"We have put down a deposit at Shannondale Retirement Center to be on their waiting list. Based on our tour, the place is satisfactory. They offer a CCRC arrangement, and they are in the process of constructing a new building for independent living, and it looks like it'll be very nice. The rooms that will be available to us will be in the new building, but we have an idea what they'll be like based on floor plans and so on. They have transportation to some events and to doctors. I believe they also provide transportation to the Knoxville Symphony and so on."

"My mom has been getting excellent care up to this point at West Hills and absolutely no harm or problems so far. She has been there for rehab because she suffered a fall. She has a single room and it's spacious. "

"The physical therapy staff at Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center is excellent, very patient, and work with individuals to try to maximize their ability to do functional movements. It is in a hospital, and Dad is in a private room. There is a movie theater, a community room, a physical therapy room, and an occupational therapy room with exercise equipment. "

"My dad was at the NHC Place, Farragut. Overall, it was a good experience. It was clean. They were remodeling prior to my dad leaving, but up-to-date. They had an activities room. They had an Elvis impersonator come to their show. It was a friendly staff. They were accommodating."

"After a recent visit to this center I was very impressed with Covid-19 safety. They took every precaution to protect their patients. Mask were required and face shields if you were in patient care areas. The Director of Nursing was conducting weekly test on all staff. I felt very safe in this nursing home. "Mom is there in Island Home Park and Rehab. We liked it because it's all on one level. It's a smaller home and the place is more personable. The care makes you feel like you're at home in a way. The staff exceed your expectations. And I'll give you an example of when they serve your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If there's something on the menu you do not like, you can request something else, and there are several options. As far as the quality of the CNAs and the life practitioners nurses are very well staffed. They are there to accommodate most of the normal needs, and they call me if there's an emergency and that mom has to be taken to the ER, or the hospital because that's happened. They have bingo, trivia games, and different things like that, and every day they will give them movies to watch and what channel to turn the TV on, on the movie that they have picked for the day. They have a social time that if you want to mingle, you can then go with other patients. If you can walk or be in a wheelchair, whatever the situation might be, there's a gathering area and some people even go out on a patio area with the weather permitting."

"The staff are very warm and friendly. Great relationships were made while I was here. Food was great. Activity director really understood my needs. I even got to paint and get a manicure! Overall good experience and I recommend to all. I did have a roommate but I made a true friend. The rooms were kept clean all of the time. "

"My husband has been at NHC for a week and also the facilities aren't sleek and modern, thus far he has received excellent care. He does like the food, and it is appetizing and nutritious. My views may change as his time is extended, but we are very pleased so far. "

"I stayed in this facility for approximately forty-five days. I came from the ICU of the University of Tennessee Hospital. I had very severe injuries. If it were not for the Physical Therapy and the Occupational Therapy departments, I would probably not be able to walk without assistance. The nursing care was amazing. The food was Excellent, I still miss that delicious food, oh my gosh! KUDOS to Everyone! I am so grateful to everyone!"

"I was upset that my grandmother had to go to a nursing home but we could no longer care for her by ourselves. The facility kept her clean at all times, she enjoyed the food, the staff seemed to really like the patients there and for the most part the patients seemed happy. They had a lot of activities for the patients and the facility never smelled like urine. I did not notice my grandmother or anyone else who seemed to be overmedicated and they welcomed our visits at any time. I was surprised at how much information the staff knew about the patients and paid a lot of attention to personal likes and dislikes. They put up boards with cards and pictures for the patients and encouraged families to help decorate. We had no problems with anything disappearing from my grandmother such as clothing or food items while she was there. The tiny garden outside was beautiful and they even allowed my grandmother and my aunt to plant some flowers for her to enjoy. My grandmother was a smoker and no matter how busy the staff was they seemed to be able to find time to take her outside at least once a shift. "

"We visited Sen. Ben Atchley, and it was new. The quality of care was very high. The staff was very responsive and very helpful. I liked the room as well as the dining area. The food looked and smelled very appealing. "

"We went to Baptist Health Care Center. The people were friendly. I thought they were straightforward, and I had no issues with the staff in terms of how they treated us. When you walk down the hall, you can see the interactions with the residents, and that felt really positive. However, the amenities weren't quite the same as a newer refurbished facility. "

"My mother was well taken care of at Loudon Health Care as a resident for approx. one year. She had good food to eat and was bathed on a regular basis. This facility has planned activities daily. I highly recommend Loudon Health Care! "

"My mother was only there a few days but Dr Gillispie is very caring and will give you all the information you ask for, as well as Maria she was very efficient and made sure that the meds were given in a timely matter for pain. I would recommend the hospice unit for your loved ones if you want kind loving professionals to help with the end of life process."
