"It was very good. I liked the fact that they had some rooms with a terrace. They had little areas to sit outside that mom could go into. It was very nice; it was one of my choices if they could help me take care of mom’s care. "

"My parents have moved in, and it's good so far. They're in the same unit, and my mother is getting her higher level of care. They're more cheerful than what they had before. Their apartment is nice, and we got everything set up. It's good sized and more than adequate for them. It's a 2-room unit with a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette area. Everyone was very nice. Nursing care is very timely in bringing their medications. They said the food is good. They are planning to do some updates, new carpet and things like that."

"We looked here. We took a visual tour of the facility and amenities, we were introduced to some of the staff, and we had a professional review of what assisted living would provide and things like that. It was a good review and we liked it, but my wife doesn't want to go into assisted living at this point. It's a relatively small center with just a single level, and they had really pleasant staff."

"Deane Hill Place has a facility that tries to recreate the character of the person. They have a simulation of kitchens for those who cook, but because it's a memory care home, it's not a real kitchen. They have them reflect on what they used to do. They also have workspaces for gardening for those who like to go out or used to garden. They ask for a history of what the person did and their hobbies, so they may do it during their activities time. They do many things to make sure that the residents keep their dignity and character. They also have courtyards for games. However, my father may have benefited more if he were in the assisted living section versus the memory care section because they treat them more independent in the memory care unit. There needs to be more interaction and they aren't as social. I love his apartment. It has a very spacious room and big windows. I like that there are rails in the restroom that you can hold on to and he has a choice to sit or stand in his shower. It's not a step-in shower, but an open floor with some drainage. They also have buttons in their rooms and the showers, so if there's anything that they need, they can quickly press the button and the staff will come running."

"I moved my mother into StoryPoint a few months ago as her memory loss and general age required a higher level of care. The transition has been great. The facility has recently been renovated, but much of the staff has been there for a long time and are wonderful. My mother has been happy and it has been a tremendous relief for me. The staff really cares! I can't recommend StoryPoint more."

"We saw Meadow View for my parents. The place was really nice. The staff was exceptional. The rooms were great and of a perfect size with very large bathrooms and very large closets. Meadow View was a really nice place. "

"Northshore Senior Living was very nice and brand new, but very expensive. I toured their memory care unit and that looked like an appropriate setting. The grounds were nice. The location was not as good for me, but somebody else might like it."

"It was a beautiful facility. The lady who gave us the tour was very nice and very informative."

"Wellington Manor of Knoxville was clean. The only thing that I noticed is that they might have been short of help, but I think many places run into that. The living spaces were great, and the rooms were set up good. They can bring their own furniture. The kitchen looked clean. The staff members were very helpful and very courteous, but it appeared that they were very busy, and sometimes, residents had to wait."

"My mom is in independent living at South Knoxville Senior Living. I'm very pleased with it. She is settling in well. The only improvement I could see would be in the dietary part because, with my mom's diabetes, they are kind of heavy on carbohydrates, but that's my only concern. The staff members are friendly, engaged, and responsive to my mom. It's newly remodeled and kept clean. Regarding activities, my mom has reported that she enjoyed them."

"Trinity Hills of Knoxville was OK. Caroline, the girl who took us on the tour, was fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly. She was great. The rooms were a little more basic and plain."

"The rooms in The Courtyards were good, an adequate size, and easy to get around in. They had lots of activities, but it seemed there were people that needed more help. We weren't as impressed with the person who toured us. They had a nice central dining area with activity rooms next to it. "

"My wife has been in Patriot Hills Assisted Living Facility since August last year. They're awesome, and she's very happy there. The staff is wonderful. They treat her like family. The food is great. The dining area is an open area. They have good and nutritious meals every time. The room has a bathroom. It has a TV. There's two beds, and she has a roommate. It's very clean and updated. It's really good. My wife needs her hair dyed regularly, and one of the workers that does her hair. They also do her nails. They're terrific. They watch movies a lot. My wife has dementia. She can't do too much of that. The place is terrific. They do an amazing job. I can call her anytime I want to. It's one of the least expensive places I've found."

"My father is at Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley. He went to the memory care. It's been excellent. They have very caring people, and so far we are very pleased. It's an excellent facility. It's brand new, so it's very nice. It's very clean. They have a salon, physical therapy, and OT. They have everything that he needed. The activities are very good. They keep him out and about and busy all the time. The value for money is very good."
