"We toured Village Park Alpharetta. It was very modern and upbeat, positive, bright, and light. There were lots of different hybrid options for people who were in different phases of life. So if you need more independence and your spouse stays more assisted, you can stay together. You don't need to move buildings or floors based on your needs. The staff was extremely professional and friendly, made us feel very comfortable and hospitable, and just a great experience. We tried the bistro and the food was good."

"My wife will be moving into Celebration Village Acworth within the next month. We have all of the requisite conditions met by this facility. There were so many activities that were possible there. One of the things that attracted me was eventually, I could move in there too. I was pleased with the fact that they had a nice little exercise room with lots of equipment and they had a pool. It had well-kept grounds and it had a very pleasant atmosphere. It was just immaculate. We walked through one of the rooms where people were eating lunch, and the food looked good to me. We saw a full plate there. The first time we arrived, they had a group there having a little concert of 60's and 70's music, which appeals to people of our age. And they were quite good. There was a lot of participation from the residents. They also had karaoke night once a week. The staff was very pleasant, very friendly, and very nice. "

"Parc at Piedmont - East Cobb was really beautiful. They had walking paths, gazebos, and swings outside. It was really pretty that way. We had a meal there, too, and it was excellent. The thing I liked the best about it was the gardens that you could walk through. The staff members were really nice. The facility was great. They had an apartment that I really liked. However, it was a little far from where our family is, and that's one of those things."

"I'm staying in Sanford Estates. I like the other residents that live here. Part of the amenities is that I get three meals a day in their dining room. It's clean and it's active. Plus, it has a bus that I can use to go to my doctors' appointments."

"We are choosing Varenita of West Cobb for my mother because it was new and we liked the people. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and happy. The place was large and it was very clean. They had a little courtyard area and a relaxation area. This facility was located near restaurants and grocery stores."

"Celebration Village Forsyth comes off as a cleaner, more lively, and more active community than some of the other facilities. It's bright in appearance. It's more cheerful. The rooms are bigger. They're more spacious. They have bigger kitchens. Everybody we ran into was very pleasant and helpful."

"I enjoyed Belmont Village Johns Creek. They were friendly and personable. It was a nice place. The staff during the tour was very knowledgeable and friendly. She knew what she was talking about. I would feel comfortable having my mother-in-law go there. The apartments were unfurnished, but they were nice. They have little balconies and screened-in porches, which were good. They have a little kitchenette. It wasn't like a high rise, and I liked that. It was like a village, so that was good. I looked at the dining area and it looked nice, they had a little cafeteria and cafe. They have a courtyard and a large outdoor area where you can hang out. I like that it's smaller than the other place we visited."

"I toured Ashwood Meadows Gracious Retirement Living, and I liked it. It was the one that I was leaning toward because I'm only willing to go up to $3,000 a month, and they were closer to that range. They were also making an effort to make everything possible, but right now, I'm holding off at this point. There are two meals a day. They had some crab bowls that they invited me to, along with their tour. They had a refrigerator, microwave, and stove, and they had the setup for a washer and dryer as well. The food was good. The overall facility was extremely clean. They had a nice sitting room and provided a workout area for the residents."

"Sandy Springs Senior Homes, LLC was a small community. They have a lot of extra touches that I didn't find in some of the other communities, most notably someone available 24/7 at the front desk for an independent living community. I thought that was very important. The size of the units was very nice. There are close to about 67 residents, so just the small nature of the community was more conducive for my mom. The socialization and the services that they offered I thought were a little bit more personalized. Also, they have everything my mom needs."

"My mom moved into the Towne Club Windermere. I've gotten to know the staff pretty well, it's very professional. Every person I've met has just gone out of the way to be able to help. If you're looking for independent living, this place is truly like an apartment, it's an amazing place. The craftsmanship is very good, they have granite countertops, really nice cabinets, it's just like a kitchen you would see in a normal apartment, good hardwood floors, the layout plan is good, the view is on the inside over the pool, and it just feels like you're at a resort hotel. It's a cross between a resort hotel and a country club. They have a really nice salon, a good fitness area, the movie area is really nice, it's a big room, big screens, and they have a lot of activities in that room, whether games, or classes, or bingo. Classes include yoga or chair exercises. The grounds are very well-manicured, it's a very quiet place. The view that my mother has on the back end overlooks a big pool with palm trees, overlooks a wooded area that's got some walking trails. It feels very upscale. The rooms in the assisted living are nice, but they are definitely smaller. At some point in the future she'll transition to assisted living, and when she does, those are also nice. They offer shuttle service, and they have two doctors that have their PA, and offer that service as well, and three meals a day. I've eaten there several times and the kitchen does a good job on the menus."

"Our visit at Village Park at Spalding was very good, and the community was wonderful. A friend’s mother is in one part of the community, not in the apartments, but in the bungalows, and they had a good experience. The person that I met with was very good in explaining all the fees, what’s included, and what they don't include. She showed me the place itself and showed me the apartment, which was nice, so I can get a spatial recognition of how the furniture fits in it. The price is a little bit on the high end, but the amenities and size of the units made it worth paying extra. One big positive is when you move from independent to assisted living you don’t have to move to another unit. The food selection and the dining area is restaurant style. They are top-notch, they have everything you can imagine, including PT if you need it. The facilities are nothing less than stellar."

"The people here are friendly and welcoming (staff and residents). The food is excellent and of very good quality and variety and prepared deliciously. Great Chef here!! There are a number of activities that you can attend every day; exercise classes, crafts, music and entertainment, games like bingo, bridge, and dominoes just to name a few. There is a big pool to help keep people in shape. The building and your apartment are always clean. Concierge are always well informed on subjects/activities and someone is available around the clock. The furnishings and decorations are beautiful and have a very homey touch; activity spaces are lot like being in a house. I could highly recommend this residence for anyone. I've lived here for 6 months after trying other types of senior living in the last 3 years. "
