"I am very happy with the Brian Center Eden and for their caring staff as I was trying to find a place for my mother. They were so very helpful from the admin staff to the nurses making her transition effortless. Rooms are spacious and upgrades to the facility are going on to make it even better. The nurses are very nice and patient when mom has a bad day. She loves the activities from bingo, painting pictures to getting her nails painted. It is the little things in life that make a patients day and they go above and beyond to make that happen for them. I feel very comfortable talking to the staff about my mom and they make me feel welcome when I go to visit her. I am very blessed to have my mom at the Brian Center Eden."

"Penn Nursing Center was very clean, and there was no smell of urine. The staff was attentive to the patients. The rooms were clean and neat. They are part of the hospital system. I didn’t see any problems with it. The grounds were very well-maintained, very secure, and easy to get to. "

"My mom has been staying at Avante at Reidsville. She's doing great and the place is awesome. It's easy to go around, but the place has a smell down the hall. My mom does a lot of physical therapy and all the women love her. She is babied and they dote on her. Pat, the nurse, is just awesome, and does everything for my mother. She's great and we're very happy. They have a library, workout room, a room where you can just go to sit, talk, and watch TV, and a really nice dining room. They also have a salon where she can get her hair and nails done, and she's really happy about that."

"Jacobs Creek is top notch. They love their patients. I have a family member there. They go above and beyond. They treat residents like family. I’ve recently seen, firsthand how another Nursing Home in the area treated their residents. I would not put my family member anywhere else."

"I visited this facility in April 2012 to see my aunt. She was on the South end of the facility. I found everyone there to be very friendly. The receptionist at the door greeted us and knew exactly what room my aunt was in. As we walked down the hall, the area smelled like what could have possibly been dirty diapers or human odor. I'm sure that that's common in facilities such as this, and I only smelled it on my way in and not my way out. My aunt was in good spirits and said everyone there had been real nice to her. She had just finished eating and said the food wasn't too bad considering where she was. We stayed about an hour or so until my cousin came in to visit and as I had my wife and four children with me which was a room full in a semi private room, I politely excused us and we made our way back to the front. All the nurses and aides seemed friendly and played with my children. The facility did appear clean throughout. All in all, if I had to go to a facility of this nature, I believe I would like it to be this one. "

"My mother-in-law is staying in Mulberry Creek Nursing & Rehab Center, and I think it's pretty good. Their visiting is limited because of the pandemic. It's very hard to make a judgment about the nursing care or anything that I've observed, but I will tell you that she seems to be pleased with the nursing care. The nurses are always prompt and call me to let me know if there have been any changes, if they've changed any medication, or if she's not feeling well. I've been very pleased with that. You can only visit for 30 minutes twice a week, so it's kind of hard to judge what's going on, but she seems to be comfortable and taken care of. We've had very little interaction with the staff, but they do call me and let me know if there are changes in her condition. They're very positive, very accurate, and they're very kind."

"The facility was pretty nice and I was actually surprised. It reminded me of a nicer hotel. It was very clean and organized. The apartment/suite my grandmother was staying in was very nice and had a mini kitchen area so if she didn't want to use the cafeteria she could stay in her room and make something. They also had arranged transportation so if residents didn't drive they could still get a ride to places they needed to go. It was very structured and there were many activities available for the residents to get involved in. The residents had pretty nice amenities such as cable, internet, transportation, a built in cafeteria, and medical support. There are only two areas that could have been better. The food wasn't very good in my opinion, and was very bland and flavorless overall. Also, the library/computer room did not have enough/updated computers for the residents to use. It could be that a lot of the older residents aren't interested in using the computers, but I would think in this day and age most of the residents might be more familiar with technology than ever before. My overall opinion is that this is a good facility for your loved ones to attend. The residents are very well taken care of, comfortable and safe and you can't ask for more than that! "

"This facility is overall a great place. They try extremely hard to make there patients and family members feel at home. The facility is very clean and the staff is very friendly. My grandmother has been a patient at Stanleytown for about 3 months. I never have to worry that she is being taken care of. Stanleytown also houses a rehabilitation facility that treats patients recovering from various injuries and traumas. The positive energy and devotion of the rehab staff is an inspiration. While my grandmother has been at Stanleytown I have been able to whitness firsthand how dedicated the staff of the rehab department are and have been amazed at how much her physical strength and mental awareness has improved. I would recommend Stanleytown Healthcare to anyone who was looking for a nice, clean, and safe place for their loved one. "

"I went to visit a friend in Riverside Health & Rehab Center. Everything was kind of tight. It was just OK. There wasn't anything special about it. It was clean. The staff was friendly, but it just didn't make you feel happy there. Everything was close together. It was just not a place where I would feel comfortable with my loved one there, it just seemed like just the place to be. They have physical therapy. They have a beautician. They have some activity. They provide transportation to doctor's visits and such."

