I have accompanied my husband on several occasions to this nursing home when his parents were both staying here for rehabilitation purposes. During each instance, their stay was approximately for thirty to forty-five days. I observed the staff to be very friendly and attentive to their needs. At times, my mother-in-law could be very difficult and demanding to some of the nursing staff at this facility. Nevertheless, they were always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that they had all the snacks that were requested from the cafeteria and any other necessities. The amenities of this facility were more than adequate for the needs of my in-laws. They had a calendar posted in the rooms with daily activities and religious ceremonies that were held at the facility. The facility was not as attractive as some of the others in the area, but appeared to be clean and orderly during my visits. Overall, I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone considering nursing home placement for their loved one.

My father stayed in Piney Forest. It was horrible. It was not clean. They did not take care of my father very well at all. As a matter of fact, my mother went there every morning about 7 o'clock, and she stayed with him all day long until he went to bed at night. The staff's work ethic was OK. The problem was they were short staffed to the point where they didn't have enough people to take care of the number of patients that they had. He didn't attend to any activities because he had Parkinson's disease, and he was bedridden. I wouldn't recommend Piney Forest to anybody. I heard that they had improved, but I don't know.
