"My mom moved into Ridge Manor Residential Memory Care - Canton. It's working out well. She's been there for three days now, but it's a nice home and family environment with competent and friendly caregivers. They have private rooms. They have a coordinator who does activities with them, brings an ice cream truck out, does karaoke music, and things like that. The facility is in great condition. They have home-cooked meals."

"Kennesaw Village was small but was very nice. The room they showed us for Mom was also fairly small, and at the time it would have been OK because she's not mobile. Chloe showed us around and she was very helpful. The dining area was really nice. As soon as you come into the foyer, it's right there. It's a nice set up, and then they had the menu posted where you can read it. They showed us the activity room and different things that they have set up for the people there. They had a little van so they could take the people if they needed to run and purchase things. I also met the nurse. Even though they found out that we wouldn't be staying, they still spoke with us and told us about the facility. To me, the facility looked like it was remodeled. They had hardwood floors and everything like that. We would have to bring our stuff there. They didn't have the items there for you. You will bring your own, like a bed and a chair."

"We toured Canterfield of Kennesaw. My mother-in-law just liked it. When she walked in, she said she felt like she was at home. She felt good. She just has a feeling, and like the other place she didn't care for, but the Canterfield, when she walked in, she said, "Oh, I like this place." It was nice. The people were very friendly. The room was lovely, and they all had things to do, so we liked it. They had movies every day. They have bingo, puzzle time, and games. They have an arts and crafts room, happy hour, and trivia. They have a daily workout. They take a trip to Walmart. You can just sign up, and they'll take you shopping. Then they have church services for a couple of different denominations. They have a library, a puzzle room, a barber, and a beauty shop."

"It was lovely. It was very nice. We liked it a lot. The residents there seemed comfortable, and they were nice, too. They didn't have anything bad to say about the place. They have in-room adjustable air conditioning and heaters. They have the usual adult living rooms that are convenient for the residents with a shower and closet space. They have a refrigerator and an area to put your coffee pot, that sort of thing. It was spotless. They have a large dining area as well."

"I met with a woman named Michelle at Bellevue Village at Neese Road and she was phenomenal. She was very kind and empathetic, but not overly. She gave me the tour and the facility is very clean. The staff was interacting with the residents. It was very nice. Now they're under renovation and it's their memory care area that was getting it, but I can look ahead and see what their vision is and I think it'll be very nice when they're done. They had a very open dining area and it seemed to accommodate activities as well, which is a good thing, because then you have a lot more activities going on. They had a courtyard that was very nicely fenced. It had large trees beyond that. So, it gave a feeling of being kind of in the country or outdoorsy, which is something my husband needs. It has a nice little walkway. Everything seemed very secure. Their menus looked very good. There were a lot of smiling faces when we were there. Everybody spoke to me and they would excuse themselves. Like if they were talking to a resident, they would tell them first that they were going to talk to me. I thought that was a nice touch."

"My brother moved in here. It's a very good place. I'm very happy with them. They're very good staff. They work well with their residents. It may be an older building, but it's one of the nicest places I've been in. I find it to be a very great place for my brother. When I first walked into this facility, the first thing they did was show me a facility that was not brand new but had caring, smiling people who had been there for a while. They had staff that's been with them for years. This had people that cared about what they were doing. They had something very fun. It was nothing cold there. Everything was about the warmth. They have now brought in some other things that they are working with that the residents need, like a gym. They have a salon. Two days a week, they take them out for shopping."

"We toured Oaks at West Cobb. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was great. They're all very kind and welcoming, and they speak to my mother-in-law. They ask her what she wants. They're not just talking to me. They're talking to her, which is good because just because she's older doesn't mean she doesn't have her own opinion. I appreciated that, and I'm sure she did too. Their dining program looked very nice. They have a menu where you can choose what you want."

"My husband has been here for two weeks now. It's a very nice place, and the food is great. Everybody seems to be good to him. The staff is fine; they're doing well. His room has a small kitchenette in it with a refrigerator, a sink, and a countertop with some cabinets. It has a huge closet and a nice bathroom. It's a nice, big room. They have a large room out there with a big TV in it, but I don't think they have activities right now, probably because of COVID. There's a man from somewhere who does rehabilitation therapy for them. They also have somebody who cuts hair. He said they have a back door where they can go out and sit on a covered deck. They have a courtyard there with a gazebo and a sidewalk, and you can go for a walk. He can't do that, though, because he's blind; he has to have assistance. I ate lunch with him the first day he was there and the food was good. They have a huge dining room and a huge living room. He has to be helped to go to these rooms, though."

"My dad has moved into Greenwood Place. He likes it, so that's all that matters. It seems like a really good place for him to spend the rest of his days. I pretty much like everything about it. Everybody seems friendly and knowledgeable. They know what to do in any situation, so that's all that matters. I like everything about the building. The only thing that is a minor concern is that my dad would have to be on the second floor and some of the stuff is on the first floor. For activities, they have puzzles, coloring pages, different games, and a simulated boxing thing, which I thought was weird at first, but they're just sitting there and pretending to punch. They're not punching anything, they're just exercising."

"My mom is now at Holly House. It has been an awesome experience. Five minutes after we got there, she ditched the wheelchair and she started walking again. She got some independence. They help her with the issues that she needs. It could not have been a better process. The gentleman who showed me the different places was amazing. It was home-run basically. It stood out way, way above the rest. The food smells good, and my mom has no complaints. The staff knows her well. She knows what my mom can eat and what she likes and they cook everything there, so it is amazing. The staff has been fantastic. The place is sparkling clean, and it fits my mom's needs. They actually moved her to a bigger room when they had a chance. She now has an access to a bathroom off of her room. They're going above and beyond to try to help her. I highly recommend this place."

"Holbrook Woodstock has a lot of amenities and it's open to everybody. The staff is extremely friendly. It's an open floor plan and it seems very bright, and airy as opposed to other ones. It has a very pleasant living atmosphere. I had lunch there and it was very good. They have an informal and formal dining area, so you can choose whether you want a formal meal or an informal meal. They have a swimming pool, an exercise room, and an area with different game rooms. Facility conditions, like maintenance and cleanliness, are fantastic."

"We went to Golden Rose Personal Care Home. The staff was very nice. We looked at a few rooms. It is nice. It was a single room, a private room, and it was out of the price range. It was very well kept. I think they're just getting the back garden fixed up. I believe they had an out-back sitting area. The staff was very pleasant."

"We looked at Silver Comet Village. It was an amazing place. It probably was not the best fit for mom, because a lot of the residents in memory care didn't need as much care as she did, which is why we didn't choose it. They didn't accept her for that reason. She needed more care than the staff they had. But, it was all extremely nice, and you would get a lot for the money. The staff was over the top good, and the rooms were big and nice."
