"Northshore Senior Living was very nice and brand new, but very expensive. I toured their memory care unit and that looked like an appropriate setting. The grounds were nice. The location was not as good for me, but somebody else might like it."

"I thought it was very nice and very attractive. The staff seemed wonderful and caring. I was really pleased with it and would be one that I would consider. The rooms were not huge, but they were nice, and I thought they were adequate. "

"My mom moved into Trinity Hills of Knoxville. It's more like a family. Everybody kind of helps everybody else, not just the staff, but also the people that are in it. It's excellent. Her room feels more like an apartment, because it has a kitchenette, kitchen cabinets on top and bottom, even though it only has a microwave, and a small fridge. It has a sink, which is nice. The activities are awesome. They do breakfast, two activities, lunch, and then two more activities, and then dinner. Sometimes they have church, once during the week, and on the weekends, but they also have the gospels in the morning, which is very important to us with Mom's faith. The weekends are a little bit more like that. They do breakfast, lunch, dinner, but they have bingo on Saturday and then they have Sunday school Bible study and worship on Sunday. She gets dessert for lunch and dinner. They offer sugar free. She's diabetic, so that's important and she loves it. We had a meal there and it was really good."

"My mom has been at Autumn Care since before COVID. They are family owned, which is great, but there were some struggles during the pandemic with staffing. The owners seem like lovely people and in the past year they have really turned it around with more reliable and compassionate caregivers, nurses, and management. The building is beautiful, the food is better than most places, and it doesn't have that corporate feel like a lot of the bigger places do. Overall we are really happy and feel that mom is in good hands. "

"The staff at The Pointe at Lifespring was so nice and accommodating to me. It's a new place and it looks so nice. They set the move-in date and I had furniture delivered over there already. They worked with me in such a gracious way, so I am really impressed. The room is really like an apartment with a refrigerator, a place for a microwave, a little table, bedroom, and bathroom."

"Wellington Manor of Knoxville was clean. The only thing that I noticed is that they might have been short of help, but I think many places run into that. The living spaces were great, and the rooms were set up good. They can bring their own furniture. The kitchen looked clean. The staff members were very helpful and very courteous, but it appeared that they were very busy, and sometimes, residents had to wait."

"It was very impressive. The staff was very friendly and very open; it was nice. We weren't able to try the food because they were taking extreme steps on lockdown for Covid. Everything is just nice about this facility. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very modern."

"I moved into The Groves at Oak Ridge. There's a lot of people around my age, and there's some activities. They have a small bus equipped with the handicapped lift, and we go to a museum close by, and then stores like Walmart. The apartments are big enough. They have everything you need. The food is excellent. Breakfast is pretty much the same, but the other meals are very diverse. They're all very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. No problems."

"It was very nice. They decorated it for Christmas at the time. We saw the ground floor where the meals were served. There's an elevator and we went up to the second floor to see one of the rooms and they were very nice. They have a really neat movie room where people can have movie nights on a big screen (that was cool!) They also exercise and have pedicures and manicures. All the rooms had microwaves, but three meals a day were served."

"Everyone at Alexander Guest House (The Guest House at Alexander Inn) was so gracious. I would have moved into this place myself. I brought my girlfriend, and we were in awe. We were just so excited and impressed. The manager was so gracious and welcoming and showed us the best of the best. It did not have independent living, though. "

"I like Brookdale Sandy Springs, but it was just larger for my mom. The rooms were nice, and I know they have activities and extra services for my mom. I had nothing against them at all. "

"The Courtyards Senior Living was extremely nice. The staff was extremely helpful, educating me of how their facilities works. The young lady that I spoke with was very good. They had open dining which I really liked. They offered a lot of interactions between all of the people. They had people come in, and they had games; they had a lot of things that they offered. They were very open, very free with people that they were working with and allowed them to take for themselves even though they were still in the assisted living. They felt like they were at home, and that was one of the things I was very impressed with. "

"One of my friends' husbands was at Prosperity Pointe, so I had been there for Thanksgiving last year. It's the place that he wound up going because it was a VA facility. They didn't do virtual tours live because of privacy issues. I know somebody who is there now also. They are very well organized, very caring, and very efficient. They're taking videos of the spouse during this COVID so the person at home knows what's going on. It looks nice enough, but it's not fancy. It's not as pretty as the other place, but the caring that I know for a fact of the people who work there is excellent."

"My father is at Arbor Terrace. He is close to my sister. This place is lovely. I would highly recommend it. They have activities, and there is very little turnover in the staff. They know my father. He feels very much loved by them. "
