for my mother, and the room with the small kitchenette is amazing. They have a nice screen porch. The food is very good. Portions are perfect for the residents. They have movie nights and a plant potting event. She likes that. They also have live music once a month. It's our top pick, and it's got great value."

"We placed my aunt in Clemmons Village II. It was very attractive and very appealing. The staff are long time staff. They are very friendly. It is clean. Other patients gave good reviews. They have six levels of care, and my aunt is level four. They offer amenities. I believe they have a hairdresser there. I know they have podiatry there. They'll do laundry; it's included. Cable is included. They have the usual activities that you find in those places. They offer residents activities, things to do, places to go, and all that."

"We went to Harmony at Brookberry Farm. It's nice and new. I think it's three years old. The apartments are very cute. They have some architectural features that are not seen in any other apartments. But they only had a very small kitchen, and where it was located was not ideal. It's right by a school. It was just kind of on the outer rim of where we wanted to stay. All the things were very nice though. They had two elevators. It's newer compared to all the other ones that we've seen. They have a library, a little gym, and a theater. It was very nice, but it just wasn't a fit for us. The staff who assisted me was very nice."

"We toured Walnut Ridge Assisted Living. I like the camaraderie of the people there, and I like the efficiency of the personnel. We got very good information from, I think, the HR person there. We were very impressed with that one, but the staff was telling us what the situation was with us, and as it stood, my sister's rates were going to be about the same as what we have where she's currently staying. As for food service, we did not eat there, but we were impressed with the facilities, and the people that we talked to love the food. As I understood it, they got three meals per day. They had various sizes of rooms, and we thought they were very good sizes. They had single rooms; it was very good. That's a very good facility. At the time, they were having a sing-along for activities. They had a bulletin board showing upcoming activities. It looks like the place is very active."

"We visited Brookdale Burlington. Our first impression walking in was a very homey feel to it. They had a very small resident count. So it felt a little bit more personal and intimate. The staff was a very pleasant person, very thorough with her descriptions and the sales presentation. They did have a courtyard and a little garden, and they're beginning to build a raised bed now."