"The rehab facility where my wife is at is called The Stratford Rehabilitation Center. My wife has been pleased with it and I have been satisfied with it. They have been most accommodating. My wife has gotten a lot of therapy there. The therapy has just been most helpful, both physical and occupational. Although it is an older site, and it needs to be rehabilitated in my opinion, but I have no complaints about it. My wife was sick when she went there, and they accommodated her very well, serving her needs. With the staff that they have, I have no complaints about them whatsoever. They attempt to respond to emergency calls, and I have seen that not only with my wife but with others as well. So I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and their services. "

"I have accompanied my husband on several occasions to this nursing home when his parents were both staying here for rehabilitation purposes. During each instance, their stay was approximately for thirty to forty-five days. I observed the staff to be very friendly and attentive to their needs. At times, my mother-in-law could be very difficult and demanding to some of the nursing staff at this facility. Nevertheless, they were always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that they had all the snacks that were requested from the cafeteria and any other necessities. The amenities of this facility were more than adequate for the needs of my in-laws. They had a calendar posted in the rooms with daily activities and religious ceremonies that were held at the facility. The facility was not as attractive as some of the others in the area, but appeared to be clean and orderly during my visits. Overall, I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone considering nursing home placement for their loved one. "

"Countryside Village had a very good schedule of activities but I didn't even consider it because I needed more help than they had lined up. It was more independent than I was prepared to move to. They didn't have a studio apartment. That's what I was looking for. The staff was friendly and helpful in getting me around. It was a good and clean facility. "

"I went there to see a relative,at first I was concerned because of all of the bad things you hear. But I found out that not only do they provide care, but they also provide therapy,on site doctor care, timely meals, and activities to keep the patients occupied and entertained, they have a huge facility now as more has been added on,and they have also added a lot more staff, which is a good thing because some of them actually care about the patients not just about the job,I personally think that it does not take the place of in home car,but if the situation requires a facility the best thing to do is research and go into them and get a first hand bird's eye view of what they do and how they treat the patients and of course get to know the staff "

"My brother-in-law has been in Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation Center for three weeks now. They have really been good to him, and we have been pleased with his care so far. The staff were very nice. He has been in a private room. They have activities, but he doesn't go. I know they had bingo. I didn't read the calendar, but I knew someone was going to bingo and to different things. It's for really sick people, so I don't think many of them go activities that much. It needs to be updated. As much as they're charging compared to other places, they need to have updated rooms instead of broken down pieces of furniture and stuff. The rooms are so small, so when you have to share, you can't hardly move in there. I don't agree with how small those rooms are. I don't think they're very good with activities. The advantage of it is being close to home. They're too expensive compared to other facilities. This is just convenient to us and near home, but I would not want to live there. They don't get bathed when they're supposed to get a bath. The floor is not as clean as it should be. We do keep his room cleaned, but he doesn't get a bath when he's supposed to. When he first went, the food looked good for a week. After that, it went way downhill, and I don't know what happened there. It smelled like poop every time you go in the door. Ventilation is not very good, he said."

It has a swimming pool. It's hard to beat that. It was very clean. The cafeteria was very nice. It was very pleasant. Everybody there was pleasant and was very willing to talk and give me all the information I wanted."

"This facility is definitely one of the best in the area. The physical therapy department is incredible and our family member showed significant progress during their stay here. The new Administrator has made many positive changes to both the staff and the level of care, and I truly believe my father is in good hands. The nurses are knowledgeable, attentive, and the express the level of care you want your loved ones to be provided with. "

"My mom is a resident of Heartland Living & Rehabilitation. I would say that the staff there is excellent. Just great people. I was there last year, and everybody there was great and helpful. They're always asking their questions if they need anything. They're on top of it. Especially her social worker, Carolyn, is just a wonderful woman. She is just great. She is on top of it. The nursing home is older, but it was clean. I didn't see anything really out of place. I witnessed some of the older folks doing their physical therapy, and some of them were in a big dining area. They weren't really eating, they were like playing games, everybody was co-mingling. It's an older facility, but other than that, the physical appearance on the inside was fine, and the staff was super nice and super attentive. The rooms looked really neat, too. The place wasn't worn and torn and torn down looking or anything like that. I'm going to give them a five strictly because of how attentive the staff is. They're just excellent. My mother loves it. They do her hair and her nails and everything, so she loves it. She also loves their food. I think she thinks she's getting the most bang for the buck."
