"This is a fantastic home. My father, who has dementia, has been for about 5 years. He is kept clean and well fed. He always comments about the good food. The place is spotless. All homes are expensive, but this one was no more expensive than other places in Knoxville. Plus, the cost of diapers is covered. My dad is a difficult man to manage, especially with dementia, but they do a beautiful job with him. Most rooms are dual occupancy with a twin size bed, closet, and chest for each resident. He never participated in many activities, but before COVID, he did get to go on field trips. He usually attends church service onsite as well. "

"My sister is at NHC. It is in a very nice neighborhood. I grew up there, and it has everything down in that area, so it is accessible to malls and a hospital down west. My sister has been there for more than a month now. She seems to be happy there. They have lots of activities going on. On Mondays they take them down to the Tennessee Theater. If they want to go to the bank or to Target, they take them. They have arts and crafts and bingo. I don't have any concerns with regards to the staff. My sister is quite independent, and the only thing that they do is give her her medications. She has a studio, and so she has her own private bathroom and a kitchenette. I didn't try their food, but my sister says the food is great. She is very happy with the food. The dining room has a very nice service, more like fine dining. They have a menu where you can make selections. "

"Here have been so many wonderful changes I have seen take place since the new owners and new management has arrived. The focus is on patients and their care now. I love being able to talk to the new director and administrator at any time and see they actually do something! "

"I have spent a little over a month. The building is a building but the staff that work here are what makes it great. I give staff a 10. Nursing Jennifer is amazing so caring. CNAs Tanya and Brenda just to name a few are awesome. Therapy Scottie and Kerry got me back to where I need to be and able to go back home. I would highly recommend Diversicare to anyone needing rehab and nursing needs."

"Kindred Nursing was very nice and gentle to mom and to the family. As mom was in the process of dying, her room was straight across the nurses' station. She had a private room and they had the hospice team come in to make sure she was comfortable. Mom was past eating at that time. She was no longer conscious and the room was cleaned on a regular basis. The nurses came in on a regular basis to check on her and to check on us. That was me and my mom, her brother and his wife. They turned her on a very regular basis so that she would not develop bed sores. Anytime we had a concern about something and rang the bell, they came immediately and toward the end, she was breathing a lot through her mouth and it got dry and would start to bleed a whole bit. They were real good at attempting to keep that moist and showed us how to do it and toward the end, they would explain things to us about her breathing like the end is getting close and then the three of us were there when she took her last breath. I went out to get a nurse and they came in and checked her. As she had passed away, they let us stay as long as we wanted to, they did not rush us. I was pleasantly surprised at how much care they showed her. "

"The staff are very warm and friendly. Great relationships were made while I was here. Food was great. Activity director really understood my needs. I even got to paint and get a manicure! Overall good experience and I recommend to all. I did have a roommate but I made a true friend. The rooms were kept clean all of the time. "

"My mother-in-law is currently at NHC in Oak Ridge, and she is getting very good care. I have noticed that mornings are more lively, and that might be a good time to make a first visit to check it out. All staff have been very friendly and caring with her (and us!). "

"We visited Asbury Place Maryville a couple of years ago. We thought it was very nice. It certainly covers all bases that allow independent living in the single homes, if you need more help a little later you can move into the assisted living unit, and then if you get sick and need to be in a nursing home, it provides that also. We were looking at all of it as much as we could. We looked at plans for new stuff. I'm legally blind, so I can't drive, and my husband is 86 years old, so the transportation situation was very good. It was things like that we were looking at as much as the independent home because we're both able to take care of the house. We have friends that live there. It's just about anything you could ask for. They were just so cordial and so nice. It was a very pleasant visit. The staff were very cordial. They answered all the questions that we had. We knew quite a bit about it before we went from our friends. They were very, very nice. I thought the independent living was a 5; they were very nice homes. Our friends said that the food is very good, although they cook in their home most of the time. But on occasion when I go over, the food is inexpensive. You just have to let them know that you want to eat the dinner meal or whatever, and they make arrangements for you to do that. It was like $4 or $5 for a meal, and in today's world, that's very inexpensive. They have lots of activities for the people to participate in like crafts, playing games, as well as shopping, going to the doctor, and going on excursions."

"My Mother had the pleasure of staying here for a recuperation from a broken femur. At almost 89 years old, she was very fragile. Everyone there and I mean from food services to janitorial personnel and all the nursing staff gave her the utmost care! The therapists were top notch. They were very compassionate and caring. I could never find a facility to take better care of my precious Mother than this entire staff. The Administrative staff was very informative with any questions we had and was very caring. They are like family now! My many thanks and blessing to your entire staff."
