"My Dad was recently in Rehab at Cherokee Center for about a week and a half. First impression was the building was really old. That being said the staff really made up for any short comings of the building. When I first arrived, I was greeted by Kersten. She was so kind and welcoming. She directed me to my Dad's room. The room was very neat and tidy and most importantly He was happy with his accommodations. Nurse Ellen was really the best part of his stay there for me. She was incredibly responsive. On multiple occasions she took care of a request and followed through. She even found someone to help with my Dad's cell phone when it wasn't working properly. Dad and I agreed we would rather be in faciality with a great staff and an old building than a beautiful building with a very non caring staff. Everyone we came in contact with was so kind and sincere. Some great people work there now let's work a little on the inside of the building. The staff deserves it!"

"My mom is at WellStar Paulding Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. They're very good with them, they take care of them and watch over them. The staff was excellent. The food is very good. They play bingo and they play ball."

"At first I didn't think that The Cottages at Rockmart was a nursing home because of these little townhomes. The whole facility looks brand new. It's like it has its own community. There's a main building with a little clock tower, that's where the main office is, and surrounding that facility are these little homes, and each one of the little homes is one of the nursing facilities. The staff was very helpful. I had no clue what I was doing or how to go about getting things done, and the lady there, Lisa, basically walked me through everything I needed to. She had a checklist for me, and what I'm trying to do is to get all of it done this month. Everything is there at the facility. I don't have to worry about a wheelchair or a hospital bed. They have a machine that can help lift the person so they're not doing two person assist, but just one person. Inside each one of those little buildings there is a cook and a kitchen area. So, each building has their own cook and nursing staff."

"Facility was very clean with no odors, Staff was caring and attentive. It was nice to know my mom was in good hands when I was not around. I would recommend this facility to anyone. "

"We chose Chulio Hills Health & Rehab for my dad. All the people seem to be genuinely ready to help and have the residents in their best interest. The facility is not completely up-to-date, but that does not matter to me. How people treat my dad is what matters. The staff members enjoy their jobs and enjoy taking care of their residents. Their meals are great, although sometimes it's a little much for my dad to handle as far as pulling stuff off the bone. But other than that, the meals have been more than adequate. They've had a musician come, and they had a ball game party celebrating the Georgia team's win. I've already seen that they've provided at least one big activity per week and then they also have the activity room open all the time to do crafts and puzzles."

Not just as a hospices facility but a live in facility. The other patients in the facility when visiting has nothing but great things to say about everyone!"

"I recently toured Winthrop Manor Nursing Home. I have toured many nursing homes over the years, and this one is highest on my list in terms of quality. The nursing staff was abundant and professional. It was also the cleanest and sweetest smelling Nursing Home I have ever toured. The patients looked clean and neatly dressed and all the interactions I saw between staff and patient were polite and professional and very patient and kind. I was also told that they were starting a new computerized oversight system to keep up with logging details. I am sorry to say I don't remember the name of the program or exactly what it does other than make the staff more self disciplined and accountable for accidents. If you tour the facility yourself you can find out more details about the new system. I would highly recommend this nursing home to anyone that has to face that difficult choice of where to place a parent or other loved one. It's definitely the top tier of Nursing Homes in our area. "

"Windsor House just opened in October 2015 so it’s a very new facility. It is beautiful. Everything was nice, and clean. The layout of the facilityis very nice. It is in a very great location. I was given a tour by the owner’s son who was very nice, and very knowledgeable. I met the administrator who has 17 years of experience; so, she is very knowledgeable in this field. Everybody I met was nice, and they seem to be enjoying their work. "

"I am very well pleased with Fifth Avenue Health Care, and with everybody. They all seem to go out of their way to help you and make you comfortable. If you need anything (I'm on three liters of oxygen), all I have to do is say, "I'm out of oxygen," and they come running. I was just really, really weak when I got here. I could not even get on a bed by myself. Now I can get on my bed and off to my wheelchair. The people giving me therapy are wonderful. The dietitian is also wonderful. She comes in and asks me if I feel like I can eat. Everybody is just really helpful and caring. I cannot say enough for this facility, because it is a wonderful place. They serve us very good food three times a day. Of course, everybody's taste is different, but from end of January until the end of February all I could eat was mashed potatoes. Then I got to where I could eat oatmeal. We all congregate in the dining room. They even feed some patients in their bed, to where everybody feels a part of the community here. Of course the weather has not been to where I can go outside yet or anything, but they have bingo on Monday mornings usually, and they have devotions, musical groups come in, and different entertainers come in from Cartersville. They came in for Valentine's Day. They provide entertainment that keeps people satisfied and happy. If I don't feel like coming to the dining room or if I'm tired, they come get me and they push me. I'm just so thankful because the nurses and everybody are really caring here. This place is clean and I'm a clean freak. Everybody works together trying to help the patients. They're always attentive and take care of us. I'm really pleased with them. Whenever you press the emergency light, they are here."

"At the moment, my friend is at Wildwood Health Care. They have done a great job. I'm very pleased with them. The room is large and clean, but they are four people to a room, so it's pretty crowded. That's my only complaint about it. Nevertheless, everybody has been wonderful, and they seem to take good care of my friend. She also has no complaints about the food. They have some activities, but I don't think she has participated in anything just because of her condition right now. She is pleased with therapy, and she seems to be improving. The staff is caring, helpful, and pleasant."
