"The Residences at Park Place would be my second choice. I liked the activities that they had. There was a lot of light, and I liked the layout of the rooms. I didn't like the layout quite as much as I did the other place, but the price was comparable. "

"The Blake at Hollingsworth Park was nice. Everything was very nice. It's been built in the past few years, and I don't know exactly when, but I feel like they've opened up fairly recently, so it's very new. The staff was great. They're very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. It's probably the number one place on my list if we had to go."

"I toured The Legacy at Southpointe Drive. I like how they handle everything professionally. It was clean. The lady staff that we spoke with was very professional. The facility was well taken care of, and the patients looked well. They had a patio, and they had bingo. The residents were very friendly."

"Our tour experience at Harmony at Five Forks was good. We liked the actual size of the apartments, and it came with a full kitchen, with a washer and dryer inside the unit, which was good. The staff member who gave the tour, Adam, was very good. He was very friendly and very informative. They had cards, outings, activity nights, and a bunch of stuff."

"My sister moved into Brookstone Terrace of Simpsonville. My brother went on a tour first because he lives in that area. And then I went up and we took my sister with us, and she liked it. People were very kind and caring and seemed very professional, but they also seemed fun and I wanted my sister to have fun along with good care. So we went ahead and signed a contract and moved in on March 1st. Their staff has been so good. If I have a question, I call and they get right back to me. They answer my questions. They take very good care of her and they honestly care about her as a person. My sister is enjoying their food. Her room is kept well, and the facility itself is kept well, but I'm just kind of a neat freak. I've seen a lot of their activities because they have a Facebook page and my sister has been involved in just about all of them. But they do crafts, and they do mind stimulating games, and they play bingo, and they've played hot potato to a lot of things where there's physical interaction with the group. They just make it fun. They do a ball toss with a big parachute thing with a group. So she's been participating in almost everything."

"Our tour experience at The Residences of Greer was good. It was a really nice place. The lady that gave us the tour was really sweet, nice, and informative. While the other ones have a price for room and board and a price for medication, at The Residences of Greer these are included in one price, and that to me was good. That was a plus for them. They are a two-level facility, so we weren't crazy about that just because of that. We would rather have my mom in a one-level place. The activities and stuff are on the second floor with all the residents. Some of the residents are downstairs, too, but they go upstairs to do the dining and all that stuff. That's all on the second level. Memory care has their own courtyard and their own wing of the place. Their rooms are the same. They're just small rooms with no kitchenette in the memory care part. It's a newer building. They were painting and updating it, but they had been there for probably five or six years."

"Clemson Heritage Senior Living was beautiful. It was clean and had lots of bright lights so people could see where they were going. They had a nice area to eat. They had a good menu and people looked happy and content. They had showers and they would do the laundry for the people. Then they had a get-togethers and a piano. There was freedom of movement there. It was very nice. I also liked the rooms. They were large and they had big bathrooms that they could move in and out of comfortably and a lot of privacy."

"I visited Dominion Senior Living at Patrick Square, and I was very impressed with it. It's fairly new. It was very nice, very clean, and laid out well. The people seemed to be very attentive and caring. The staff who gave me the tour was very professional and knowledgeable. They have a couple of outside patios and some nice open rooms. The rooms at memory care were very clean and laid out nicely. The bathrooms were easy for them to use in and out."

"We choose Clemson Downs for my mother. She is familiar with the area. She has a nice, small apartment. My mother picked it, and I find it suitable and appropriate. They have meals. I walk in the cafeteria and see the food, but I have not eaten there. She is not in yet, but she will be. They are revamping the apartment before she moves in. It is their standard procedure to put in new flooring, new paint and make a specific adjustment for her to fit her needs. The personnel stand out to me. They are very accommodating and very personable, and they go above and beyond. I think I will recommend them, but I like to wait until my mom moves in to see how everything works out. "

"I was very pleased with Dominion Senior Living of Anderson. I really had no complaints. I was just trying to get Mom closer to me. We moved Mom in at the height of the pandemic and we just dropped off furniture outside. I didn't even see the inside for several months, and I was still pleased with all of her care. My mom called the staff members her girls, and she just really had a good personal connection with them. They never allowed visitors to eat because it was pandemic times. It was very clean and welcoming, and they had rockers out front and there was always somebody sitting in them. They had outside activities they could sign up for, but they also had musicians come in. It is a Christian environment, so they always had a church service. They were able to handle her care excellently."

"I liked Oaks at Chanticleer. It was beautiful. It's all memory care and it was so adorable and creative on how they have it set up. I enjoyed talking to Galen. She has called me several times. The residents and everybody there looked like they were content and happy."

"The facility was in great condition and the staff was very friendly. My grandfather suffered from alzheimer's disease and the staff was very competant in addressing his individual needs. They have a great program set up for residents who suffer from memory loss disorders. The staff always did a great job at keeping us informed about his condition. After he passed away they did everything they could to help us through the grieving process and staff members even personally reached out to my grandmother to make sure she had everything she needed. "

"I am in Spring Park now. It's nice, they keep it clean. People that visit have remarked about the cleanliness of the place. I think the staff do a good job. We haven't had anyone here with the virus. We've had about six people, I think, that checked positive, but then the next test would be negative, so they've all been false positives. They've kept us out of the way of it anyway. I think the food is very good. We have a chef that used to be the chef at a place which is for rich people really. They have very expensive homes up there. He was there for several years, and he's been here now, I believe, for five years. We have a lady who is full time in the acitivities department, and she's always got something planned for the people."

They have a full time activity coordinator and keep the residence very busy and feeling young at heart here. I worked through their volunteer program and spent many hours enjoying socializing with the special residents of Shepherd's Care Center. The activity coordinator at that time was easy to work with in my scheduling also. There is licensed nurse supervision and nursing assistants. Dementia care for your loved ones are offered here as well. The place is spacious and clean. They offer 3 restaurant style meals daily plus snacks for the residence. It is conveniently located to a small shopping mall across the street with grocery store and other general stores as well. "
