"My 88-year-old mother came to ManorCare in Marietta after falling and breaking her arm. North Fulton Hospital gave us a booklet and only four hours to choose four options for a rehab facility. Of course, there was no time to visit any of them first, so we relied on reviews and some word-of-mouth recommendations. I have heard horror stories about rehab facilities, but ManorCare in Marietta exceeded our expectations and turned out to be a great place for Mom. She was there for 20 days and I visited her almost daily. She received good care and kindness consistently from the nurses, PT and OT therapists, social workers (Lessie and Neeta), support staff, and Dr. Micca (who took extra time to explain details of her treatment to us). The building is older but clean, and the food is good. They have activities like game night and jewelry making, and a therapy dog visits on Saturdays. Mom improved quickly there, and we had no major issues or complaints. It was a relief to know that she was well taken care of, especially during such a stressful time of recovery. We are grateful to the staff at ManorCare, Marietta, and we would recommend it to anyone needing rehab."

"My elderly mother was admitted with a fractured hip. After 3 weeks they had her much improved. I want to thank the dedicated staff for all the caring time and attention they gave. They also had many professionals from nurses, occupational therapist etc helping her. I visited daily and the facility was always clean and well run."

"My mom was their, they treated her very well. The room was cleaned every day was not a perfect room but better than expected. The only compliant I would have is delivery of medicine never the same time. Any where from 7 am to 1pm . Staff was great. I was good to them they were good to ny mom."

"I visited Golden LivingCenter Kennestone for my mom. The building was new. The staff was friendly. The dining room was nice. It looked more like an assisted living than it did a nursing home. They appeared to have some activities posted but I didn’t see anybody at the moment having them. "

"My neice was in A.G. Rhodes. It was a very structurally nice facility. Everything was pleasant and wonderful including the administrative staff and the facility itself. But I have reservations about their staff once you get to the second floor and third floor. They seemd to have limited training to understand that different patients have different needs; you cannot have a one fits all mentality. That was my only reservation when she was there. That made me uneasy because I had to be there all of the time to make sure things work according to her needs. For example: she has sensitive skin. She needed a microfiber towel to clean her, and they used a wash cloth, so developed a sore that was not taken care of. That’s one of the reasons why I took her home: to take care of the wound. She often used soft tissue to blow her noise; they didn’t do that. That’s the only problem I had there, but otherwise, everything else was perfect. They were very accommodating; however, her timing and their timing was not a fit at first, but after a while, they began to handle it well with her. The very first week, she was very ill and incapable of really picking up. I didn't have the opportunity to go down to the facility that time because she needed more sleep and there are more people. They wake up early in the morning to go down and do the exercises and she couldn’t. The facility itself and the staff were excellent in terms of therapy, but the schedule was not good for her. The food was excellent, and the care was OK. "

"My mother has been a resident for the past 4 years at Townsend Park. She made the transition from Assisted Living and has never been happier. She feels like she’s surrounded by family. Everyone there treats her like she’s a guest. She loves it! As you walk through the facility you will see how well kept it is. No trash on the floors. No foul odor. Very different than others I have been in. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. "

"Good simple nursing home - had a rather homey feel and down to earth attendants. Inside, while not fancy, was simple, but clean. No noxious odors that lingered. My dad was here for approx. three weeks and I believe that he would have liked to have stayed longer (thanks insurance) - he is very opinionated and the only thing he grumbled a bit about was that his tv would only go to one channel a day (they later reprogrammed) and sometimes his food was not hot (it happens) but other than that he had no complaints. He had been in another about 4-5 years ago after back surgery and what I found to be different was that this place was painted a light color inside so it wasn't "gloomy" - They have a person who comes and cuts hair so he was able to write a check and get his hair cut which made him feel better as well. I believe dad would go back there again, if he ever needed too. Ladies in the office were helpful as well - thanks Kristin, Tammy and Rhonda (think that was her name - she answers the phone) as well as the nurses and physical therapists! "
