"I don't think Heartis Buckhead was as elegant as the other one I visited, but the apartments were a little bit larger and the view was very nice. It's city living whereas the other one is a little bit more secluded. It's smack in the middle of the city with the good and the bad. This was also a little bit cheaper than the other one. It had a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the apartment. They have a pool and a garden. The staff during the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable."

"I was just overwhelmed with their service at Brighton Gardens of Dunwood just to make sure that I was comfortable. The tour was very extensive. I talked to a nurse there who was very helpful, and she was basically the head rehab nurse. She had lots of questions about my father and actually called him and talked to him. I like the fact that there were dining facilities on each floor. Everyone seemed very helpful and very nice, and all the residents loved it. And it was a pleasant location; it is right next to where I work so I would have been very close to my father. "

"The people at The Holbrook Decatur were understanding. It was well-facilitated and supported. There was a great supporting staff, and they kept the residents involved in activities. The apartments were nice-sized, up-to-date, very accommodating, and very clean. I wasn't able to see a non-furnished room as one would walk into it if they lived there."

"I saw employees interacting with the seniors and their families that were visiting. There were many Alheizmers patients. I notice employees giving them being patient and compassionate. Some of the seniors were watching TV shows such as the golden girls others were doing karaoke or talking with each other. "

"My parents moved in. They have activities like games, bingo, and an area outside that has an actual garden so they can plant what they like. What stands out to me is that the rooms are larger even though it's an older place. It's also a large community, so there's a lot of people to talk to. They don't have things that modern senior places have, they only have the basics, like outdoor sidewalks, and an outdoor courtyard with benches and chairs where you can walk around. They also have a game room, community rooms with a big TV, and conference rooms."

"It had a library and a play area. The staff was nice. The dining and the menu were excellent. The place was clean. There was some seating areas for the residents to relax."

"My mother moved into The Berman Commons in October of 2020. It was a good experience but I was frustrated with a cascade of changes in staffing for the next year plus. Since then it has been as close to perfect as I could hope for! The staff from Denise (CEO), to Nardos (D. of Nursing) to floor staff, admin and maintenance have been AMAZING! Their basic care was (of course) exemplary but it's all the extra things that really put my (and my mother's) experience over the top. From general flexibility to obvious and actual personal empathy, mother's level of care is everything I could ask for. The staff is not only professional but clearly take personal stake in the residences' well being and the extended families' comfort level. Transparency and heartfelt sentiment color all aspects of my experience with The Berman. I am so thankful that my mother is in such a great place! I extent a HUGE thank you to all the staff for their amazing level care and responsible custodianship! "

"I visited the memory care facility of Regal Pointe at East Cobb. They are good at listening, but quite salesy. When we were at this other place we were also touring, the person there knew a lot of the names of the people and asked somebody questions like have they drank water, and then asked somebody on the staff to get them water. As we're touring this place, though, we saw somebody there standing, nobody was with her, her mouth hung open, but the person we were touring with didn't say hi or address her. He said excuse me and walked around her and then closed the door. He told me sorry and that he had to close the door because she might come in. This is a person who knows who she is, so that didn't feel great to me. He really listened to me and talked about how he got into this because of his own parents. However, after we toured the rest of the facility, and as we were going into the memory care, he said, "This is going to be really sad". I feel like that's how he sees it, and projecting it like that felt like he didn't respect the people who were in that wing. The room size was fine, but I think my biggest concern was that there was an overpowering smell of urine. I would expect that there'll be some urine in some places, especially since it's lunch and on a memory care wing where there's going to be a lot more incontinence. Other than that, the dining area looks satisfactory, and the parking was easy. I would say that on the assisted living side, it was clean with interesting facilities and activities. However, the memory care side was just depressing. My grandparents were in a nursing home through my teen years, and I'm not usually one to say I was triggered by something, but I was triggered by something there. I came home and literally sat in a chair for a while."

"My mom moved into Sunrise a year ago. It was very nice and better than anything we were able to find. Everything was very good. However, they don’t have enough parking space. "

"I toured Medlock Gardens. The individuals in the office were excellent, very professional, and they gave me very good vibes. They seemed to have quite a bit of good character about them, so I was impressed. It's old, so the rooms reflect the age of the building. The dining facilities appeared to be appropriate, nice, and homey. The room is adequate; it's just that the facility is old. They appear to offer a fair number of amenities. They were playing bingo while I was there."

"Huntcliff is wonderful and we couldn't ask for more. It's just a great place. The food is good and the staff is good. "

"Oaks at Tucker was great. I liked the low prices. The staff was wonderful. Everybody I met was super. They had most of the stuff that my son would be interested in, like bingo and the shuttle to different areas and medical appointments. They have exercise and therapy. They have someone that comes and does physical therapy. The upkeep of the place was wonderful."

"It was a little farther away from my house. It was a nice place, but it wasn’t a good fit for my dad. He is not to the point that he needs as much as they provide. If I felt like someone I knew that it was the type of place they were looking for, I would recommend it. I felt like the staff was kind, and it would be a safe place. "

"The rooms at Woodland Ridge were good. The staff was friendly and outgoing. They had cameras outside the door, and they seemed to cater to the needs of the elderly that needed assistance. They had Bingo, arts, and stuff, like most of them have."
