"My sister is going to PruittHealth - Toccoa. It was very nice, and the people who were with us were very nice and answered all the questions I needed answered. The rooms were pretty nice for a nursing home. It was very nicely done. Some of the rooms had two beds and some had one. I looked at the one that had a one bed and it was a good size. The dining area was very nice."

"My mom is in the nursing home at NHC HealthCare - Anderson. I'm very pleased. It seems that they have enough caretakers to take care of the people that are in there and personal attention was given when needed. They're pureeing her food; I didn't have a meal there. They play bingo, they have movies in the evening, and they also do crafts."

"My wife was at AnMed Health Rehabilitation for two weeks. She was in a shared room. It was an institutional setup. The staff was very nice. We first went there during COVID, and two more times within the last three years. She dealt mostly with the therapists, who were very nice to her. I know she liked that a lot, but every time they started working with her, she'd have to go back to the emergency room and have another operation. I had no complaints. They knew what they were doing. They were knowledgeable. They were very nice to me. She enjoyed the staff. There were no stairs. There was no elevator. A couple of times they placed her far down the hall and I just couldn't make it all the way down the hall where they put her. The receptionist was leaving the desk, finding me a wheelchair, and then wheeling me down to the end of the hall and they had no problem with it. They were smiling. A lot of the girls that took me out to my car when I left were very friendly and very chatty. She liked the food, and I liked what little I had of it. It's a small place. There was one big room you passed that had vending machines in it. It was nice and it was where visitors could meet you and you were not laying in bed."

"I toured Serenity at Easley. They were very friendly and very willing to help. They gave us a good tour of the building. Some of the clients were very friendly. They came to greet us and asked us if we were going to be there. It was a very pleasant experience. The kitchen in the room was very small, and that's one thing that turned me off because I love to cook. The place was very neat and clean though. They showed us where the dining area was, and that was very neat and tidy."

"My mother-in-law needed to go to a rehab facility and I put the word out on nextdoor to see if anyone could give me some feedback. We liked the thought of her being at a place near us, but only if it was nice. Luckily I had someone who said great things about Fleetwood, so we chose it (there were few Medicare would accept and we knew of 2 that are NOT good). Before sending my MIL, I actually visited just to see for myself. I was shown around by Erica, who is the sweetest! My MIL was there for 3 weeks and I can honestly say that I'm so glad we chose it. It was close enough for us to visit whenever, so if there was anything bad to find I would have. Nurses were so nice. (Summer took very good care of my MIL.) It always smells clean, which is a HUGE plus for me. The only negative I had, which they took care of, was that her bed was not comfortable. As soon as I told her nurse, it took about a day and she had a new one. My MIL said that she loved Paula, who cleaned. She raved about Paula. The PT crew was good and she said the food is good, too. The building may look old...but as I was told by the one who recommended it to me...Don't judge a book by it's cover. Thanks so much to everyone there! I may make it a weekly or monthly thing to go over there and see some of the patients. I loved walking in and seeing them smile when I said "hello!" (date 4/2023)"

"Last month my mom became a resident of Ellenburg.Nursing Center. Every one I have met from the admissions office to the nursing staff have shown a genuine concern for my mom. I have never heard a negative comment or seen a negative attitude from any of the nursing staff. I know mother is well taken care of and she is safe. Even the activities director is fantastic. Mother used to work crossword puzzles and as her dementia has progressed, she can only work the word search puzzles, she always has a new puzzle book in her room. I can not say enough positive things about Ellenburg. Everytime I visit my mom, I try to make a point to tell someone what a blessing they are to me and how much they are appreciated. "

"Steer clear of Hartwell. I have documented medication errors and medical conditions that went untreated brought to the attention of Administrator, Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing. When these issues were supposedly investigated, things were covered up or left off the report in their favor. The floor nurses are programmed to be robots just to pass meds. and follow doctors orders. Management including shift nursing supervisors didn’t even know what was going on. Their was no accountability, staff could pretty much do what they wanted and get away with it. On several occasions, my loved one wanted to go to bed early because of not feeling well and was told they couldn’t until after supper! The only positive thing I could say is there were a few caring CNA’s who worked there but no longer are that did a great job."

"My dad is at Hart Care Center. The facility has been very accommodating and works with Daddy well. It is just that my father has dementia and it is steadily progressing quickly, but as far as the care there, we've been very satisfied. His room is nice. He is next to the window. He has a roommate. We're very pleased with it. My dad is restricted in his swallowing, so they have him on pureed food, which seems to be going well. His weight has stabilized and they're giving him supplements and stuff along with the pureed diet. He is tolerating that diet well. We haven't had any issues with the staff, too. Everything is fine. It's going well. They're doing great with my dad right now. They offer several things for activities, like arts and crafts, bingo, and just multiple puzzles, but my dad is not able to participate."

"I have been staying in a room that is not that big. The people here at Capstone are OK. I'm doing therapy for one hour a day. They have been trying to get me acclimated to a wheelchair. They wanted to strengthen my right side, but I want to walk because I don't want to use a wheelchair. About the food -- let me put it this way -- I can cook better than them, and I have only one eye. It is a rehab center for short term and long term rehabilitation. In my case, it is short term rehabilitation. "

"I toured Foothills Retirement Community. They're a very nice place, at the top of the line, with many activities. It's more like a hotel. They're very nice. I only dealt with one person. He was very nice, very helpful, and toured the whole area. He just answered all my questions. They have apartments and they have one-bedroom facilities. They have a lot, depending on how much you want to pay, and what your needs are. If you need more care, they probably have you in a one bedroom with a bath included. They have everything like game rooms and an outside courtyard area with a fireplace. It's very nice."

"Staff is awesome, couldn't ask for better care! There are always activities for the residents to enjoy when they feel up to it. Since COVID, they are limited for their own protection. The building is old, but kept very clean. "

"My husband is in VA Nursing Home (Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home). This is a nursing home for veterans, and most of the people there are not eligible for assisted living because they cannot help themselves. It is fine. He has only been there for a month, but so far so good. The food is fine. He doesn't always have exactly what he wants to eat, but it is good food. They have double rooms -- which is 2 people in a room -- and it is not really spacious, but it is enough. They do have activities. I know they have bingo, music, birthday parties for the residents, and Church services. "
