We visited King's Grant. They had one nurse on duty at night. They didn't have a way of keeping their dementia patients confined. Based on what we told them about my mother-in-law, we got the very distinct impression that they were not interested in trying to take care of her. Their independent and assisted living facilities were nice, but the memory care is just not there.

Kings Grant has a good reputation; people speak well of them. They seemed to be very friendly and helpful and answered all the questions you need. The staff was very friendly and nice too.

Mom lived at King's Grant for 13 years and she will turn 90 in December. It is 4 hours away from me but she's much better cared for there. The staff is fabulous. Most of them had been there for a good length of time, they love working there and they love serving the elderly. The place is clean and always smells lovely. The rooms are well done and taken care of. Everything is just where you would want your mom to be.

The rooms at Kings Grant Retirement Community were adequate. The dining room was beautiful and the kitchen was nice. The people were nice. They have a much smaller resident ratio to the staff. There were more people working there than there are in the average assisted living, but you pay for that attention. The staff were very professional. They have RN, LPN, as well as CNA.

King's Grant is a very nice assisted living facility. The residents who live there can feel proud bringing a friend or family member over. There are many amenitites available for the residents and their guests. There is a cafeteria style dinning area that serves three meals a day that guests can take part in as well. There is a nice library with a good collection of books. They also have computers with internet access which I found to be very helpful when visiting. There are activities available for the residents to participate in, but they don't have to if they don't choose to participate. The best part is that the residents have their own apartments so they are not forced to share their rooms or their privacy with anyone else. If something happens to a resident's health, they have medical professionals on site to take care of them. This facility is one of the best that I have seen, and they really do a good job of creating a nice dignified environment for their guests.

The facility was pretty nice and I was actually surprised. It reminded me of a nicer hotel. It was very clean and organized. The apartment/suite my grandmother was staying in was very nice and had a mini kitchen area so if she didn't want to use the cafeteria she could stay in her room and make something. They also had arranged transportation so if residents didn't drive they could still get a ride to places they needed to go. It was very structured and there were many activities available for the residents to get involved in. The residents had pretty nice amenities such as cable, internet, transportation, a built in cafeteria, and medical support. There are only two areas that could have been better. The food wasn't very good in my opinion, and was very bland and flavorless overall. Also, the library/computer room did not have enough/updated computers for the residents to use. It could be that a lot of the older residents aren't interested in using the computers, but I would think in this day and age most of the residents might be more familiar with technology than ever before. My overall opinion is that this is a good facility for your loved ones to attend. The residents are very well taken care of, comfortable and safe and you can't ask for more than that!
