The facility is clean and bright and all of the staff is very friendly and nurturing with the residents. The dining staff has taken great pains to ensure that my aunt (who currently is the only resident who is a vegetarian) has a balanced diet with plenty of food choices. I'm very pleased with the selection of Canterfield as my aunt's residence and would recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, caring environment with various activities available to the residents."

"My tour of Golden Rose Personal Care Home was very good. Someone actually saw us in the parking lot and directed us to the office. It was very nice inside. The place was very clean, and it smelled very good there. The person who directed us to the office was from the Caribbean like we are, so there was an instant connection there. It was very good, and I know my mom is going to be comfortable with that. We were taken on the tour shortly thereafter. Everything was very clean and neat, so I feel at peace with that. I think it's going to be a good fit for my mom. We're just going to evaluate it for a month to month basis to make sure everything works out. Right now, it seems like it's going to be a good fit for her, and that's why we're planning to choose Golden Rose. There was a garden, and there was outdoor seating. There's a game night. My mom needs interaction with people, and apparently they have activities where a lot of the residents are involved, like Bingo Nights. I know the cook is Jamaican, so that's a good thing (I hope). It was very clean. The maintenance was good."

"Green Park Senior Care Home offered both assisted living and memory care, but I talked to them about assisted living. They don't have a separate part for memory care. The place was new and clean. The lady that greeted me was knowledgeable. She's been at that business for a long time. I was looking at some of the residents. They were sitting in the lounge area watching the TV, and it made me depressed. It didn't seem like they were active. I don't know what they do to make them active. They were just sitting in their wheelchairs, just quiet watching the TV. There was not a lot of stuff going on to make it a lively place. The rooms were nice. She showed me a single room, and it was pretty nice and a nice size. I also saw a double room. I didn't really go in because there were two people in there. The double room looked like just a regular room. To me, it wasn't a big room. It was like a hospital double room. It looked very clean. It's right off of a major road, Highway 41. It's set back from Jiles Road, so they would have the peace and quiet. Behind it has a lot of nice tall trees. When springtime comes, the seniors could sit in the sunroom and watch the birds."

"My sister is at Brookdale Chambrel Roswell. The staff is excellent, and the care is very good. The facility is also clean and up to date. The apartments are well-planned and good sized. It is very attractive. It's a fairly new facility for memory care, and the dining area is excellent. It's an open area with several tables, so that the people can talk to each other. It's a good value for your money."

"The Oaks at Alpharetta was recently remodeled, so it looked very nice. The common areas were all upgraded and large, and there were several of them. There were different room sizes and styles and they all would work very well for my father. I worked with the facility director as well as the care director, and they were both very accommodating and answered all of my questions."

"My mom stayed for respite at Bright Rose Personal Care Home's assisted living in Marietta. They loved her and wanted to welcome her back. She had a really good stay, and everybody really loved her personality. She got along well with everyone. She really enjoyed herself, and they enjoyed having her. It's a good place. The only thing is that they have one person there who smokes, and my mom is a non-smoker now. That's the only thing I saw that I didn't agree with. Other than that, they're really kind and very nice. They attend to the residents who live there. It's not overcrowded, so you can still get individual attention, which is really good. It's a home-based facility, and very neat, very organized, and very stationary. There's a lot of room in there for the residents to move around and watch TV. They have a sitting area if they want to go outside and sit and relax. The bedroom where my mom slept was very nice and neat. The comforter, the bedspread, and everything about it were nice. For activities, I know they have somebody who comes in and does exercises with them. They have activities that kind of get their mind refreshed."

"The Oaks at Post Road is a very nice community. The tour was wonderful and the staff was very accommodating. We looked at their independent living and they transition to memory care. They also transition to hospice. I looked at a one-bedroom apartment. You get your own furniture, and it was very nice and accommodating. They have so many activities for the residents. I was very impressed with all of their activities. I was very impressed with the place.The staff who accommodated me during the tour was amazing. They couldn't have been any nicer. I met with people beforehand. She took my dad up there and the staff suggested that we have lunch. We had lunch and a tour, and it was very nice. The layout of the place was wonderful; it was beautiful. I have visited many other places but this one is reasonable in terms of price."

"Kennesaw Village was small but was very nice. The room they showed us for Mom was also fairly small, and at the time it would have been OK because she's not mobile. Chloe showed us around and she was very helpful. The dining area was really nice. As soon as you come into the foyer, it's right there. It's a nice set up, and then they had the menu posted where you can read it. They showed us the activity room and different things that they have set up for the people there. They had a little van so they could take the people if they needed to run and purchase things. I also met the nurse. Even though they found out that we wouldn't be staying, they still spoke with us and told us about the facility. To me, the facility looked like it was remodeled. They had hardwood floors and everything like that. We would have to bring our stuff there. They didn't have the items there for you. You will bring your own, like a bed and a chair."

"My husband moved here. The facility is very clean, the people are very friendly, the residents get along, and I'm very pleased with it. He watches TV, he watches the people, and sometimes he bats ballooms around using fly swatters, which he likes. He has a bedroom, a bathroom, and a sitting area."

"Village Park Alpharetta is wonderful, and Barb is fantastic. I really like the layout. It's a large community. I like the fact that they have a main dining room, but they also have bistros in different places. It almost seems like they have different areas to eat. I thought that was really cool. They have an outdoor pool, which is nice. They have a lot of activities. It's a lot of land, and it's spread out more than some of the others. The variety of food was excellent too. The place is huge. They have so many different activities. They have a lot of committees and a lot of clubs. Sometimes, once a week, they arrange to go to dinners or go shopping. We live in Atlanta, so there's a lot of cultural and arts things, and so if something comes to the theater they'll arrange for that sort of thing. Those are the kind of things my mother loves."
