"I visited Brookdale Green Hills. It was great, and I really liked the place. However, it was a little far from my family, and it was very expensive. It was like walking into a hotel, the tour was very nice, and they had several types of rooms. It depends on how much space you want. They had a 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and a studio apartment. It's a small apartment, with a living room/kitchen area together, and the bathroom and bedroom separate. They had a small snack bar where you could get light breakfast in the morning, an exercise room, and a computer room. The staff I met was very friendly."

"We toured The Rivers at Maryland Farms. It's a beautiful location, and I love the facility, and I love the girl who was walking us through the facility. Everybody was so sweet and kind. They all seemed happy. We had an opportunity to talk to some people who lived there, and they were very pleased with the facility, but it was a 45-minute drive from us, which was just a little too far. We met with Sidney, the admissions director, and Katie, the activities director. They were all just as sweet as could be. The facilities were amazing. They had monitors on the floor that detect a fall, and then the cameras in the rooms would have picked up on that motion detectors once they determined that somebody fell, and they would be able to get to them a lot quicker. That was a great selling point. The rooms were beautiful. The rooms are well maintained and taken care of, and they have all their in-house staff for cleaning."

"My friend went to Brookdale Goodlettsville Memory Care. It is excellent. They have caring people. It's a good and clean facility. They are doing some really good memory work with the clientele. We chose it because I thought it was a better community than the others. The rooms are adequate sizes. The facility is bright and clean, and there's no smell. Each time that I've been down there, they had activities going on for the residents. One time, there was a game they were playing. The two other times, they had singing. They have a beauty parlor. The dining area is very nice. It has tables and chairs, and there seems to be plenty of space between them."

"I toured Brookdale Goodlettsville Assisted Living. It was a nice place. I liked it. The rooms were very nice. I guess they could be considered one-bedroom apartments. The staff who gave the tour was nice. I liked her. I don't know about the food, but the dining area was nice. The place was nice. If my sister were able to stay there, I'm sure they would consider it. However, she is not qualified because she can't stand up, and she can't transfer from the bed to the wheelchair and vice versa."

"I really like them. It was newly remodeled, so the rooms were big and airy. I like the shower because it was a total roll-in zero entry shower. They have a bigger refrigerator there than the other place we saw and I like that idea. I just didn't like that it's larger than the other places, so it would be farther for my dad to get around and he's on a walker. But it was clean, the people were friendly, it's nice and the staff members were very nice. They had a big dining area. It was nice and clean with lots of room for people to socially distance when they come down to eat."

"We toured Windlands South. I loved it. It's just that I can't afford it. It was extremely clean. They had a library, game rooms, and TV rooms. It is all meals included. They had weekly cleaning, a gym, and a planting garden. The rooms were wonderful, and there was nothing at all wrong. It's just a little bit on my budget. It's a great bargain if you've got enough money. So, it was food, all utilities, the cable, and all those services for $3,000. It's too far up. I can't afford that. It's a gated community. Everyone we spoke with was exceptionally friendly. I saw their menu, and it looked like it was very good."

"When I got to Harmony at Brentwood, the staff was kind of in the middle of something, but she took time out to show me the area and show me a room and show me the different amenities they got there, so it was excellent. The room was very nice and very spacious. She showed me different floor plans. She took me to a room where they had little meetings and where you can have birthday parties and stuff for the resident. I didn't get to see much of the outdoor space. What I've seen mainly was the front part, but she told me she wanted me to come back with my mother, to call her and let her know, and she would be more than glad to show me more of the place. They had a little area where residents can go and have their breakfast and just mingle. It seemed excellent, and it was one of the newer facilities. The dining area was nice. She took me to the hair salon where the residents can get their hair and nails done."

"I toured Cloverland Park Senior Living. They do a wonderful job. It's a great place. It is conveniently located. It's a newer facility, so everything is fresh in it. The room I saw was a roomy studio compared to what my mom is in now. So the studio was nicer, the bathrooms nicer, and it had a full-size refrigerator. The staff was very helpful. The building was outstanding. The outdoor space is wonderful. It was set up very privately. It's large and it has a little putting green. It has all kinds of places just to sit around outdoors like a television and a fireplace. The outside space is very nice."

"American House in Brentwood was a very, very nice facility. The staff seemed warm and caring. The executive director gave me a tour and I felt very confident that she cared about the residents. They have a physical therapy room, a nice courtyard that the residents could go and sit in, and a room where there was a piano."

"Everybody at Brookdale Clarksville was nice. The rooms were clean. Everything was good. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. They were playing bingo while I was there. They also have a spa, a courtyard, a beauty and barbershop, and a little room to watch TV."

"My mother is in Vitality Living Franklin. It's the right size community. Not too small, not too big. The services are there to meet her needs and the staff is concerned with her well-being. The main area of the assisted living is kind of hardwood and their bedroom is carpeted. They have things and refrigerators and that sort of stuff. They have whatever the residents are looking for. They kind of pull the residents and some of the high school folks come over to do some of their performances from the Franklin High School as well as just general bingo and elderly calisthenics and that sort of stuff. I've eaten there and the food was pretty good on the assisted living side. On the memory care side, it could improve. Value seems to be on par with everybody else."

"We toured Charter Senior Living of Franklin and we loved it. It was just really beautiful, modern, and well-maintained. The staff was very caring and professional. The people that we met were just great. The rooms were not huge, but sufficient, modern, and ready to go. We saw the menu and it looked good."

"I visited the Holiday Uffelman Estates. It's an independent living community, but they have a program that will allow assisted living services to come in. The place was nice. They weren't as big as the others, but the cleanliness was good, and they were doing some remodeling. The reason I didn't pick it was because they didn't have assisted living, and we had to hire somebody to do that. The person who took me around did a great job. Meals were also included, and I believe it was three times a day."

"I toured Red Cedar Glen. The lady who gave me the tour was a 5. There's a shared bathroom, but if you need assistance, you can only get one side of the bedroom because the walkway isn't accessible on the other side. However, overall, the community was very positive and happy there."
