"I toured Vickery Rose Retirement Community, which is excellent. Their model is just homes, and if you want to be independent, you're independent. If you need extra levels of help, there's another company who's located in the facility and you go through that. So, it was a little bit of a different business model. Everything is independent and you can stay there and add whatever you need. It was great. It was very opulent, but like an old Southern style. With my mom, that could really appeal to her. It was very, very nice Another thing about them is that they have a pretty waterfall when you come in, and music is always playing, so it is always soothing. The dining area was very nice. I like the fact that they always have ready-made food. For somebody like my mom, who has orthopedic issues, if she isn't feeling going downstairs or whatnot, she can get something to eat no matter what kind of day. The staff who gave the tour was great too."

"Brookdale Roswell is very nice. It has assisted living, but it is primarily independent living. The tour was very nice, and the sales person I spoke with was very nice. It is a very nice facility, but at that time, I realized we really needed more assisted living. He suggested the sister facility right across the street, but when I spoke further with my father, he decided that he did not want to come to the Atlanta area. It is decorated in a very traditional manner that is expected if you are in the Atlanta area. It is decorated well and appears to be clean. It seems that they cater to their residents too. "

"The staff at Celebration Village Acworth was excellent, the facility was excellent and what they had was fit for our needs. They have a game room, a bar, an ice cream parlor, and a bistro. They had a different look than the other place we toured. They had this big 22,000-square foot area where they had the game rooms, salon, and physical therapy. They always have someone on duty that would do medical stuff for you, and they also have a PA. They also do happy hour in the bar."

"I toured Cottonwood Estates Gracious Retirement Living. It was extremely clean and well-kept. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I like their setup for the residents, the cafeteria, and the overall amenities they offer there. They provide three meals a day."

"We are choosing Varenita of West Cobb for my mother because it was new and we liked the people. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and happy. The place was large and it was very clean. They had a little courtyard area and a relaxation area. This facility was located near restaurants and grocery stores."

"My mom moved into the Sanford Estates about a month ago. I like the community overall. The people were very nice. And they have aides on site. They also have activities to keep the residents busy like bingo and game night. There's nothing included in the apartment. This is independent living, so she has to bring her own furniture."

"We went to Village Park Senior Living, and that, so far is my favorite. The staff there was awesome. We're looking at independent living. We saw they're very much what we like. They're building some other things and we're going to check what they're building. I will be in touch with the staff as she's the one that we worked with. She showed us around. They're the best. They're the one I'm considering going to. The staff is excellent. We didn't taste their food but that wasn't so important because they would only have four meals a week anyway for us. We'll be cooking in our own home there, and we will have our own full kitchen so we didn't need that. The facility is excellent and it is clean. They're the only ones that had us wear a plastic coat when we came there so that the people don't get COVID. They were excellent, they were careful, concise and did everything for us that we could ask. I have a complete folder from them with all of the plans for the new stuff and everything. I'm very well covered from them."

"Sandy Springs Senior Homes, LLC was a nice place. They were doing some work around there to make sure that it was even nicer. It was a pretty decent spot if that was the environment you wanted to live in. It was clean. Linda was a sweetheart. She was courteous. She made sure I understood everything to the fullest extent. She showed me three different properties, and she was just kind. The dining area was simple. It was not as upscale as the other place, but it was decent. They told me about bingo, and I know they got a hairdresser there. She told me they have a media room. As far as exercise, I didn't see one."

"We toured Village Park Peachtree Corners. We really liked it, but it was just too far away from our house. It had a gorgeous facade, the staff was outstanding and helpful, and they helped us talk to the executive area director, and got over to the other place. The rooms were comparable to the other place, they had a pool, a gym, a nice food area, like a bistro area where you could get snacks if you missed a meal or just wanted something to eat. They had bingo going on while we were there, and it was social-distanced bingo, but they're making sure that the seniors have interactions. It was clean and maintained."

"Not only is the atmosphere and food excellent there are always great activities to participate in such as various games, trips, and exercise classes. Not only is it good from a health standpoint but also to help keep your mental health in tact."

"They have a chef and residents can order off a menu. The day I visited, I ordered salmon and a baked potato with everything, and it was perfectly wonderful. One meal a day comes with the cost of the room, and they charge a couple hundred dollars more if you want three meals. They have several different styles of room, like one big room with a bath and a little kitchenette that they call a studio. They have an Alzheimer’s wing, too. They have everything for activities. It is almost unbelievable. They have a laundry room on each wing. They have a great room with conversation nook and stone fireplace. They have a library with videos and books, audio tapes, and a computer. This is where I’m going if I ever can’t drive. I would recommend it highly for anybody that’s looking for a place for a parent. "

"The best thing about Celebration Village Forsyth is they welcomed me the minute I got there and they allowed my aunt to bring her cat. That was a special need for her. They treated us like individuals and it was just unbelievable that they would do something like that to help us. Lauren and Michael have been fantastic. The memory care facility she moved into looks beautiful. They have a lovely dining room. The food is fantastic. The rooms are beautiful. They entertain them the entire day. They keep them busy with activities, events, and parties, and they can garden if they want to."
