Memory Care Communities in Canton, GA

"We toured Canterfield of Kennesaw. My mother-in-law just liked it. When she walked in, she said she felt like she was at home. She felt good. She just has a feeling, and like the other place she didn't care for, but the Canterfield, when she walked in, she said, "Oh, I like this place." It was nice. The people were very friendly. The room was lovely, and they all had things to do, so we liked it. They had movies every day. They have bingo, puzzle time, and games. They have an arts and crafts room, happy hour, and trivia. They have a daily workout. They take a trip to Walmart. You can just sign up, and they'll take you shopping. Then they have church services for a couple of different denominations. They have a library, a puzzle room, a barber, and a beauty shop."

"The staff at Georgian Lakeside's assisted living facility were lovely and very friendly. They helped me and made me feel very welcome during my tour. Their rooms are bigger and a little newer. Their dining area is also very nice. They are quite new and very pretty. You can see through the dining hall windows a lake, which is why it's called Lakeside. It's a man-made lake surrounded by trees. There are even doors that open to the outside, and there are umbrella tables there, so if you want to eat your meal outside on the deck overlooking the lake, you could do that. From an aesthetic standpoint, it's quite good. They have a salon, but I didn't see anybody working in it or anything. They had space for exercising, and a movie or a screening room. Most of the other facilities have those, but this is a bigger facility, so it's larger. You went through a door to access the other side, that's their memory care facility, rather than just going up to an elevator to go to another floor. That's how big it is."

"My mom is now at Holly House. It has been an awesome experience. Five minutes after we got there, she ditched the wheelchair and she started walking again. She got some independence. They help her with the issues that she needs. It could not have been a better process. The gentleman who showed me the different places was amazing. It was home-run basically. It stood out way, way above the rest. The food smells good, and my mom has no complaints. The staff knows her well. She knows what my mom can eat and what she likes and they cook everything there, so it is amazing. The staff has been fantastic. The place is sparkling clean, and it fits my mom's needs. They actually moved her to a bigger room when they had a chance. She now has an access to a bathroom off of her room. They're going above and beyond to try to help her. I highly recommend this place."

"We went to Golden Rose Personal Care Home. The staff was very nice. We looked at a few rooms. It is nice. It was a single room, a private room, and it was out of the price range. It was very well kept. I think they're just getting the back garden fixed up. I believe they had an out-back sitting area. The staff was very pleasant."

"My sister and I are so grateful for the care that the Green Park Kennesaw family gave my mother. They all take great pride in the care of their residents. The facility does not feel like a facility but a warm home. Our mom was in another facility prior to her time with Green Park. There is no comparison to the level of care she received at Green Park. If you are looking for a warm environment and excellent care for a loved one, I highly recommend Green Park, Kate and her wonderful staff."

"I will be moving into Brookdale Chambrel Roswell. I was impressed because it was an open area. There are a lot of walking areas around it. I just like the way they set it up. There was a garden that you could walk through. They have a swimming pool. I like the people that I've met there. I had lunch there twice, and I was very impressed. The staff was very helpful. She called me several times in between. I liked her a lot. I met some of the residents there. They all had positive things to say. They were all very nice. They have all kinds of activities. They are busy all the time. You could stay busy 24 hours a day. They have crafts. They have a lot of people who play cards there. The minute I walked in, I felt that it was the place for me. I liked it."

"I toured The Oaks at Alpharetta. They showed me the whole thing. It was lovely, it was brand new and beautiful. The room my brother would have had would have been beautiful. I couldn't say anything wrong about that place that I could see. The staff was great, too. The rooms were a very nice size. The atmosphere was luxurious. It was very good."

"My mother is currently a resident and she is very happy. She has formed a number of friendships in the year that she has been there. They have some newer staff that are fantastic and communication when mom needs something has been very easy. The facility is clean, and well kept and the food is very good. I highly recommend this community. No place is perfect, but they definitely care!!!"

"We had to move our loved one from a different ASL facility. When we arrived at Kennesaw Village, the staff welcomed us warmly and showed genuine sympathy for our previous situation. They are kind and accommodating. Our loved one is enjoying the care she receives and feels confident that she has the assistance she needs. I believe the facility is under new ownership, and you can see the improvements being made as it transforms into a more modern space."

"I went to look at Northstar Square. They showed me the rooms. I've seen a few of the patients there. Everything looked good and nice. They explained everything. I went to a room that was vacant. Everybody was polite and nice. They take care of the patients well."

"Village Park Alpharetta would have been my second choice. However, my kids would be unhappy because it was a little far from them. They were super nice, though. It had everything. It had a pool. It was super awesome. The people were really friendly. It was just really amazing. It was beautiful. They were adding on, and they had such a big crowd of people. Everybody was really nice and kind. It was great. I would have gone there very easily, but my son was like, "It was too far, Mom!" I guess he's right. The staff was wonderful. We had a luncheon there, and it was amazing. It was great. They gave us a menu and said, "Pick anything you want," and I was looking at it, and it was 'Wow!' I had a hamburger, and it was great. The place was spotless. It was beautiful. Because they had filled up the other area, we were going to be in a brand new area, and it was really pretty. Our unit would have looked out over a garden kind of thing."

"My wife moved into Inspired Living at Alpharetta. It has more care, more nurses, and more doctors once a week. It has everything I could have imagined. It is upscale and clean. Not as good as I expected. I see a lot of things on the chart and activity board."

"I wanted Celebration Village Acworth. The living area for your bedroom and living room is a very, very beautiful area. It has a lot of room, and the design is really pretty. Also, it is very safe. This was on the second or third floor, but you can't get in and out without a key, so you don't have to worry about unwanted visitors coming in. They don't let just anybody in. They have a beautiful dining area. It is really nice. They have a big library. If I were going to choose, I would choose them, but they're very expensive. They raise their prices every year, and so that too is a problem for somebody who's on a fixed income. The staff member who gave the tour was a very nice lady. I didn't realize that the military would pay some, but they do. If your husband is retired military or in the military, they can contribute a little to your income for a place to live, so that's nice as well."
